Puggo GRANDE - 16mm restoration (Released)

One trick I've learned is to err on the side of audio being late.  In the real world, our brains have come to expect the light to arrive before the sound.  So if the audio is late, you might notice it.  But if the audio arrives early, it feels really wierd.  Doesn't work for close-ups.

I'm quite sensitive to audio advances and delays and I have to say I would prefer a 100ms audio advance to a 50ms audio delay. The former is more obvious, but the latter is more frustrating for some reason.

If anyone really has a problem with the color timing of the new BD box set, it's a simple matter of getting the 2008 HDTV Broadcasts. The timing is relatively similar to the Lowry, and it's available in really high HD quality (on the scale of 20 GB something captures).

Anybody know where to find this version besides newsgroups? I'd love a PM. Teh only seems to have a 9GB version with missing links. Hmm... might be time to finally fire up one of those free trials.

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

The type of file I would be happiest with for friends and relatives would be a 720p MKV @ 4.37GB. Works in Blu-ray players, consoles, PCs and HDD based media players. A much better quality option than DVD5 for those not limited to DVD players and you can still go cheap with single layer discs.

Just sayin'. I'm happy with whatever we get!

Ebay drives me nuts sometimes...
Time

Sellers that list in erroneous categories and use irrelevant keywords in their title. Wading through the excessive search results caused by these sellers.

US sellers that will not post inexpensive items by first class international mail. The buyers that receive items from the US and claim they didn't arrive that are responsible for it.

Sellers that don't give you feedback for payment until you leave them feedback. I paid first gorramit...

What do you mean by Kirkman breaking the fourth wall? Negan explaining his reasoning for who he is going to kill? Didn't really feel like a genuine wall break to me.

Nah, not technically. I could just feel Kirkman's hand all over it. To me Negan was Kirkman, lining the characters up... "Right, 100th issue fuckers, who's it gonna be?"

Carl has been molded to be this totally badass character, but he is still this little kid. I'd really like to see what he is like when he is older, and I don't want to have to wait 20 real life years for the story to progress that far, which is what we are looking at at this rate.

Agreed. I foresee some problems with depth perception ;)

The Walking Dead #100

I didn't think I would ever be affected by a comic book this way, but FUCK YOU Kirkman! I am pissed. I don't blame the character that did it, I blame you. So, you know... way to break the fourth wall while you're at it. There is no way the TV show could follow the book properly with all the horrible shit this guy does to his characters.

When You Are a Movie/TV Character...

An onslaught of bad guys will always take you on one at a time so you have time to kill them individually and quickly rather than taking advantage of their numerical superiority.

This is usually the case, the bad guys are quite courteous in that regard. If you are mobbed by numerous bad guys however, you will:

a). Have the strength to throw them all off you at once.

b). Crawl out of the huddle and escape unnoticed.
