Thanks, I couldn’t seem to find a good edit point but now I see what you did there.
No, and no IMHO. Artistic license to the former, and super-nerd levels of pickiness to the second. 😛
Also, DigMod, would you mind posting a clip of your version of the “I am the pilot” exchange?
As cool as the idea is, I think I will leave the sequence of the post-Jedha scene as-is. I’ll remove Cassian’s pre-instructions about killing Galen Erso, though, as I think that’s a fairly elegant change that works well.
Of course!
Can’t remember the name of the track but it’s when Palpatine reveals to Anakin his Sithiness.
There’s a short bit from ROTS, I believe it kicks in right as Palpatine first reacts with an “ugch” as he first tries to shock the duo following “stand together, due together.”
I think that’s right, except that DigMod and I may deviate further as we revise our projects. (Or perhaps those will end up pretty similar.)
I don’t know RO like the back of my hand but I’ll see if I run into any problems editing this scene whenever I end up doing so. You guys are giving me quite a to-do list once I have time to dedicate to it.
Tell me about it…
I like that, man! Where’d the Cassian line come from?
Just to be sure, Burbin, are the newer color corrected deepfake clips meant to blend (mid-shot even) with the regular BluRay? Or to correspond with some global color correction applied to the source first?
Also, unrelated to anything else, where’s your username come from?
Pryde shoots Hux in the head rather than chest.
Oooh, could that be done for real?
Right, I was unclear as I typed that shortly after gaining consciousness. I am still using FCP7.
No issues for me, though I converted it to ProRes first.
Yeeeaaaaahhh…
I don’t care to grab a screencap but we all know Dooku’s crappy CGI double.
That’d be wonderful, even if not attainable via fan editing. Should’ve been how it went.
Let’s see which craft wins, but sure!
It wouldn’t really address the implausibility of the situation, but might be helpful nonetheless. If anyone would like to do this, I’d be happy to use it.
If Vader’s TIE wins the poll in a week, anyway.
Nevermind, here’s a 5.1 clip to preview. https://drive.google.com/file/d/10ovgZ_BGHBKpCq4mpcpXUuWAqMR8Xc8i/view?usp=drivesdk
Actually, it sounds rough between lines so I’ll revisit it.
I got the post-Jedha scene to work, and sound good to me at least. I’ll post a clip when I can, maybe tonight.
And implement that audio clip. And see about the shield line.
Could end up sounding like this at 1:24:24 - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3lH_EMahMQM
Hehe…
Yeah it’ll be real good to get TROS done, and with it the entire saga. Boy.
I edit with six discrete channels, so I do manual pans by bringing sound in and out of those channels. I probably wouldn’t do it that was as a pro, but it’s what I’ve done so far and why change now?
Thanks, that is a subtle change. I had essentially recreated it but I thought I must have misunderstood because it felt jerky to me. Whereas this looks fine, so it’s probably just the way it was framed: something someone else did that people say is good versus seeing it in my editing window with the frame outlines moving around.
And DigMod, I imagine wav files will be the best bet.
One of those other voices could always be given some expository dialogue.
“I am the voice of Darth Bane, the first Sith to go into hiding a millennia ago and plan our revenge. I and all my successors now reside within the vessel of the final Sith Lord. Don’t fuck with us!”
Wait, wrong thread.
Ooooh, that new shot for coming out of hyperspace at the start is awesome! Hope you can get some rest, though.
And to answer an earlier question, I shifted the pitch of a long sample of Kylo’s saber and basically move this sound around to match the saber’s movement and presence onscreen. It’s more subtle than Kylo’s sounds to match the more subtle visual effect. It relies on the original audio for swishes and swooshes.
