The newer green reduction LUT seems to be a big improvement over the first one! I’d been applying the old one at about 50%, but this one might look good at full blast.
If you wouldn’t mind, skenera, maybe it’d be better if you could render out and send me the de-blue clip at, say, 67% application? That is, two thirds of the way to a total de-blueification.
I only have a reduce_green LUT without a version number and an alternate. (Plus pasana and grey Exogol.)
Can you send me the most recent LUTs you have?
Yoda was hardly blue in TLJ. If we’re lucky I can just overlay it and be able to adjust opacity to adjust if needed.
When I make it that far we can see, and see how it looks in the upcoming workprint. So far I’m doing a scene by scene application of the LUTs from skenera. Some environments call for less change than others.

Guys, I’m fine! I just lament the inability to spend quality time with editing on this project. But I am able to do what is needed to fold this together. I just wish I had more time to dedicate!
I want to keep a tight focus for this project’s scope, in order to actually release a finished product and suspend indefinite “could do-s.”
And, Cinefy, no joke, I would be happy to send you a lossless audio export if you’d like to do whatever you’d like to it musically and let me mux it in as an alternate audio track.
I will work on a last workprint. It won’t have the saber crackle sounds, so as to be coherent with the lack of crackling saber visuals for right now.
This will serve as a sync reference so that chapters, subtitles, and commentary track can be done during the wait for the last few things.
There’ll always be more ideas, but the main ones that have emerged and been vetted have been implemented and will serve as a solid base upon which anyone can build.

Good question. The regular version is waiting on a few things, then will be released. After that, whenever the needed scenes are completed by others, the Rey Nobody cut will be completed.
Yes, that’s a good example of what I mean! I don’t mean any offense to Cinefy whatsoever. I just don’t share a specific goal of wanting to add prequel music throughout, so I’m going to decline anything that doesn’t seem like a slam dunk. But y’know, if Cinefy would like to do an alternate audio track with any or all of those ideas, I can send him the audio output once the edit’s sync is locked.

Once I have those things I will do a color pass using skenera’s LUTs and get all the other stuff ready. That may take some time in its own right. I’m not sure about the commentary. It will be difficult for me to find dedicated time out to record even a solo commentary, let alone coordinating a group one. I might have to just do a solo one in chunks. I’m tempted to just skip it!

I think that little scene is better without music. In this movie, having points like that to just have a little gag outside the main action without music helps a little to slow the pace. I hope I’m not being petty but I think it was a good call not to score that moment in the first place.

I feel pretty settled about the level and method of including DOTF in the duel. It’s noticeable but subtle, brief, and leads into existing music after a gap with no score.
Well, there’d be that snippet followed by a long gap with no music, another DOTF snippet, then the existing score. I think it’d be better with just what you’ve already done.
