So, last year I released v2.0 on my birthday. This year I wanted to release v2.5 on this day but it didn't work out, so I decided to do something else to celebrate my birthday and you can find out what in the ESB DeEd thread. :-)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Harmy!!!  Now go out and take a much deserved (but hopefully not TOO, TOO long) break from this place… :D

Its all good, we are very very close to releasing SW 77, will be a little bit later for ANH 97 SE though, we have a lot in between going on.

So, will the upcoming Star Wars (1977) be part of "Star Wars Original Trilogy Theatrical Edition Blu-ray Set V2(BD25)", or will this mark Blu-ray Set V3 (…and will this release include latest/greatest audio tracks from hairy_hen most recently, to my knowledge, discussed here and here)?

also, are ESB and ROTJ from the same set on the horizon?  Under development?  Or more like pre-production?

SUPER DUPER, really, truly excited for each of your upcoming "Theatrical Edition" Blu-ray releases!!!  :D

Thank you Team Blu, your dedication to excellence is truly remarkable!

Well, I received a response to my MKVToolNix bug tracker ticket:

(for my FULL original post, please visit https://trac.bunkus.org/ticket/911)

moritz (MKVToolNix tech support) said:

The special characters are not a property of the language, but of the character set that's been used to create the file. All languages on this planet can actually be expressed in more than one character set: at least in UTF-8, UTF-16 and UTF-32. Then you also have all the legacy charset (e.g. ISO-8859-1 or Windows-Latin1, CP1450 etc. etc). You'll have to tell mkvmerge that as well. You can use mmg's "subtitle charset" option for it.

There is generally no way to auto-detect the character set used by text file. Programs can take guesses with some measure of certainty, but that's always prone to a lot of false positive -- which is why mkvmerge simply opts not to do that.

In you case:

•The files with "UTF-8" in their names are encoded in UTF-8 (duh!).

•The Polish file is encoded in UTF-8 as well.

•The French and Spanish files, however, are encoded in ISO-8859-15.

•The English file doesn't use any non-ASCII characters, therefore you don't have to select anything special for it.

So, what I take away from this is that for improved compatibility with MKVToolNix (and perhaps other applications) the French and Spanish subs would likely benefit from an ISO-8859-15 to UTF-8 conversion.  A quick Google search, a few lines in Terminal under MacOS X (using the "iconv" command), and I just sent off (what appears to me to be) 100% working, MKVToolNix compatible, UTF-8 format French and Spanish versions of johnlocke2342 and Vali's subs to HanDuet for proper vetting…

That's about it for now! ;)

OK, Polish subs are displaying correctly in that test file.

Right on, thank you Feallan!

I had a quick look at both the English and Spanish subs, myself (and johnlocke2342 already confirmed that his French subs did NOT display properly in my muxed "test" copy).

The English subs appear to display just fine in the mkvmerge muxed "Sources" test video while the muxed Spanish subs appear to suffer from the SAME issues as the French subs (specifically, question marks appearing in the place of "special characters")…and also similar to the French subs, the Spanish subs appear to display normally when viewed externally in VLC under MacOS 10.6.8 (suggesting that the problem is with the mkvmerge encoding).

I would still like to get verification of the working or non-working status of (both) the muxed German subs from my latest "test" build (available HERE) by either their authors (GeorgeKaplan1959 and deho) or another native speaker, but I expect that I will be submitting a bug report to the developer of mkvmerge shortly.

If I recall correctly, changing the default "Charset" setting to "ISO 8859-1" (as discussed HERE) worked fine for both the French and Spanish tracks previously, so we have a "workaround" for at lest those two language tracks.

@johnlocke2342:  That sounds like EXACTLY my experience (which would make sense, as this is the same edit3 version that I had troubles with in mkvmerge before).  In working through the issue previously, I was able to get what appeared to be a SOLID/WORKING muxed version that displayed special characters properly using mkvmerge by changing the "Charset" setting from "Default" to "ISO 8859-1" (for Western Europe) under the "Format specific options" tab for your French_edit3 language track.

The problems emerged for me when:

1) I am probably one of the least qualified to verify if foreign language subs are displaying properly, or not (the ? marks in the French subs were a pretty dead giveaway)…so, I am definitely gonna need help with each of the languages to best troubleshoot the issue.

2) I had previously employed a similar tactic with some of the other tracks as I did with the French one (designating the Polish track as "ISO 8859-16" Central, Eastern and Southern European languages, for instance)…but my effort there seems to have been less successful.

