It's always possible to reconstruct a trailer using higher quality sources whenever possible, like for example HDTV and Blu-ray for video, and Cinema DTS for audio.

Although ld-decode job is great, X0 capture is incredibly good! I can't remember which capture card was used for the X0 project, so I'm curious to know if someone else can...
I wonder if, using a better LD player for the ld-decode, quality will increase - I think so, but I'm not ready to mod my MUSE player!!!

There are three possibilities:
I'd try to calibrate the display first - even if it's not perfect, better "a bit" optimized than totally unoptimized; then, I'd go here to make the color vision test... after that, if you have made a good optimization, and get a good score at the test, maybe it's just "that much difference" is not enough for your taste! (^^,)
Luckily I scored 0 = perfect color vision, and also with my old pseudo-optimized-by-naked-eye display, differences are pretty noticeable!
UPDATE: added some WOWOW info - don't know how much useful this can be, though... any Japanese speaker here that would like to perform an accurate search to see if these files are available anywhere?!?

I can say that analog LD tracks often are wonderful... Japanese studios chose the analog tracks for the Japanese language instead PCM, so...
I'm greedy, I always request to retain the LD as a "gift" for the bit-perfect capture... (^^,)
