I love watching your VFX breakdowns and I’m excited to see the saber building shot when it’s rendered.
I’ve been wondering for a while how difficult it would be to remove the little triangles that sproing up when the saber’s activated? It seems to be only me that dislikes them so intensely, but they annoy the hell of me design-wise.

I would say: add as many ideas as you like as long it fits 1. this movie and 2. the overall plot from the saga.

Covid has been a blessing and a nightmare all in one. It has allowed me to spend more time on this cut but it has limited the maximum creativity I wanted to put into filming new scenes. I’m so glad I found a company that produces such great props so this shot should come out great…

What is your process for when you’re going to shoot the props? have you kind of mapped a story board or do you know in your head exactly what you want?
I know in my head but I’ve trying to wait for the natural lighting to match. I may have to wait until autumn but it’s the UK so anything is possible.

Hey MR, I watched your “VFX Scenes Walkthrough for The Rise of Skywalker” - YT video. That shot of Kylo Ren on the bridge watching the rising Coruscant out of the window looks amazing! I would be interested to read what technique you used to get that lighting effect on the floor since I’m trying to do something similar.

Been reading this thread, sounds very interesting. I have two questions.
1.) You mentioned that Luke lives after TLJ. So did you do a TLJ edit? (I really loved TLJ, although I would do a few edits to that myself.) If you did, how much editing did you do?
2.) Does Ben live in this edit? It sorta sounds like he does, but I can’t really tell for sure.
I’ve done edits of TFA, TLJ & Solo but those were years ago and only in 720p and stereo. I’ve learnt so much since then so redoing them all after this project.
I’ve deliberately not added anymore changes inc the ending as people requested no more spoilers for this cut.