What I can say is that mkvmerge is an excellent and FREE program, and while I am experiencing some difficulties at the present…this really SHOULD work!  The fact that your French_edit3 subs appear to display WITHOUT issue as an external subs file under my MacOS X using VLC Media Player 2.0.8 (but do NOT when muxed using the default "Charset" setting in mkvmerge 6.2.0) suggests to me that issue may well be in mkvmerge's rendering of subtitle character encoding (at least for the French language)…but I would like to gather at least a little more data on this before contacting the developer.

@Feallan:  See my updated post above for a couple additional DL sources, hopefully at least one of the three will work better for you! ;)

@yoda-sama:  LOL, indeed!

"Not (explicitly) for distribution" purposes, but rather in an effort to troubleshoot the issue that I had previously observed (with the improper display of special characters in johnlocke2342's "Sources-Doc_French_edit3.srt" when muxed using the "Default" Charset settings in mkvmerge)…I decided that a preliminary "beta" build using the "Default" Charset setting for ALL language tracks could be a useful reference point toward producing a working final muxed MKV Sources Doc down the road (as previously discussed HERE).

Harmy's brief "Sources" documentary (available HERE) and HanDuet's "Sources Documentary - Current .srt Subtitle List" EXTERNAL subs (available HERE) are the two soul components of this "Sources" sub project as it stands under active development today.

My hope here is simply that native speakers of each of the respective languages (perhaps the developers of the sub files, themselves) might have a look at this "test" file to let us know if each respective language sub track is displaying properly.  IF any tracks are not displaying properly, THEN perhaps we could better determine if it is the result of something that should be fixed in the sub file…OR if it is a bug that should be reported to the developer of mkvmerge.

Here is the current build "test" file:

-> http://bdt918.1fichier.com/

->http://d01.megashares.com/index.php?d01=zbhEv7I

All the best!

-A.S.

p.s.  As a point of reference, in compiling this "test" file I muxed the latest (updated 18 Aug 2013) build of HanDuet's sub project with Harmy's original "Sources" documentary using mkvmerge v6.2.0 (for MacOS X).  The ONLY changes that I made to the default mkvmerge settings were the following:

1) changed the "Sources-Doc-New.mkv" audio track "Language" setting to "eng (English)"

2) added a "Track name" (reflective of external sub file name), selected the corresponding "Language" setting, changed "Default track flag" setting to "no" (and "Charset" left at "Default" setting) for EACH sub file

3) adjusted the "Tracks, chapters and tags" order slightly to reflect standard industry conventions

I have Harmy's releases and love them. What is the difference between these and the Team Blu releases?

BOTH Harmy's Despecialized Edition releases and the Team Blu releases are driving at the same thing:  Providing the closest and BEST quality theatrical version experience of the OOT (Original Original Trilogy).

The primary difference is in their methodology:

Harmy's DE version draws upon a wide variety of multiple sources.  An upside to this approach is his ability to draw from the BEST source(s) available for any given scene, BUT while damn close, the resulting product is NOT a 100% exact OOT experience.  (See Harmy's brief "Sources" documentary available HERE for more on this.)

Team Blu's OOT releases are 100% sourced from the 2006 GOUT bonus discs, the result is a 100% exact OOT version, lovingly and masterfully color corrected and with amazing results…but the GOUT source is very much substandard and despite Team Blu's best efforts, there is only so much magic that can be produced using GOUT exclusively for their video.  (See THIS POST and a few posts beyond it for a little more detail.)

There are other similar projects, but these are two of the most prominent recent efforts…and (IMHO) they are both "must have" preservations! ;)

@deho:  Specifically, I had 100% verified display issues with johnlocke2342's "Sources-Doc_French_edit3.srt" using the default Charset value in Mkvtoolnix 6.2.0 for Mac (and needed to select ISO 8859-1 instead to properly display special French characters).  While I did test and attempt to verify all the language tracks in the two fully muxed products that I earlier ULed, my lack of familiarity and fluency combined with clearly visible issues with the French subs (which otherwise displayed fine as external subs in VLC) lead to my lack of confidence in an otherwise stellar Mkvtoolnix application.  I am not sure if this is a bug that I should report in the application, or if there is some other reason for the issue I experienced (at least) with muxing edit3 of the French subs.

