Hahahahahahahaaha!!!

it is sooooooooo true! noticed that in the cinema too...

one explanation.....maybe they only show up on a 20ft screen??

As for her baldness...

it is, as said previously, for a movie adaptation of V For Vendetta.

The director JAMES MCTEIGUE was 1st Ass. Director on the Matrix Trilogy.....Vendetta is being produced by the Wakowski's & Joel Silver hence the choice of director.

according to this report a NEW star wars film is coming......

i think a movie exploring the "original" Sith War MIGHT be a better idea....

anyone played Knights Of The Old republic on the pc?

kinda similar in feel to that but set another 1,000 or so years before...

really cool far out lightsaber designs....

jedi with cobbled patched broken armour & military battle droids slightly more clunky than the skinny dudes of the PT & packing some serious fire power....

the ships seemed more beat up in that game to me....more along the lines of the Falcon...

all you'd have to do is ensure there really were some MEGA battles (not slot them in between 2 movies) & add a cheeky character & a beautiful chick & you'd be well away....trying to ensure they were a pg-13 of course..none of this Jar-Jar family malarky!

this little tidbit was also on the site....

"Sith Not the Last Star Wars Film?
During the premiere of Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, IESB was able to get the attention of Howard Roffman, the head of liscensing for Lucasfilm. Howard Roffman admitted that Star Wars still has a future with the growing fan-base and the upcoming television series. However, this was not enough and IESB took it a step further and asked 'what about more Star Wars movies?' In a surprising answer, Roffman admits that anything is possible and to 'never say never.'"

Before you start flaming... for those of you that have seen the Holiday Special (shudder) that's all I could think of when Chewbacca and Talfor (sp) were conversing with one another as they said goodbye to Yoda. I can't take wookie speak seriously -- the special tainted me. The Ewoks gave a sense that even though they were short, furry primatives, they had a language that you felt was real. If I want to speak wookie, I'll talk to dogs and walrus'. Lucas wanted to have the wookies in Ep6 but couldn't. Now in Ep3 he basically recreates the Ewoks but taller and technologically advanced (minus the Tarzan yell). So... as stated in Clerks: "all Jedi had was a bunch of Mupputs", I still prefer the Muppets.

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! I thought the exact same thing when the Wookies were chatting in Ep3.....

ROTS made it's money back before it was even in theatres from what I heard. It's breaking records and could become one of the highest grossing films ever. Just about everyone will see it. This film made over 150mil in 4 days for crying out loud.

I would love to give you a big big hug!!! I work in the British video industry & am constantly bombarded with anti-piracy messages & adverts......am asked by those above me to visit street markets & pubs & purchase these pirate dvd's & then report to the authorities who sold it to me & where...whilst not getting my money back!

the whole situation is out of hand.....they won't go after the people that are behind piracy (who we are told in the UK are TERRORISTS!! - oooooohhhhhhh) instead, as always, focus on the easy target.....it really really stinks....

If you want to point the finger of blame anywhere then point it directly at the entertainment industry itself....

I remember during the 1980's there was an investigation by the British trading standards into the retail price of cd's.....

after months of investigation it was ruled that we were being well & truly ripped off....the average cd cost about 25p to make, perhaps another £1 to cover royalties & we were being charged about £17.......

now in 2005 we are being charged roughly £12-15 per new cd & the reason? Piracy.......

Now who else here smells some mighty fine BULLSHIT?????

If piracy is so extreme why are the authorities NOT TARGETTING THE INDUSTRY PUNDITS THAT LEAK THESE ALBUMS & FILMS onto the internet?

There I whole heartedly agree with you I think more than anything this movie will tear the Star Wars community in 2...debates will rage long into the night...

I don't know about you but I often find myself getting riled whilst reading a post that initially seems quite terse but on further reading is often less so.... I personally find the lack of context a real issue (yeah im sure its my own fault) especially when theres a lack of emoticons used in the post.....I know I sometimes can come across as being a bit harsh but my posts are generally written with my tongue planted firmly in my cheek & if anything suffer from my inability to hold a thought long enough to construct a solid argument & I come across rather unintelligently using phrases such as "sucks ass"

greencapt...now you've given a valid reason for disliking the movie I can appreciate your situation. If you have knowledge of film making & see poor craftsmanship at work of course that will rile you..... but I fail to see how this relates to age? Your dislike stems from a techincal understanding of cinematography....not everyone is going to have that knowledge...so again I say it comes down to you not getting the movie you wanted to see....

Luke's ROTS Review (plot holes included)
Time
Concerning Leia's memories of "her mother" in ROTJ......

I have never once assumed what she describes as being the memory of her "birth mother" but that of her adopted mother

"she died when i was young. she was very beautiful and kind but also sad" - I always assumed this was in reference to Mrs Organa....

Luke counters this with "I have no memory of my mother"...again I just assumed this was to reinforce to the audience that he had grown up believing he was an orphan.... but then they're just my thoughts & opinions & no doubt will get shot down in flames...

As for Vaders "Noooooooo" I too hated this the first time I saw it....but then as I've said elsewhere on the forum I've never wanted to see Anakin turning into Vader or anything connecting him to Vader...as we knew this would happen I gave up stating my case & just tried to prepare myself for that scene.....however......

I saw the film a second time on Saturday....I needed too, i didn't really enjoy my first viewing - I spent the entire time searching the screen for "eye candy" & being overwhelmed by the visual fx......

