Pan & Scan O-OT Project (Released)
Time
The GKar and the TB Release (both are digital broascasts) are yours for the asking................

Have I let you down yet???

I am sorry to hear that others are not delivering. It is their loss!!!!!

ocpmovie i also did the se set

dark_jedi - is your SE transfer from the Widescreen or the Pan and Scan version?

As I have said previously, I would like a look at the O-OT Pan and Scan that you have done so far.

The same goes if your SE transfer is also the Pan and Scan version.

As Ocpmovie has already said, the digital video broadcasts of the SE in Widescreen have (so far) been of far better quality than any Laser Disc transfer.

STAR WARS: the alt.binaries.starwars thread
Time
Par2 files were posted and I used them to repair 4 damaged files.

In case you do not have the initial par2 file for the Moth3r TESB fileset, I have reposted this for you.

Download this, put it in the same folder as all the rar files, run QuickPar as per Moth3r's instructions and this will highlight just how many blocks short you are to complete the fileset.

You will then need some more of the larger par2 files to do the repair..........

BTW. Moth3r. this is an excellent transfer and I am so looking forward to seeing the trilogy completed.

The "9000" Saga Edit (outdated thread)
Time
I know there's a laserdisc transfer that has the shot of Qui Gon saying "The situation has become much more complicated" wipe to the shot of Panaka walking past Jar Jar and Anakin in the Senate building. And there's no way to properly recreate this with the raw material on the DVD alone.

If anyone can post a decent-looking video clip of these shots, I can properly remove the air taxi sequence. If not, no big deal, it'll just still be in my edit.
Thanks if you can help!

My apologies for getting here a bit late but I have just discovered that I have a DVB copy of TPM that has the scenes you were looking for. The "TB Release" was posted on a.b.sw a few weeks ago and it is recorded from European Canal +

Here is a quote from the maker.........

Back in december 2001, european Canal+ aired the Special Editions and Phantom Menace on digital satellite.

These are the 1997 / 1999 cinematic versions of the movies, broadcast in anamorphic 2.35:1 with 2.0 sound,

If anyone wants more info, drop me a line.........

Pan & Scan O-OT Project (Released)
Time
I'll admit I've got a jones to restore ESB and Jedi, hence this project, but I have no time to do so, so don't let that stop you! I'm working on my own films at the moment. Also, I don't have good copies of the ESB and ROTJ special editions yet ...

Have you checked out this thread.

The GKar release is pretty good as you know but the TB Release is equal to it and it is all in English too......

As usual, a few basic details can be found here.

I am sure that your usual sources would be able to get you these releases.

Where's the great Sky One documentry "Star Wars...Feel the Force"??

That's funny. I said exactly the same thing when I turned it off after 15 minutes. I thought it was very average but at the same time it was many times better than Generation Jedi!!!!.

Man i wished i taped that "Star Wars...Feel the Force doc it was great ( the best star wars tv doc, probably)

Ian McDiarmid made an appearance in the doc.....

That's like the holy grail of all Star Wars docs in history....that's like a once in the lifetime oppurtuinity.

Don't panic. I know for a fact that this was recorded straight onto DVD by at least two people and would expect to see it as a torrent or on a newsgroup eventually.

.: Moth3r's PAL DVD project :.
Time
I could torrent it. Fact is though, that my bandwidth isn't nearly enough to cover the demand. So, if there are people willing to help seeding, and with moth3r's permission of course, I could upload the torrent.

I am sure that a few people would be able to help out seeding if you torrent Moth3rs ANH PAL version. I seem to recall that when you did Deleted Magic, you were not on your own for long!!

Help Wanted: Upgrading from CD-to-DVD - Which preservation project version is best?
Time
The truth is that anyone who has either the TR47, Dr Gonzo, ISOMIX or EditDroid trilogies has a damn fine transfer and will have no complaints.

Some people prefer the Farsight version above all others.

The complaints only start if people invest a lot of money or time in the Quality Broth, Punk 13 or LOOK versions.

Currently, the Edit Droid version wins. However, it could be improved by being anamorphic like the Dr Gonzo version, by having the ISOMIX isolated score and by having the TR47 main soundtrack!!!!!!!!!

Does that make sense????

For those that cannot play PAL DVD's....
Time
The same rule applies over here in the UK. The cheaper the player, the better it is..........

I have yet to hear about a cheap supermarket DVD player that will not play all formats.

PAL and NTSC

+R, +RW, -R and -RW

All have multi-region hacks available after the quickest of searches on Google. Some even come region free straight out of the box!!!

Buy a big name brand and you can be in trouble.

DVD: Return of the Ewok and Other Little Films (Released)
Time
And when the heck is someone going to "aqquire" the Cantina skit Richard Pryor did on his short lived tv series?

I am sure that some kind soul round here could help you out with this request........

Anyway, "Return of the Ewok and Other Little Films." sounds like another winner from the creator of Deleted Magic. I cannot wait to see this along with all the extras.

Any news on the Star Wars Classic Edition???