@HanDuet and deho:  Yeah, I agree…waiting for Harmy's imminent v2.5 release on Blu-ray for a revised stand-alone muxed "Sources" documentary video (using whatever "finalized" subs are available at that point) is the best course of action.  Until then, HanDuet's established EXTERNAL subs release strategy looks like a clear winner to me! ;)

I am concerned at whether or not my effort at contributing to the "Sources" documentary sub-project is of legitimate value.  Yes, there is some desirability to having a neatly packaged single .mkv file with neatly labeled and current subs (sourced from the collaborative efforts of HanDuet and several others in their "Sources Documentary - Current .srt Subtitle List"), but…

My concerns here are primarily two fold:

1) As HanDuet indicated, the "Sources Documentary - Current .srt Subtitle List" is a moving target currently receiving contributions and feedback that (hopefully) will result in a more refined and broad final product that Harmy could then mux into his "Sources" documentary clip for the v2.5 Blu-ray release.

2) I have personally experienced issues using the default Charset values when muxing in Mkvtoolnix…so, I am concerned at the potential for a muxed language sub track displaying garbage characters NOT present in the original .srt file.  [This may or may not be the case with German subs issues earlier indicated by Laserschwert and deho, but from a troubleshooting standpoint…it just makes sense to systematically identify and isolate potential causes.]

The small, independent structure of using and testing the EXTERNAL .srt's (as maintained by HanDuet) until such time as their inclusion in v2.5 makes perfect sense to me…and while well intended, I don't think there's any inherent value in further maintaining a parallel muxed version (and at 700mb a download), AT LEAST until the v2.5 release.  IF Harmy doesn't release a stand-alone muxed "Sources" documentary (to compliment the DVD9 or .mkv format release of v2.5), then I think that might be the good time to re-visit a stand-alone muxed version release of "Sources" to include the fruits of HanDuet's sub-project efforts at that point.

For anyone less familiar with how to use EXTERNAL subs, all you need is your video source (for which I have provided unaltered, full-resolution mirrors of Harmy's "Sources" documentary HERE)…rename your desired sub file (see HanDuet's updated posts for the latest) to be the SAME as the video source (before the dot extension part) and make sure that it's located in the SAME folder/directory as the video source…then simply open the video source using VLC (or similar).

Kind regards,

Here's a single link (mirrors welcomed) for Harmy's "Sources" Documentary at FULL RESOLUTION muxed with ALL of HanDuet's August 11, 2013 updated subs (available individually HERE):

-> http://www.gigasize.com/get/coq5om5l8ob

I used mkvmerge to assemble the above muxed version and briefly tested EACH track using VLC 2.0.7 in MacOS 10.6.8…and everything appears to work A OK to me (but, I only speak English and bad English, so I would welcome and appreciate any additional verification provided).

Enjoy!

-A.S.

p.s.

@angryboy & johnlocke2342:  The original "Sources" Documentary (and my recently ULed muxed versions with HanDuet's updated subs) comes in a .mkv format and NOT a m2ts filetype.  While I am not a French speaker, the latest French edit 3 version appears to playback just fine as either a .mkv with the external .srt file AND in my muxed shares using VLC 2.0.7 under MacOS 10.6.8 ("Snow Leopard").

Updated list of .srt subtitle files for the Sources Documentary.

French subtitles updated to fix formatting glitch.

Spanish subtitles added!

GREAT job (and BIG thanks to all those that contributed)!

A while back I had offered to re-compile the orig video with the combined subs (once we got at least English, French, and Spanish)…but in light of the imminent v2.5 release within the next couple/few weeks, it makes more sense to me to just leave this one to Harmy to incorporate as he will on the v2.5 Blu-ray.

If anyone is chompin at the bit for this in a quicker timeline (…or, perhaps you're only planning to DL the standalone .mkv release of v2.5), let me know.  I'm glad to compile and UL, the only question for me is:  Would doing so (in addition to Harmy's v2.5 Blu-ray release) be desired?

In any case, thank again to all involve with this little project!  I absolutely love the GREAT collaborative spirit exemplified in this and other projects found here in this forum! :D

UPDATE:

Well, all that being said…I decided to deprive myself of some sleep and fiddle around with this anyway.  After sorting-out some issues with charset values in mkvmerge, I arrived at the following neat, tidy, labeled bundle which incorporates ALL of HanDuet's August 10, 2013 updated subs (available individually HERE, just above this post).

