Which line is that from?

The original line says “Captain, you and I will deal with them…personally” from the LEGO Force Awakens game.

And Knight of Kalee, I like the idea of demoting Hux, but I don’t thing that first run quite works for me, unfortunately. Is there a recording of Kylo saying “Captain” kind of mockingly? Like, “I sense unease about my appearance, Captain?” We know who Hux is, so when Kylo calls him “Captain” and Hux responds, I think we can put it together (without saying “Captain Hux”).

My thoughts were keeping this audio (since it was the clearer “Captain” pronunciation among Kylo’s LEGO voice lines), but having more of a seconds-long pause before he says Captain: "I sense unease about my appearance…“Captain” Hux? This way it may come across more mockingly or spiteful. Since Kylo is masked the Captain Hux part could be pushed later without issue.

Oh, yeah, I think that would work too. Like Dom said, if you’re just able to clean up the line a little more, it’ll be great!

Nice! I may tinker with it a little more then

Regarding a possible Plo Koon voice, I managed to put my hands on a lot of good quality lines from the old Clone Wars Adventures game. There is a line from Plo which says “You’ve shown great valor as a Jedi Knight”; it could fit both the themes of the scene and Rey’s personal arc.

This was a really quick, dirty edit, but I messed around with Captain Hux line and came up with this.

https://streamable.com/6vgv5d

The line is in every channel, with different levels of reverb, so I tried to duplicate that effect with the Captain line, and then cheated with the music a little. I just did it quick but I bet you could sell it even more with a better line read and cleaner audio editing.

Going to sleep for now, but I’ll have something else to share with y’all tomorrow…

I may personally vote to cut it down to just “You’ve shown great valor,” because most of the other Jedi are telling her what it means to be a Jedi, without calling her a Jedi outright. But yeah, that would work nicely!

Speaking of being a Jedi, I’ve tried doing a little more work on that climatic line. It may be better, may be worse, maybe it will sound the same as the other tests. I don’t know anymore! I used Sade’s edit to the Palpatine’s dialogue, and I also fiddled with the “[And] I’m” cut a little more (in addition to the “am a Jedi” bit).

https://streamable.com/wf046s

Also, just thinking generally about Palpatine’s lines… Rey could technically respond to either “You are nothing” or “A scavenger girl…”. So basically, the only order that doesn’t work for his lines is the one they went with in the official cut. Sigh…

Hmm…does this have anything to do with some form of entertainment on Pasaana, perhaps?

Here’s the current dialogue of the Jedi Voices. I hadn’t realised there’s actually a very nice trajectory and build up over the course of the dialogue; it’s not just random snippets of generic encouragement. I’ve tried to keep that same flow, and added my own suggested lines in bold:

OBI-WAN: These are your final steps, Rey. Rise and take them.

ANAKIN: Rey.

AHSOKA: Rey.

KANAN: Rey.

ANAKIN: Bring back the balance, Rey, as I did.

LUMINARA: In the night, find the light, Rey.

MACE: You’re not alone, Rey.

YODA: Alone, never have you been.

QUI-GON: Every Jedi who ever lived lives in you.

SORS: We are all one through the Force, Rey.

ANAKIN: The Force surrounds you, Rey.

AAYLA: Let it guide you.

AHSOKA: As it guided us.

MACE: Feel the Force flowing through you, Rey.

ANAKIN: Let it lift you.

SORS: As it carries us.

ADI: Rise, Rey.

QUI-GON: We stand behind you, Rey.

OBI-WAN: Rey.

YODA: Rise in the Force.

KANAN: In the heart of a Jedi lies her strength.

OBI-WAN: Rise.

QUI-GON: Rise.

LUKE: Rey, the Force will be with you.

LEIA: Always.

Haphazard answers:

I’ll use jonh’s updated ghost scene once he provides it. (Just the version with the four ghosts.)

I do like the ‘Captain Hux’ idea, so I’ll use it if the audio side of things pans out. Not a big deal either way, though.

And Faraday, those are excellent lines for him!

I think it would be odd for a mere captain to be at the board meeting, seated right across from an allegiant general. And I think Hux has plenty of motivation from 7 and 8 to hate Kylo (not that he even liked him in the first place).

I had this thought as well. The board meeting is supposed to be comprised of executive officers. But I suppose Hux could be forced to tag along on these meetings. As in, he’s a captain in name only.

