My Vision For A “Snyder-Cut”-esque Star Wars Edit

The basic concept would require getting ahold of IMAX copies of the Sequel Trilogy.

There’s a lot of deleted and unreleased content, as well as fan scenes, such as SiezeTheFrame’s Kylo Ren vs Vader, that I feel would add lots of neat context to a cut of all 3 films.

I would also want to get rid of a lot of the canto bight scene. It is ultimately unneccessary in the grand scheme of things, and the only part that really needs to be kept is the jailbreak scene where they meet up with DJ.

I would really like to try working on this concept, so if someone could help me figure out how to get ahold of the IMAX cuts, I would really appreciate the help!

Was the frame shot wider for Imax, or did they just crop the anamorphic 2.39:1? In that case, if you’re just after the aesthetic, you could potentially just take the 4k releases and crop them to 4:3 aspect ratio.

I believe that the only truly IMAX scene in the Sequel Trilogy was the Falcon Jakku dogfight from TFA.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
