There isn’t a thread about those anymore, however you can still see the compilations of all the leaked clips on YouTube pretty easily. Last time I checked, simply searching “Star Wars Restoration Leak” will not only autofill that phrase, but return 3 different channels at minimum, on top of other channels/videos simply talking about the restoration, but prominently using clips in their video.
Up until now most questions/answers regarding that one thread being deleted and/or hidden away for whatever reason have been, themselves, deleted, but I think it makes more sense to simply have a post that can be referenced stating straight out that the thread is gone (apparently due to “legal requests from the rights holders” I guess), but if you want to look at that stuff still, before the official release in about 9 months or so, it’s available on YouTube (and Reddit, I’d imagine)

Anything’s possible at this point, who knows maybe the original version of TPM’ll get released, or if we’re lucky the 97 SE’ll get restored and released.

Just checked. Yes, all the non-Mando stuff is from the UHD releases of those films. Damn, I wish Disney would slip up and let some stuff in through officially…

A company can’t sue you for talking about something unless you signed an NDA with them.
Discussing leaks is 100% protected under free speech, posting videos and images of copyrighted material is not, but discussing it is very much fair game.
All of r/StarWarsLeaks on Reddit would be shut down if discussing leaks was illegal lol

Assuming the site received a cease and desist letter, that’s just a threat, it’s not a lawsuit or legal demand.
They can ask you to stop talking about it, but that’s not legally enforceable, since that’s free speech.
I could get a lawyer to send you a letter demanding you stop insulting me on the internet, but that’s not legally enforceable, since that’s free speech. It’s just a request.
Their real issue is the posting of the leaked images and video clips, since that’s a copyright violation. Just like if I posted a link to download the entire movie for free here, they’d want that link taken down.

As a few of you good people have noticed… the ‘⭐ Star Wars’ 50th anniversary in 2027 ⭐ | Your hopes and expectations’ thread has been removed. This is a temporary measure and the thread will return sometime in the near future.
This temporary thread removal was reluctantly done with the best interests of this community at heart.
As others have recently stated… it would be best not to discuss the restoration leaks on here at this time - as frustrating as that may be.
Let’s get back on topic and talking about the theatrical re-release itself (and hopefully more news on the yearlong 50th anniversary celebration.