Hello, unfortunately the VFX shots won’t be finished for a long time as have I more obligations and stuff in my personal life, so I guess we should move that to a V3 of TROS:A.

Each time you do this, I think it sounds even better and better!

However, regarding your second part, I have to push back a bit. I may be the only person who feels this way but I think out of the two, “You are nothing” fits better as the final line right before “I am a Jedi” instead of “A scavenger girl”.

How I infer it, the scavenger girl line makes her response sound more like a “… Hey, wait a minute! No, I’m a Jedi. You can’t say that!”. Meanwhile, the nothing line helps to make her Jedi line feel way more triumphant as a retort. “You are nothing!” “[No], I am a Jedi!”

IDK, I might just be bugging about this.

He definitely doesn’t have to, but I would be more interested in seeing his TIE fighters placed onto the new Mustafar biomes footage.

Awesome, thank you!

For me personally, I think the most logical order would be, “A scavenger girl is no match for the power in me. I am all the Sith; you are nothing.” “I am a Jedi.” However, I think the longer pause before Rey responds flows better dramatically, so that’s why I voted against moving the “You are nothing” line into that pause. It just feels a little rushed at that point, imo. It’s all super subjective.

I was just pointing out that “A scavenger girl is no match for the power in me.” “I am a Jedi” also works structurally as a back-and-forth; so at that point, I think I’d go with the version that’s paced better.

It’s just personally preference; but I’m pretty sure the version I included here is the one Hal said he likes the best. (Hal, correct me if I’m wrong.)

Yeah, this is closer to how I originally pictured it in my mind! The delayed “Captain Hux” works better as a stealth roast, especially with the following reaction shot of the FO officers.

In my headcanon it wouldn’t be out of place for Hux to remain in the executive council despite his demotion, owing to him being a member of the FO aristocracy.

And so hyped to see how the Pasaana function turns out!

To me the Captain Hux sounds very very off at the moment. I like the idea, but it sounds obviously cut in to me, and sounds like Gaptain not Captain for some reason.

Hehe. Unfortunately (for fanediting purposes), I am currently adjusting to becoming a for real poppa.

I basically have just enough time to follow along reading this thread between efforts to coax the newborn to sleep.

I do love all of the ideas and tweaks being played around with here. V2 will be astonishing achievement for the community, I think.

I haven’t actually seen the new biomes shots. Was there one in particular that looked like a good match?

Yeah, pretty much the whole thing on Mustafar was good lol. It’s all Vader’s castle, so it would lead right into the forest shot you created.

Hey everyone, i’m a little off the forum those last months, things are pretty hard here were i live (Brazil lol), but i’m trying to keep my head on my shoulders.
So, how’s the project going? V2 is close? I saw some nice things here and there, very nice!
I was thinking again on how this project is a big thing, and how this community is a wonderful place, very beautiful what happens here in the forum, not only this page, it brings joy to my heart in these dark times. I’m very grateful for all of this, this is a Fandom at it’s finest.
Anyway, i hope everyone is fine, taking care and doing well 😃

I’ve uploaded the various materials for my “I’m a Jedi” Palpatine line switch stuff on Mega, here. There’s two full lossless .mp4 versions of the clip, one with words, and one without (done by mixing the left and right channels to create a clean centre channel), with 5.1 AAC audio. The shorter .mp4 is the edited Palpatine shot I made in both Ascendant (purple) and Theatrical (blue) flavours. The .mp3 contains the various isolated voice clips - both the original lines and my edited versions - so you can combine them with the wordless file in whatever configuration you desire. It’s in mono; they go in the centre channel. Hopefully this is useful to someone even if HAL doesn’t go down this route. Let me know if I forgot anything.

Congratulations! It’s an amazing feeling, but yes, a time consuming one lol. All of my fanediting since joining this forum has been done while bouncing a baby on my knee, but at least she’s always an appreciative audience.

Was rewatching Revenge Of The Sith for the first time in a long time, could be interesting if we heard Palpatine’s echoey Sith scream while he’s being disintegrated & defeated by Rey or should I say ‘all the jedi’. The sound is played a few times in the clone wars / prequel era.

Concept test: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/501825149469851659/845818575834841108/Sith_scream_subtle.mp4

The sound almost adds this feeling that his spirit is being destroyed / suffering.
