Oh, I agree totally. Just voicing a thought I would have had if it were a new show in 2020 after I’d worked on LOE.

Sounds fine to me!
And that gif is meant to be dryly sarcastic. Like “I’m entitled without question to just seize anything you have.”
Deepfake them with low-resolution images of their own faces, perhaps becoming progressively distorted throughout the film.
There’s a pine tree in this shot, so we’re fine:
Out of context, this is such a fantastic remark. I can’t stop thinking about a Star Wars fan pouring over the film to make sure there was a pine tree somewhere in it.
lol, to be fair I noticed it while watching a test clip once I had plugged in MR’s and Burbin’s recent FX tweaks.
Also MR’s recent footage looks fantastic. I agree with Dom about the mist but even so I wouldn’t have batted an eye.
And sometimes while I think the nuances of color correcting people get on about (“there’s a bit too much green in the highlights” and stuff like that) evade me, you’re pressing on with a challenge. Just out of curiosity, you’re saying with Leia’s saber you literally do not perceive a difference between the new and original footage?
Just wondering, will the opening line “It is the early days of the Clone Wars” be changed at some point through the series? It’s only three years and Anakin’s had time to fight a while, get knighted, and grow his hair out.
Oh and one other thing about the last episode I know I would have commented on, even though it should it impact any of your decisions, is that Obi-Wan calls R2 by name. Just because of my history. There’s no good way to reconcile it with ANH. lol
Did you have to make us all penguins?
There’s a pine tree in this shot, so we’re fine:
I mean, I made one ever, and an intentionally bad one at that.
Lots of… well, spaghetti.
I’d like to see it. I know you got the chops. If I had regular free time I’d like to try “adapting” some ideas from this thread.
Add dead porgs by the wayside to all Ach-To scenes.
If anyone gets to it before I do, feel free. I’m sure I can though, whenever I have the right opportunity to spend the time and aren’t up to my ears in business stuff.
Because I’m an adult with business stuff now.
Episode 6 from hypothetical newcomer POV:
Interesting drama with Ventress getting the boot, and involving drawing from the same stock as Maul. It didn’t feel contrived and seemed to make sense. It did seem weird not to really involve the very first scene of the series where Maul is found alive somehow.
The episode itself felt long, and I was having a hard time staying away, but that was mostly my fault. I agree that I found myself wondering… “Where’s Poochie?” Since it’s been a while since seeing Ashoka. I don’t mind not seeing her, but it makes me wonder if she did end up becoming Anakin’s apprentice after all.
Overall the story was well structured and I noticed parallels in the story I may not have if it were split into 3 or 4 parts. Ventress becomes the next Sidious by creating the same situation for someone else that she felt so hurt by.
MR, that looks great! And dialing it up a little helps the audience notice the saber crackles now, for lack of a dedicated shot to clearly dwell on it, even if later scenes aren’t cranked to the same level.
And I don’t think I’d want to make Rey’s saber into a double blade, to fit in with material I hope to eventually see or read about that continues the story.
I’m listening side by side and I can’t tell a difference.
But that is my least favorite audio moment, that whole sequence removing Anakin from the cockpit.

I wish you pleasant rest. Come back soon.
I’m not sure that’s such a great idea. Better not to draw their attention to any of this sort of thing at all. Don’t need to cut off our nose to spite our face.
I mean, the Death Star was also totally vaporized, so…
Put the wreckage of the second Death Star in the background, implying it was somehow still spaceworthy and he just flew the whole thing to Exegol.

IMHO, it’s a grey area we and the people of FE.org have maintained distance between for years. It may be somewhat out of touch with how the Internet works nowadays, but we’ve been forged by fire.
Can we let it go, though? It sounds like the disagreement is about how to assess the agreed upon facts.
Either way, this site will be free of that grey area, whether one wishes to pursue the during the parts of their lives when they aren’t on this site. (What is that, maybe 20% of their time?)
No, no, lol. It’s great to pool stuff and just take what you like.
It’ll be fun to see this movie again, as I don’t have it memorized or anything.
Maybe during the last half second of the Han scene Ben just vanishes.
Hey Hal, whichever you go with for your edit, would you be willing to provide the “alternate” choice with the applied LUT? At least saved in a folder for access?
I have the clip saved, and the LUT, but not the clip with LUT already applied. Certainly could, though.
And I agree it’s a tough call, hence the poll!
