I have 1TB of space that comes with my ISP, so that’s why I’ve used it. There’s a ton of data, so I don’t know a good alternative.
That and trimming Luke’s hair were the main things. I mean, there were tons of things considered that didn’t end up being done or included.
Man, I felt genuinely bummed to recall looking forward to MagnoliaFan’s Episode III.
Depends on if the effect ends up being finished. The user who was producing it hasn’t been seen since late August.
I really enjoyed TFA, though I had hoped they’d gotten the retreading out of their system and was glad JJ Abrams wasn’t doing the whole trilogy. It smelled like Star Wars, though it felt a little anemic. With a few particularly frustrating aspects, it bore its flaws pretty well and served to get me excited for what was to follow.
TLJ, while overly contentious and contrarian at times, offered something of substance grown out of TFA. I had a journey about this movie, going from displeased about muh hero Luke to digging the gist of it. It elevated the sequel trilogy somewhat. It took some risks, but let’s be honest: it still retreaded the OT pretty hard.
TROS was just silly, and that’s too bad. I think they would rather have put out something comfortably mediocre and uninspired than take up any real inspiration. I could only laugh, and I’m glad I could at least do that. It’s the anti-TFA, making you less excited about this whole thing and strangling the characters back into nothingness. Hindsight is 20/20, but it’s hard to imagine Trevorrow producing something worse, even with the sad passing of Fischer. JJ was the absolute incorrect choice in any artistic sense.
This stuff keeps getting harder to make available. I’d just like for there to be a place people can easily get all this stuff when I’m done.
One shortcut is to look on the Drive. If it’s there, it’s current.

I’ll have to keep this in mind for a potential V2. It’a a change done by the ‘Fixing Disney Star Wars’ guys. Whatever you think of them, I thought this was an interesting little tweak.

This tweak seems to reduce the ‘fan fiction character’ phenomena in which an adversary seems to make an odd statement by complimenting Rey.
The 1080p and DVD versions (two each) are currently uploading. The mp4’s are being encoded and will follow.

And yeah, this will replace the old versions. I removed the old ones from the Drive and the new ones will trickle up as they are finished encoding. So whatever you see there is of the new one.
OP updated to reflect an update to ROTJ, essentially remastering it to use OhTeeDee’s color corrected 19SE and OTD83 projects. To me, these two sources make the OOT and SE material blend together more seamlessly than I have ever seen before. I am very satisfied with this presentation of ROTJ, and thank OhTeeDee again for his help in providing such awesome source material. And of course to those behind 4K83, and SkyDude, who made even that possible. I will similarly update ANH and ESB in time.

There’d be the real possibility that any deleted material would make us say, “that’s really cool but I see why it was cut” or “this doesn’t actually improve the film when edited back in.”
No. My sensibilities about how to approach a LOTR edit has changed a great deal since 2008. I don’t really stand by this old project.
I’ve been happy the last couple years with my extended versions of Kerr’s yet-unreleased LOTR edits. If that’s not confusing enough, check a few pages back for info about that project.
Thank you. And if they were to release any deleted scenes in good quality that actually seem to be an improvement upon the film, I’d totally do an updated version. Not holding my breath, though.
