*** The Official DigitalFreakNYC Release Thread*** (SW, Indy + Others!)
Time
Hey there,

I have most of the discs that this seller/trader has - I slapped proper menus on all of them so as to try and get a few more out of him. Off the top of my head I have the 3x Jaws discs and the 2xET Discs. 12x Star Wars Archives and also the Lucasfilm Legacy, 2xRaiders and 2XAlien discs - pretty sure I've got a few of the others ones too.

I'm sure there must be a better E! capture out there. I don't know if your discs are the same, but it breaks up quite badly in places. I think even someone on here has an Ebay bought "original" that was an Awards/Screener version - or something, will go back and see.

Other than that - can't wait to see this and the Dracula discs

Dawn Of The Dead Ultimate Edition Volume 2-UPDATE Discs 1-4 (Released)
Time
DarthCarr, Cashflagg !

Hello. Apologies for the long hiatus. See the Alien thread for a fuller explanation. Suffice to say this project was only ever on pause, not dead - I just needed to sort out a looooooooot of things in that crazy place called life.

However they are all now sorted out and since it's the New Year - I'm ready to work again. So all the material is still in place. Just need to (finally) figure out the best way to sort out the commentary tracks and will happily take any further additions to those that have been posted since I've been away. The list still stands as it was with the material I have (in differing formats) - but I have a good plan of what to put on the first disc. Will send you emails in due course...

Cheers,

meedermow

Official Release Thread - Alien Appendix - Updated with #2 info (Released)
Time
Hello, hello !

It's been too damn long. Hope you're all well.

Apologies for the absence, a major (life) project took over and limited my availability to the more important things (i.e this !) so severely that many things had to take a back-seat and unfortunately this was one of them.

However, Phoenix like, I return !

Anyone who picked up any of the previous Alien discs will know that quality is the name of the game as opposed to a quick turnaround.

I totally agree with tb1971 that we got sidetracked from the original intentions but it all comes down to time/willingness/content/promises - you've always backed up what you've promised as has many other members of this board (jonno, triffid, ash etc) however a lot of the archival material was waiting for promised better versions/new transfers etc from others that never materialised. So it just hung in limbo with a lot of quality items unable to be rounded out since they only amounted to a few 10s of minutes of material as opposed to a healthy disc worths. Not an excuse really, more of a frustration.

On a bright note the feedback from Alien Redux was fantastically enthusiastic and spread round a large network of fans to the extent that someone that I worked with professionally recently enthused about it not knowing that I had anything to do with the project in the firstplace !

triffid & Jonno - good to see you are still around too !

digitalfreaknyc - indeed there was a NTSC Evolution disc made, I'm suprised it didn't reach you via the usual contacts/methods, suffice to say there is one here with your name on it - I'll send you a PM.

Hola to bigrob and ash595 - apologies I never got back to you in the last few months, but will be a far improved correspondent now certain things are sorted out.

I'm very happy to work with Jonno to get this thing back on track. CBS Aliens was finished as a disc, just needed a menu and front-end (which was taking the most time to do as those that have seen the first Appendice discs will probably understand !) it could be rolled out as Disc#3 - the quality isn't great, though would be going down the fan edit/re-cut route again. More of an interest to see with the original adverts in place and the edit that CBS chose (most of the Extended Edition reinstated and language cut) - I'm happy to be led in whichever way you'd like to go. tb's material is so good that it needs to be put out soon, but it would be great to have the sufficient support material in place to do a disc per film.

Right, talking over. Down to action. Jonno - emailing you now...

Dawn Of The Dead Ultimate Edition Volume 2-UPDATE Discs 1-4 (Released)
Time
Hey all,

Work continues (albeit very slowly - unfortunately life is very much getting in the way still !). No new additions since we last spoke - but I'll have to have at least one PAL disc in the mix, unless I go for a conversion for some of the extra material. This is gonna be spread over a fair few discs already - but unless people are happy to sacrifice some of the rarer stuff - then it will have to be split across formats.

More news to follow soon...

I've managed to boost a few of the d/ler's up to 99.99% but for some reason one of the BUP files doesn't show up in Azureus. It would take the best part of 10 minutes of someone's time who has the disc and would be appreciated by a lot of people ! Cheers

ADM - I have the original unaltered Little Mermaid DVD (in PAL) - let me know if it would be of any help.

Still need some kind soul to provide 0.01% of this torrent to the people d/ling this on myspleen - please help if you have this disc.

Received from Cashflagg (many thanks !):

Martin DVD Extra
Son of Incredibly Strange Filmshow (xvid format - if anyone has mpeg/DVD - let me know)

I've got both commentary tracks removed from their NTSC and PAL respective images, so can marry them up to a compressed version of the film - or have them as standalone extras with still pictures in the background.

The Tenacious D Cream Dream Set. Second Disc Ready for Download!! (Released)
Time
Hey Ell,

Well done for finishing it - if you're doing a repackage can you clean up a few things on the back cover (or I'll happily do it if you want to send the file through as a PSD etc.) ?

9 = You're Not Hardcore (as opposed to Your)
18 = It's a Long Way to the Top (as opposed to along)
19 = Sarah Michelle Gellar (as opposed to Geller)

Maybe if you add a 0 to all tracks to from 1-9 inclusive then the back cover will hang together nicer, add a dash after track #21 to make it match all the other tracks and if you can fit #16's Triumph credit on the same line then the back cover will look a treat.

Minor things, but they'll really bring the presentational side in line with the content on the disc

Best,

mm

Dawn Of The Dead Ultimate Edition Volume 2-UPDATE Discs 1-4 (Released)
Time
No worries cashflagg - just clearing a huge backlog of requests/send outs so my mind is gradually becoming less cluttered in an attempt to allow more space for the zombies

Currently I have:

Mall Tour (DarthCarr)
22 Reunion (DarthCarr)
Laserdisc supplements & commentary (bigrob)
Goblin score (bigrob)
Unreleased music cues (bigrob)
DVD_ROM folder (crazyrabbits)
G4 Icons - Romero (meedermow)
Introduction by Romero to Dawn of the Dead BBC2 showing (meedermow)
Savini UK exclusive commentary (meedermow)

Anything more I receive I'll update as I get it.

Some part of me doesn't actually want to synch the commentaries up to the film - it would save a shed load of disc space and we could just sort out a slideshow etc. to play behind them - only because we know the film so well and it would turn the download from 7GB+ to 400MB and allow space for the real extras ! Any thoughts welcomed...

Cheers,

mm

Hey folks,

You're not wrong there. Apologies for radio silence, had quite the busiest few months I've had and have had no time for such important things as this and the Alien projects !

But things are slowly winding down and with the current stuff I have and the promises of more from other sources we should be looking to ramp up towards mid-end September. DarthCarr - still out there and still behind the project - don't you worry

Cheers,
