well mine is a very low budget R2 dvd player & when i bought mine i "asked" the salesman if he would give me the code to unlock it to make it multi region.
I think im right in saying ALL dvd players are multi region but due to copyright laws (i think) they have to be set to a standard format for the country or region they are being sold in.
might be worth running a google search with your "dvd make, serial number & multi region unlock code"
or something along those lines, has always worked for me mates!
btw that addy is www.google.co.uk (just in case ya didnt know)

Do you have a multi region dvd player? If not could yours possibly be set to accept region 2 dvd's?
If so PLAY.COM are offering the NTSC version of Battle Royale for a very meager sum.(prices in pounds sterling though)
Check out the link:

(ok it sounds like them) but the songs are written differently, not quite so precise & not always a clear, beautiful or haunting melody as seen in most of their stuff.
but hell i loved it!

R2 D2 & C3PO are also to be found in Raiders Of The Lost Ark...they're represented as Hieroglyphics on the wall of the Well Of Souls, just behind the Arc.
In Indiana Jones & The Temple Of Doom the club theyr in at the very beginning is called Club Obi Wan.
Does this mean that all these films are connected in some way? that they all exist in some parallel universe?
Course they don't!
It's just a bunch of geeks having a laugh & sticking in things they find funny where ever they can get away with it for geeks like us to seek out & say "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Cheeky"

or even Nom Anor striding by in the back ground
Apparantly there are some of the Hapian representative (from the Courtship of Princess Leia & the NJO series) in the Coruscant scenes of Attack Of The Clones......a woman with a veiled face flanked by 2 bodyguards!
1st to find her wins a Mars bar!
I'd scan the picture in here but alas to save on space when moving I threw out all my Star Wars magazines

I don't think that the Prequels mesh as well as I would have liked with the EU (which Lucas seems to have completely disregarded).
Point 1: Boba Fett- Originally was a man banished from the planet Concord Dawn. Now, he's a clone copy of the same man used as the template for the stormtroopers??
Over the years there have been many different tales of Boba's origins, if you read the Dark Empire comic series they reveal Boba Fett to have once been an Imperial Stormtrooper. He's also been the last survivor of the Mandalore Battle Commandoes (which if you now do any background research on the OS ha snow been handed over to Jango), a Journey man named Jaster Merell etcetc
I can't remember where I read it, but that question was once posed to some lacky at Lucasfilm who replied "the many myths of Boba Fetts origins are part of an elaborate deception scheme to confuse potential assassins/would be competitors"
Quote
Point 2: Clones- This is slightly more dependant on EP3, but where are the Spaarti Cloning Cylinders?? For that matter, who/what are Spaarti??
Ahh the blessed EU, throws up so many amazing ideas that get poo-poo'd by the movies.....I've always thought of the Spaarti cloning tanks as being one of many sources for cloning.
Quote
Point 3: Ships- Again, this is more dependant on EP3, but where are the Dreadnaughts, Alderaanian War Frigates, Republic TIEs, Z-95 Headhunters?
theres 20 years between eps 3 & 4, thats a lot of time for new ships to come be wheeled out of the production line, plus we dont know for sure what ships we are going to see in Ep3, it has been suggested we will see early prototypes of some Ep4 ships
Quote
Point 4: Events- I'm hoping we get some mention of Thrawn and/or the Outbound Galaxy Project. So many have said that Lucas likes the Zahn Trilogy best, that it holds truest to the spirit of Star Wars, yet Lucas has yet to do anything that shows that the Zahn books fit into his own story.
Um Zhan created Coruscant.......nuff said!

OMG!!!!
Well let's just say that you have been born in the wrong century my lad!
Let's take you back in time to say........................the 18th or even 19th century.
You'd probably feel very much at home there.
If in doubt, my young friend, here's a little bit of a history lesson for you.
Ever heard of Womens Emancipation?
The burning of the Bra's saga?
Nope?? didn't think so...........
Women have been treated as second class citizens for so long I can't even begin to quote figures (or even make them up

Yup thats right Women were at one point NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE.....
Obviously there are still a few of us Men out there who believe in the old fashioned views (as our grandfathers did once) that Women should be courted & wooed. Doors should be opened for them, they should be taken out for meals, bought flowers etcetcetc
thats fine by me.....however many women nowadays don't like to be made to feel they are getting a "free lunch" & like to either pay their way (again fine by me) or even....gasp............... treat their fella to a decent night out.
Sorry if this upsets ya Jimbo, its the way society has progressed, ya could almost call it EVOLUTION

Im not gonna call you a sexist pig, just cant be bothered, but that feisty young attitude of yours might end you up in court in later life on Sexual Harrasment charges.........
sleep tight

Yeah I remember that...didn't they have an Infinite Universe thing going on & there was like 6 different Spidermans running about trying to save the world?
BTW...just on another note....The Secret Wars of the title was originally an Epic crossover story from the early 1980's Marvel comics. If I remember just about EVERY MARVEL superhero/villain was involved in some way & I think there were quite a few characters killed off too. But as it was an "alternate universe" story it didn't really affect the characters regular titles once the storyline had finished.

There we go! That's your answer to your own concern right there.....you only read RECENT comics & watch the cartoons...I assume you mean the 2 recent Spiderman cartoon series?
There have been many, many interpretations of Spiderman in comics over his 40 year history. Many reinventions & many restarts of the Spiderman mythos. These contradict each other & change characters/villains motives along the way. I don't think it's really that fair of you to say that Doc Ock was wrong in the movie because it's not like the version you know when there have been upteenth variations of the character that you haven't had prior knowledge of to draw a comparison. Had your knowledge of the various interpretations been less limited then you would be in a better position to argue your case.
It's kinda like watching the 1960's Batman television series & then moaning that Tim Burtons 1989 movie completely changed all your favourite characters & totally messed it up

See what I'm getting at?

Depends what series of comics & from what era you are reading, if original 60's comics then yes, Octavius wasn't EVIL, he was a wronged Scientist trying to exact revenge, driven insane by the welding of these "empathic" tentacles to his nervous system

I'm beginning to seriously doubt the legitimacy of ANYTHING that emerges from that dudes mouth......
"Well I had a 9 part treatment for the story written back in 1972. Did I say 9? Oh meant 6, no 9, no 6, yes definitely 6 & I'd always envisioned Jar Jar being in the movies (even though my then 5 year old son created him in 1997, but we'll just brush that under the carpet shall we??)"
