Or if you can describe what you did I can try recreating it.

Dawn of the Rise of the Skywalker: Justice Ascending
You’re saying you have a LUT you suggest using for the entire film? I’m game.
And Burbin, I will absolutely wait to hear from you about the R2 shot. It’s the most nitpicky thing imaginable, but they went to lengths to have most other things match ANH closely. Vader’s red eyes and things like that.
I didn’t realize it was finished either. Could you direct me to download links for them?
I had/made some time this evening to tend to this project. I added the Death Star duel saber footage from Luka Frik, and the Coruscant shot. The latter needed an audio extension so I patched that. I borrowed DominicCobb’s idea to merge two sequences that were split of Rey landing on Exegol and making her way toward the Emperor. I removed Sith-eyes Threepio mentioning that the spot must be approached “from the Southern shore.” And I removed Rey’s mother calling her by name, which was easily done without issue. (I like the idea from TFA lore that Rey named herself, borrowing from the X-Wing helmet she had. If any future EU stuff depicts her name going back to birth, this won’t contradict it.)
I tracked the timing adjustments made to sync, so hopefully I can adjust the commentary, subtitles, and chapters without a bigger fuss.
Felt good to get this more in order. And although I don’t know when, there will come a Rey Nobody alternative version.
Cool, thanks. Just so I know, are the shots named and time precisely the same?
And if you do still want to do the R2 shot, let me know and I’d be happy to wait.
EDIT: I forgot you had said the shot proved too difficult.
Vader’s castle shots, Coruscant shots (may be finished, I don’t remember), crackly saber, and a de-blue effect for jonh’s Luke haircut.
Not to mention implementing those things and trying out a couple other ideas I can do on my own. Once the ingredients are there I’ll be happy to get it rolling when I can.
EDIT: It seems like jonh still had another pass to make on the Luke footage, too.
God damn, you’re right. Well… I guess a fixed release will be necessary. When you’re happy with new clips, hit me up, Burbin! And what should I do differently with the Spanish subs?
I did nothing with the overall picture at all, nor anything with the audio during any sequence not specifically mentioned in the changelist. It was quick… half-assed, you could say.
I’ll check that moment out to make sure, but there really shouldn’t be a reason for it!
I gotcha. I mean that when I watch as the clips come in and out I don’t notice any issues with the transition.
501st. I think if this truly were a new show I’d be asking, “Why do the clones have such piss and vinegar? I thought they were genetically altered to be docile sheeple that blindly took orders.”
Even so, I enjoyed this one. It wasn’t super fascinating but I assume it covers and develops up future primary clone characters, Rex and Cody included. There was some welcome involvement from other series regulars.
The pacing was quick, even as it was a longer episode. It’s just gonna be inevitable with this sort of project, though. It surprised me to see 99 DIE though, given the gag video you posted a couple days ago!
I like that Obi-Wan (and Yoda) hasn’t yet had much to do with R2. I don’t know if that will (or should) continue, but so far I imagine he’s just dismissive of droids as AOTC establishes him and probably doesn’t remember R2 by ANH or at least doesn’t assume it’s the same droid right away. Like if you finally remember someone’s name 10 minutes into a gathering and don’t really have the occasion afterward to use it. Like old Ben just doesn’t really care about droids much, kindly though he is.
Okay, I don’t know if that’s helpful as I’m just giving you my thoughts as I imagine having them if this were a new show.
When I look at the 1080p encode of V2 as hard as I can, I don’t notice any issue, so I’ll let it stand.
I sure didn’t notice anything wrong with them, even as they kick in mid-shot.
^ Nice 😃
Nice.
That’s all right! Ideally ANH would have R2’s light adjusted throughout. When Adywan finished ANH:R HD I doubt that all the shots needed would be free of other changes or a good match color-wise.
I’ll try to as well, and I agree: you’re doing a hell of a job organizing and going about this!
It’s insane how much better that looks.
Oh, yeah, I meant that it’s on its way up.
V2 is up in the usual spots. Only changes are to implement Burbin’s Deepfake cobbling for Tarkin and Leia.
Not on my end of things. I’ve been super busy, but will implement the best solutions once they’ve been generated by others.
I mean, it’s all right with me if anyone would like to include these in an appropriate project, but it’d surprise me if Harmy wished to, given the focus of that project.
I don’t know why they would be. They aren’t a restoration of anything.
But they should be compatible with them.
Hi does anyone have version 5 and version 6 of hal 9000 edits
Not all of them even have that high of a version number. If you look on the Google Drive, they are up to date. PM me if you need the link.
Oh, fantastic!
Whoa, yeah, are you working on scenes kewlfish had done before… before he went missing?
Hmm, I don’t think that’d be a good idea. The lack of a scream would probably communicate that point more effectively.