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the movie a second time round...gone was my sullied expectations, I was free to immerse myself in the movie & let it run with me....I found myself welling up during the execution of the Jedi & fully understanding Anakin's betrayal of the Jedi & lure to the Dark Side......I've read a few comments complaining that his turn was too quick....Um wasn't the WHOLE trilogy meant to be about Anakin's downfall? For me his journey to the Dark Side began with the slaughter of the Tuskens...that was the moment Anakin died IMO..the rest was just a sequence of events predetermined & waiting to fall into place....

Ok i can understand how some people might feel it was rushed...but he has just attacked Mace Windu, he has just caused his death, he has just betrayed the Jedi Order.....some might say he has left himself little choice......& all for his love & desire for Padme, fuelled by his obsession with loss.....

The end result being........giving everything up so he can save the one he loves & ultimately being the cause of her death..tragic irony!

Um Im 31 & thoroughly enjoyed the movie, as did all my friends (aged between 18 & 72) so I would argue that it's not a question of age but obvoiusly a sense of bitter disappointment....you didn't get to see the movie you wanted to see so obviously it sucks ass.....it's ok thats your opinion....just not one Im going to agree with or share

Who's read the novelization of ROTS?
Time
Dark Empire was a comic book not a novel so you can't blame it for not being too hot when it cannot begin to contain the level of complexity that a novel holds

I read ROTS & left my views elsewhere in this forum (quite negative btw), but by all means read it... we can't tell you what it's like.....you have to form your own opinion's...we can but express our own reactions, feelings & opinion's....

you quote Philip K Dick, Frank Herbert & Neil Gaiman amongst your literary tastes...excellent choices....3 of my favourites also....

Yeah, its us OLD people George- thanks!
Time
ok time to join in & get some ridicule

I'm 31....(old fan), saw the original's in the cinema & loved them...still do.....I bought the spec edition dvd set because i wanted star wars on dvd...i stil lwatch the video's when i want to remind myself that Han was cool (once) other than that I'm like the majority of people out there......just glad to have Star Wars to blast out at some obsene level.......I would prefer to have the unaltered versions on dvd but have conceeded that this will only happen when georgie boy has directed/produced some more turkeys & wants a quick cash handout....

I saw Ep1 on its release, I think it was on my 26th birthday.....my first reaction was one of joy.......except for the "poo-doo" jokes & jar-jar the irritant.....

i went to see that film expecting a movie "for kids" & got exactly that....yet..........the OT was NOT directly aimed at kids...ok its pretty easy going & contains popcorn comic book violence but it maintained a level of maturity that young kids WOULDNOT understand or comprehend.......

yet....the PT contains LENGTHY dialogue concerning politics, the fate of the galaxy & philosophical debate on the nature of life, the universe & everything.......

HOW CAN THIS BE CONSIDERED MATERIAL SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN???

I think this is the issue that really irks me....on the one hand there is over the top muppet show style antics & jokes yet on the other there is something akin to Shakespearian tragedy.....how can children absorb & understand this???

I think the real problem is GL tried to make a trilogy to entice a new generation of fans whilst attempting to cater for the older fans.....unfortuantely when mixing these 2 contrasting elements the result is a confused mess that can't succesfully appeal to either demographic...IMO

A question in regards to Samuel L. Jackson

SLJ's acting/ interpretation of the character is also terrible, and the "second baddest person of the universe" shouldn't be so clicheed.

SLJ asked for a purple lightsaber......& got it...the answer is as simple as that!

What exactly are the people of the US supposed to do for the rest of the world? How much of the blood of our citizens has been spilled over the past century liberating or protecting other countries? How much of our food has gone to feeding the hungry? How much money has our country shelled out bailing out failed economies, or rebuilding tsunami devasted countries a world away? When will the people of the world solve their own problems instead of looking for the US to bail them out? Do the corrupt/failed governments of the world bare any responsibility for the terrible state their countries are in? Who gives anyone the right to demand that we give more? If you sincerely believe that what I've said above is brainwashing, you need help man.

hehe this should cause a ripple

please bear in mind that there is a certain sense of irony & jest in the following comments (hidden amongst the truth)

"and so the brain washed individual counters with a sweeping statement that really does prove they are controlled. By failing to recognise that many of the points mentioned in their statement can be dismissed, as America the great was infuential, above all others, in the creation of the problem........"

remember this is a jestfull comment, not directly attacking individuals or America but perhaps suggesting an Orwellian nature to the world we live in.....the blinkers are pulled over our eyes on a daily basis...we are told what we need, or what they think we should know, and nothing more....we can but debate the indications of aid and where the finger of blame may rest.....

perhaps it is wrong to blame America but perhaps to lay the blame at the feet of those few individuals in positions of power that feel the need to "improve" foreign countries by imposing American funded leaders (that can later handily be removed from power by afore mentioned "individuals" thus paving the way to "enforce" Democracy (surely we don't think we still live in a Democratic world??) on said nation & conveniently help themselves to the ample supplies of oil stockpiled by said nation....

Ahhh bless George Orwell......a shame he's not around to witness the eerie relevance of his parodic novels....

It's the only TV show worth watching. Or should I say, was...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094517/

Joel Robinson (later Mike Nelson), and the bots Crow and Servo are trapped in a spaceship orbiting the Earth. Dr. Forrester and TV Frank (later Pearl) show them bad, bad movies to make them go insane. They talk during the films, making hilarious comments thru it.

Living in the UK i watched this on ITV late one night, strangely enough it was listed as a 2 hour tv movie & not a series....

i was explaining the synopsis to one of my friends the other day & couldnt remember what it was called so thank you very much for jogging my memory