IF you would like to have a look, here are a few links for Harmy's "Sources" Documentary at FULL RESOLUTION with the above muxed subtitles:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IF we drop ALL foreign language audio tracks (while, of course, retaining all the latest/greatest foreign subs from Project Threepio), BUT make v2.5 compatible foreign language audio tracks (supposedly those included in v2.0 would do the trick unless there has been any runtime adjustment to the v2.5 video) available along side the BD25 English audio only v2.5 release (as either an audio only à la carte option OR as part of a trimmed down English, multilingual audio alternate version)…

…update the v2.1 English audio tracks to include *BOTH* DTS-HD MA and TrueHD versions of hairy_hen's much anticipated NEW audio set in v2.5 IF that's not going to be a considerable PITA for either hairy_hen (in encoding the tracks) or Harmy (in mastering the Blu-ray), AND perhaps that may even make sufficient room for Star Wars DE v2.5 video at a same or higher bit-rate (compared to v2.0) while still maintaining a BD25 size?

Unfortunately, like most here I'm going to be pretty limited in the DOING it end of thigns…but from a "what's going to make for the BEST quality, most compatible final release", conceptually I thought that this idea might fit the bill?

The thing that I and most here should be able to do is help keep this final v2.5 product alive and well on MySpleen (and perhaps other locations) for several months and years to come…and keeping the BD25 size without compromising on quality and compatibility (and hopefully with even a couple/few bonus features sprinkled in) would make that task significantly more feasible and sustainable!

THANK YOU Harmy, hairy_hen, dark_jedi, You_Too, CatBus, and ALL OTHERS that have contributed to this amazing preservation project! :D

Like everyone here, I am totally and completely stoked at hearing news of v2.5's imminent release:

Harmy said:

OK, so it is rendered. Now how should I approach this? Release the mkv with just the basic AC3 '77 mixes and let everyone mux in other tracks themselves or wait for the lossless and newly encoded tracks to become available?

I am NOT trying to potentially add to any significant further delay or increase the workload of our absolutely first-rate restoration team, but I was curious as to if the English, German, and French featurette subtitles have been added?  Also, was there ever a Spanish or other language translations completed?

Harmy said:

As to adding subtitles - it would be good to have subtitles in different languages for it for the BD as well, so if you guys do make subs for this, it would be great, if you could send them to me :-)

HanDuet said:

Airwave said:

My pleasure. Thanks for doing the subtitles. I decided to do another read of your updated version to see if I missed something while reading it the first time. I have two small corrections. At the start, in "[ Introducing The Sources ]", "the" and "sources" should not be capitalized (alternatively, capitalize the whole thing). Also, "X-wing" is spelled with a lowercase w.

In addition, this time I decided to check that all references to users on this forum and their projects were spelled and capitalized the way they do it themselves. I have the following corrections to usernames and project names:
Dark Jedi -> dark_jedi
Team Negative One -> team negative1
Puggo Grande -> Puggo GRANDE

This is the way they themselves spell it, so I figured we should respect that.

I have made all of your recommended changes with a few exceptions.

First, I view the "Introducing" line as somewhat of a subtitle for the video, so "Introducing the sources" looks wrong to me. Alternatively, "INTRODUCING THE SOURCES" might be read as shouting. Instead, I've changed it to "Introducing the Sources", which matches the capitalization format in the German and French subtitles provided here.

Second, I wrote "Team Negative1" they way they signed their recent post in this thread.

team_negative1 said:

You can capitalize both the names or leave as is, whichever is easier. Thanks.

Team Negative1

I'm pretty confident in saying that no one around here is interested in the "easiest" option. If we liked easy, we'd just accept that the original version of Star Wars was lost a long, long time ago.  ;)

Let us know if you'd like your group name written in any different way.

Additionally, I have made these same edits in the German and French subtitles that were provided to me by GeorgeKaplan1959 and johnlocke2342, respectively, since they're mostly concerned with proper names that were rightfully not translated.

Here are my edited versions of all three .srt files (English, German, & French):

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108143349/Sources-Doc_English_edit2.srt

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108143349/Sources-Doc_German_edit2.srt

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/108143349/Sources-Doc_French_edit1.srt

For those who are able and willing, additional proof-checking any any of these subtitles is always appreciated. And as always, the latest versions of any subtitles I receive will be uploaded to play alongside the video on YouTube, available at the link below:

http://youtu.be/dHfLX_TMduY

Along with Harmy, of course hairy_hen is busy at in an effort to complete a highly anticipated NEW set of audio tracks for the v2.5 release:

hairy_hen said:

It will only take me a couple days to completely finish with all the new audio tracks, if that factors into it . . .

