lol, did you just make that?

Incredibilly
A Stormtrooper.

Vice Admiral Holdo doesn’t ram the Star Destroyer. She survives to fight in the Battle of Crait, though is shot down by a walker.
Communicated by a now-subtitled BB8, Rey was temporarily looked after by Obi-Wan Kenobi’s grandson for a couple weeks once when Uncle Plutt (that’s his name and biological relation now, too) was on vacation. BB8 was present for the occasion, being owned by Kenobi before sending him with an urgent message for then-Senator Leia shortly after.

That’s pretty darn cool! My only nitpick is I think the added porg sounds are a little corny.
Finn speaks French, except when he yells “REY” in Japanese. Any non-dialogue grunts or noises are Italian. Any helmeted dialogue is French with the English lines at a half-second delay and processed to sound tinny.

I imagine the blue-ness of Luke is a limiting factor. One of the nice things about Nev’s grading is it takes that down a peg.
I’m getting a small business off the ground and so there will be times where I may not be all that active for a while. BUT, things are obviously still in motion and it will all come together. The Rey Nobody version is not pushed back by the default version taking a while, as development of that aspect is in the Rey Nobody thread.
“We’re taking this baby to the mooooooon!”

I’ve added playing around with that Mustafar shot to my to-do list, but it’s likely I’ll be preoccupied for the near future. Got some real-life things I need to prioritize for right now.
D-O speaks in droid language. He’s subtitled, and extremely verbose.
When Finn blows up
“Sad.”

Well, I knew there’d be a lot to come back to today after taking the weekend off from this thread.
The Mustafar shot: interesting idea and great mockup. I don’t think I prefer it over the either of the two existing shots we’ve added to the sequence, though, and I wonder if three shots would be too much. Or if it would even harmonize well with the existing forest shot.
The Exegol battle. Boy, oh, boy, I gotta be honest in saying that I don’t really care one way or the other. Personally, if there’s a decent argument to be made for the way it plays on in the theatrical, I’d rather leave it alone. I’ll just put this to bed and decide against making changes to it. Fortunately, as sherlock outlines, the couple of changed needed could easily be made by whomever may want to.
I think that’d be a whole ‘nother level, unless your two clips were at the same angle to begin with.
I’ll swear some for you. Condolences.
Hey guys, I’m gonna give myself permission to check out regarding TROS:A for the weekend. I’ll check back in on Monday.
When Rey protests about Poe’s ire after returning to base in TROS, modify Finn’s line to, “[You know] it’s true.”
I just love how caveman-logic that idea is.
“Let me see them… my parents…”
“Eh, sure, here ya go!”
Butterfly effect, maybe there wouldn’t have been the capitol riots.
JEDIT: Say I’m a determinist. I’d say, “This movie was always going to happen. TROS was ordained from the foundation of the world.”
In Rey’s cave vision in TLJ, when Rey asks the mirror to show her her parents, replace Rey’s reflection when the mirror clears with her parents from TROS.

Alright, this is a SUPER subtle change but these are the kinds of things that will make Leia’s performance seem more realistic. I added in some light struggle effects when Leia collapses in the command room:
I forgot to lower the pitch on it but I think it works well enough as-is.
Pretty subtle indeed, but I like it.
Yeah I agree that it’d be too on the nose to snipe a line from TROS.
It’s too much. I’d love to do that in 2018 though.
Eh, let’s do it, then, and lop off those four words. Sounds like the dynamics of the rest of the movie still make as much sense as before and I guarantee you I’d never notice that line was shortened if I watched the movie a million times.
Thinking about that dumbass Sith fleet.
Seems like the best way to smooth things over would’ve been to portray the FO as crippled, desperate, and scrappy in TLJ. (There could’ve been a dangerous power vacuum.) Then they stood to benefit from an actual fleet in TROS.
The FO was already comically overpowered in TLJ, so it makes little sense to suggest their resources would be increased by a factor of ten thousand. This is compounded by the idea that random monk people on a hidden wasteland built all this (tens of thousands of ships identical to Imperial design) by hand over 30 years out of crap smuggled in from their pockets.
In our retelling, it’s a stashed Imperial fleet, which really can’t be all that large. But there’s just about no way to remove the idea that the FO is beholden to it, or drastically reduce their power in TLJ.
