These discs should hopefully be a Zombie fan's wet-dream ! Lots of interesting stuff is cropping up - so by all means if you have anything to add please let us know.

I think we might need to go to klokwerk with our cap in hand to get a companion cover art to match the Dawn project !

Crazyrabbits - bizarrely when I was transferring a load of VHS to DVD recently I stumbled across a Cronenberg special that I videoed off the telly years ago - I had left the video running overnight and lo and behold the "Forbidden" Romero interview followed it - so I have a DVD of that already that I had totally forgotten about !

So that will make it onto one of the discs in one way, shape or form

Composite edit...

Hmmmmmmmm, will have to think about it - the whole life vs edits is beginning to get skewed in favour of the latter already !

Have mentioned this to DarthCarr already - potentially everything could fit on the same disc with luck, depending on the source files of the docs, since the commentaries are the rarity as opposed to the film, unless we go for an extra composite cut, the commentaries could run happily over a slideshow or somesuch...

May need some cover art klokwerk, so will keep in touch !

I'll happily take on the task, working around the Alien Appendix series.

Though I don't have a Laserdisc player - so if anyone can grab the commentary and send it through I'll get onto it.

I'll also add the UK Exclusive Tom Savini commentary from the first (cut) UK release, rejig the NTSC/PAL madness (since I'll obviously use an uncut NTSC version) and insert the necessary pauses to bring it back into synch.

Hey D_J,

We're there - I'm approaching 100% (got 99.9 which is quite common - no big deal) - I'll get the other .1% and we'll be laughing !

suntech - what client are you using, with Azureus this sometimes happens to me - actually remove the torrent from your client window (but elect to keep the files on your harddrive) - when you open the torrent again - the client should recognise the files - let me know if that works.

All DL peeps out there - see if you can lend a hand when you can, and thanks again D_J for getting this up again.

As soon as this is strongly seeded and we start getting other peeps completed I'll seed #1 again

Hey dark_jedi - apologies, only just got in and checked the board.

Now that makes sense why the file sizes are different, even with no compression DVDShrink has shrunk the file ever so slightly (we're talking small - but still a drop).

It's totally down to you what you'd like to do dark_jedi - all I know is that if you transfer the files by just copying them over, or using DVDDecrypter you'll have a lot of seeds who would be able to make up the shortfall very quickly of those who jumped on it straight away, since their files will be *exactly* the same as yours.

I've just tried the DVDShrink approach and for some reason Azureus isn't recognising the files.

Apologies for a bit of a non answer ! I guess I'd be happier knowing that everyone out there has the same disc (and that you aren't the sole seeder), though I don't want it to cause you any extra work/grief ! Just glad to see it out there

Glad the other discs were to your liking too - especially pleased that the working "other" disc was slightly more healthy than the last !

Thanks all for the feedback - so glad this seems to be an interesting curio for all to see, indeed there are a few sound cues that don't synch up 100% - that's just the way of the world !

Indeed - I'm having the same problem as suntech whereby the source files seem every so slightly different in size to the torrent file on myspleen - as a result the final torrent is reporting error sizes. Bugger ! I can jump on the leeching if necessary d_j to help out when I have the completed file, or maybe post the 4.3GB version on demonoid instead as an alternative - let me know !

(I'm sure you have the same problem suntech, though here's a mini-guide on way that I use in terms of seeding material you already own - in case you needed more general info: place the files from your disc into a folder onto the desktop, download the torrent file and open it with your client of choice so those new files appear on your PC in another location, stop the torrent and then copy your original files into the folder where the torrent files are located. Start the torrent again and after checking the validity of your source files the torrent should complete immediately).

I've often found that sometimes nfo files are different, or you need to download the demonoid text file etc. though usually its just a case of a few kb, and everyone should have the same source files for this since there is just a 1.0 out there

Thanks again all - and Appendix #3 is on it's way (very silly and minor this next one, in lieu of an explosion of greatness that fingers crossed will be #4 !)

Indeed - the plan was to go for the CBS Edit of Aliens next - it's akin to the Harry Potter ABC edits on myspleen at the moment, whereby it's reinstated footage, nearly all familiar - but some interesting creative choices (way before the Cameron sanctioned extended edition came out) and doubly fun since thanks to the source, I'll be able to branch the versions for "with adverts" and "without", so a trek down memory lane too, pretty sure it's a 1987/88 release. However the quality isn't great, but that's no fault of the source - it's just the age of the material.

However I'm getting stacked with some great material for future discs, the great thing with the above is that it wouldn't take as long to do as the Appendix #2

Smurf - it sure will be on the spleen, though I'm sure there are enough peeps out there who could sort you out with a PiF, especially the 2xDVD5's posse, who could well have dual layers now so don't need the singles

The NFO (and cover art) is all in the DVD_ROM folder - I'll forward you the NFO by email D_J just to make sure.

All 2xDVD5 data discs (x18 !) went out today - they are all tested and if you use ImgTool and then burn as an ISO they work absolutely fine. Otherwise you can always watch the files through your PC if you're not going down the burning route.

I think I need to give my burner a bit of a rest, so should any peeps be looking for the disc (the torrent should be up within the week, so hold tight for that if you can d/l) then please request a PiF.

Hope y'all enjoy the disc, let me know what you think when it arrives.

First wave of discs (10+) went out today - those were the DL's, I'll be sending the 2xDVD5 data discs in the next few days.

Still need some addresses from people so please get in contact via email/PM in you haven't send your addy.