As a complete list, this would include the 70mm version newly upmixed with Prologic II, the digital copy of the stereo mix with the dropout errors removed, the mono mix with the proper fanfare at the beginning rather than the CD copy it curently has, and as a bonus my isolated score.

I haven't decided for sure, but at the moment I'm leaning towards encoding them as DTS-HD MA rather than TrueHD, since while Dolby files seem to have greater playback compatibility, they are apparently more complicated to use correctly in Bluray authoring.  But I think this should be investigated more thoroughly before I make a final decision on the matter.

I know there was a lot of support a couple months ago behind an audio restoration equivalent featurette by hairy_hen…again, I was just curious if it is completed, still potentially in the works, or side-bared for now?

hairy_hen said:

Moth3r said:

Excellent feature Harmy, really good to highlight all the problems with the official releases.

Would be nice to see Hairy Hen do something about the restoration of the 70mm mix.

Also, does everyone pronounce AVISynth as "avvysynth" or is it just you? ;-)

It is indeed an excellent video, and a great way to show the uninitiated what some of the problems are, and what a gargantuan task it was fix them by combining all those different sources together.

If there is interest in something similar for the audio side of things, I'll see what I can come up with.

MANY thanks to the ALL the good folks that have contributed to this absolutely amazing project!  Again, my interest in asking about the above is NOT in an effort to significantly increase either Harmy or hairy_hen's already full plates OR to unnecessarily delay this project…but if waiting a short while longer would make for a BETTER overall project, I for one would gladly do so!

dark_jedi, I'd rather use Uploaded.net to download these projects instead of torrenting. If we're using a Premium account there, might as well have people use the full version of Download Accelerator Plus and each Blu-ray Project as ISO. For Uploaded.net/.whichever, might as well have the .rar parts as 1.50GB chunks instead of 400MB.

@FremenDar007:  While I don't know that there is any one, single BEST option when considering the sharing of multiple 25-50GB projects, my personal leaning are ALWAYS going to be in favor of a *FREE* (or donation supported) service such as MySpleen vs a PAID file hosting service such as upload.net, here are a few of the reasons:

1) Cost.

uploaded.net (like MOST file hosting services) offers a variety of "Premium" service payment options…including $6.99 for 48 hours, $13.99 for 1 month, $92.99 for 1 year, among others.  To access premium services, not only does this cost me money…but requires credit card payment (which opens one up to potential misuse AND completely removes the possibility of anonymity when DLing legally grey to black materials.)

Although it is a private (invite-only) torrent site, MySpleen does NOT require any payment to use their service.  (Yes, MySpleen does allow for and rely upon donations…but donations are OPTIONAL and a person could easily maintain good standing by keeping their share ratios high…a positive incentive that helps promote further increase sharing of bandwidth and torrent longevity).

2) Speed and Longevity.

Yes, uploaded.net (like MOST dedicated file hosts) does offer "Free" services, but a capped bandwidth of 50 KB/s (Guest) or 70 KB/s (Free-Registered), with no simultaneous downloads, and one file every 180 minutes download restriction…it would literally take a FREE user of uploaded.net a minimum of TWO WEEKS (including in excess of 30 separate visits) to DL a 50GB file partitioned into 1.5GB segments.  Additionally, uploaded files will be deleted after 30 consecutive days of inactivity…not to mention that similar services have come under increasing fire from the US and other government agencies with whole hosting services being brought down (along with the files and potentially users associated with them).

Torrent options, including MySpleen can vary widely (but, on the plus side…with a solid connection and with strong seeding in place, I was able to DL this current CTB82USTC_TB torrent in roughly 3 1/2 hours during its opening weekend…under other circumstances, one could probably expect it to take a couple/few days).  There is no set lifespan of a torrent, it will remain both strong and alive so long as end users support it…with larger sized 25-50 GB shares, this would likely adversely impact many users ability to continuously seed for months on end, but there is no set lifespan.

3) Community.

There is NO uploaded.net community.  It is a paid service geared toward making it's FREE use so prohibitive that FREE users will turn into PAID users out of frustration.  Those that will actively promote the use of uploaded.net, rapidshare.com, and the MANY similar services nearly always have a vested interest (they paid for the service themselves and therefore they want to get good value by bringing others to that same service) in the expanded use of that service.  Basically, it's a technologically based pyramid scheme.

Largely comprised of originaltrilogy.com forum members, MySpleen can loosely be viewed as an extension of this forum's user base.

