Is it still up in the air if Adywan will make burnable Blu-Ray files for Revisited, or at least have uncompressed video files of the movies that can be burned onto blank Blu-Rays?

He confirmed the latter. He’s unable to format BD menus correctly anymore, which is why he’s leaving it up to the watcher to do so.

It’s like poetry, they rhyme. Luke in ANH, Obi-Wan in TPM, Vader in ROTS, Vader in ROTJ,

Just checking in. Wish Ady could post a little more often, especially since we know he has had health issues over the years (was happy to hear him having a good experience with the NHS, though that was a while ago…), but I guess it has always been this way, and when he does post, it feels special. I always appreciate his big mega posts.

Should adywan abandon these revisited edits given that he seems to have ongoing chronic health problems these last few years? His health is not worth the physical and mental exertion required to finish these.
It sucks on a selfish level, but not if it puts your health in danger.

For god’s sake, the guy goes quiet for two days, and everyone acts like the guy is on his damn deathbed. Cut the guy some slack and let him come to his own decisions, please.

I don’t think Abe was trying to “force him” to do anything, or prevent him from making his own decisions.
It’s also an honest question that comes from a pretty honest place, especially taking into account the fact this thing is creeping up on 10 years in the making.
It’s a Special Edition fan-edit that is clearly, observably taking a huge toll on the person making it. It’s not disrespectful to ask if maybe the juice isn’t worth the squeeze after all this time. Star Wars Revisited came out almost 20 years ago now. It’s a very long time to be this stressed/burdened/financially strapped, all for the sake of making freely-available fanedits for a couple thousand people.
There’s nothing wrong with putting that question out there. It’s not rude or mean-spirited, I don’t think. People love star wars, they love fanedits, but I think this question is worth asking after two decades of trying to make a better Special Edition of the Star Wars Trilogy.

I’m fairly certain some of the people in this thread weren’t born when this whole project started. LOL
Adywan knows what he’s doing and knows his limits. This is a passion project of his, and he’ll be done when he’s done. He’s already inspired loads of fan editors, but we’re all still eager to see the completion of his vision. We’ll get it when we get it. We don’t need to question him or beg for updates.
