In general, simply sending a PM is the default way of asking for fan projects on here (unless indicated / instructed otherwise in the project thread)…

Hopefully the project threads will soon get back to being discussions about the actual projects themselves - queries, feedback, reviews, exchange of ideas, suggestions for future versions etc - and not be full of endless & unnecessary ‘link request’ posts.

Hi!

I vaugly remember an extended scene in Chamber where petunia was boiling dudleys uniform, but didn’t see that mentioned in your list of edits, is that because that was already considered part since it was in the official extended edition? Or for another reason?

Also wondering, for PS, how did you deal with Sorcerer vs Philosipher? The completionist in me would want to create both.

That scene you mentioned is from Philosopher’s Stone, not Chamber of Secrets. I chose the Philosopher’s Stone title since it was the original from the U.K., plus most regions around the world use that title. I’m actually from the U.S., which is the only country to my recollection that uses the Sorcerer’s Stone title, since Scholastic, who published the Harry Potter books in America felt that kids wouldn’t associate the word “philosopher” with magic.

That makes sense. Regardless of the choice of title, the scenes are slightly different, It felt very strange when I heard the Harry say “We know about the sorcerers stone” when a friend was streaming it. The reason I asked is because I believe the ‘extended’ cuts were mostly released in the USA along with the ‘Sorcerers Stone’ version, where outside of the US, they mostly only included the theatrical cuts. Thus I would assume the only way to have an extended edition with the ‘philosopher’ wording would be through a fan edit.

Im guessing when you said “Added the scene of Dudley having pictures taken in his Smeltings uniform.” that is inclusive of that scene I was thinking of?

Would you ever consider using BluRay 4k to make the edits. I believe it is possible to get the bonus scenes on bluray 4k. Though Id imagine this would be a pretty big task.

I’m planning on using the 4K remaster for the first two films for V5, since they are true 4K transfers. The rest of the films are unfortunately upscales, which I don’t understand, given all eight films were shot on 35mm. Perhaps it’s due to the digital effects being rendered in 2K (1080p).