Kind reagards,

OK then-

So, here's an EARLY prototype (based upon released "Star Wars Original Trilogy Theatrical Edition Blu-ray Set V2(BD25)" specs, dark_jedi's "SWV3DVD.nfo" and several others' .nfo files, and using a slightly scaled down ASCII art design from that shown in my post directly above this one).

There are SEVERAL missing specs and updates that would need to be made.  Certainly, Team Blu contact info, and various other fields could easily be added, removed, or rearranged.  While additional decorative ASCII could be added to this file (with some trade-off in terms of ease-of-use), my effort in this early version was primarily to get feedback and thereby a better gauge of desired content and structure.

Here's a link (the numbers along the side are simply a line reference and do NOT appear in the .nfo file itself)…

@dark_jedi:  Sorry for not moving forward sooner (today was our newly designated "family day", and that explicitly means NO COMPUTER TIME for daddy.)

Moving forward, satanika's ANSI logo looks just fine if you decide to go with ANSI…but in terms of "a little cleaner" and generally more legible, here's an inverse ASCII that I would submit for your consideration:

…and I'll have a simple/clean and easily modified .nfo template ready and available by morning.

I am totally good with whatever direction is deemed best in the end, but it's not going to settle with me if I don't take just a little more time and provide a viable option that's at least worthy of consideration.

All the best!

With NFO files, you should make use of the code page 437 character set, which gives you some extra graphical characters not available with ASCII.

Personally, I prefer the ASCII model…aesthetically I think it looks cleaner and less "industrial" for lack of a better word (just my $0.02).

I, of course, leave it to Team Blu and originaltrillogy forum members.  IF an ASCII model is desired, I'd be happy to lend a little effort to its design. ;)

That's actually really good!

Right on.  (Obviously dark_jedi did 95% of the work while I just switched around the elements a little.)

I like the color scheme, the elements, and basic arrangement myself.  I think this is a logo that draws inspiration from the TMed logo, but also clearly differentiated enough as to help safe guard Team Blu from "Team Infringement".

p.s.  Here's a slimmer model (I can picture this, or similar set on a white background on-screen…or just stick with dark_jedi's original full screen blue background with only the white lettering:

…and here's a look at some ASCII of the same (this looks SUPER crappy here in the OT forum as there is no available [code] tag).  To get a real look at this, copy/paste the below text into a PLAIN TEXT editor:

Info: Team Blu needs your help!

I'm confident that I could put together a viable ASCII-rich .nfo draft or two here in the next couple/few days…I'll post my progress as it comes.

Maybe some more talented video/graphics designer will take up the mantle on the short video clip?  I have a couple ideas that might look pretty spiffy, but we'll see where we're at as project .nfo approaches readiness.

All the best! ;)

I'm no expert here, but if no one else beats me to it…I may have a go at either/or of these branding projects.  A quick Google search revealed SEVERAL text and image to ascii art generators, here's a nice large sampling that I liked:

-> http://patorjk.com/software/taag/#p=testall&f=Graffiti&t=Team%20Blu

…and maybe the top part could read something like:

Another *QUALITY* release by:

Team Blu (in ascii art)

…then followed by specs and details of the specific release, and such.

Any preferences?

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

I unfortunately have no invites to send myself, however, I can clarify that NONE of the three versions of Harmy's Despecialized Star Wars currently found on TBP is the latest v2.1 (while the ESB and ROTJ available there are both current at v1.0)…

…the dates are WRONG for that to be possible (v2.1 was released on 03.14.2013 and all currently existing Despecialized torrents on TPB pre-date that).  I'm sure that some kind soul will come through with your invite to MySpleen in short order, however, originaltrilogy.com forum members are nothing if not SUPER accommodating and helpful! ;)

p.s.  Just for a point of reference, Harmy's original v2.1 release announcement may be found here:

Yeah, we all have pretty much the same goal, we just approach it differently but it's good because the more versions the better. I'm especially looking forward to the 35mm versions too.

Agreed!  I am totally good with having a personal library that includes a half-dozen, or so, varying treatments all striving toward the best possible preservation of the OOT in all it's unaltered theatrical (or as close there to as humanly possible) glory! ;)

p.s.  Perhaps someday I'll be able to walk into a store and buy Disney's excellent treatment of the same using a superior original source and methods (even then, I'm keeping these select best of class "fan" efforts)…but until that day (even if that day ever comes) THANK YOU originaltrilogy.com userbase for making freely available what G.L.'s overinflated ego would forever deny us! :D
