Editing the '2oo4 Editions' - which changes would you revert?
Time
OMG!!!! I have found an Ally! Rebelscum, I think you are the ONLY person I have found so far that thinks, like I do, that Lucas is messing the whole Vader's reveal on Bespin up! I've posted god knows how many times how much I despise the fact that "FANBOYS" & I use that term loosely want to see Vader created in Episode 3, from the spoilers it seems this might happen........who knows?

I'm not gonna reitterate my ramblings but suffice to say, RebelScum, I'll fight the good fight with you

just changing the subject slightly from the ripping of BWP.....

did any of you guys watch Cabin Fever?????????

I only ask this because after it was released on dvd it rented reasonably well, until my customers (I work in a video rental shop) started bringing it back saying how crap it was & how un-scary it was....

I decided that a closer inspection was needed. I took a copy home to watch & after a lenghty phone call with one of my friends I decided, uopn his recommendation, to watch the dvd extras before watching the movie. After watching the extras I settled down to watch the movie & laughed my ass off! An excellent parody of 80's style, kids lost in the woods cheesy Horror flicks.

If only this movie had been classed as a black Comedy rather than a Horror??? Kudos to Eli Roth!!!!

edited bit:

If ya do brave it make sure you watch the "Rotten Fruit" animations that are in the special features section.....absolutely laughed my damn ass off...in fact watch them before you watch the movie & you might "get" the film a bit more.......just my tuppence!

hehe HotRod I know what you mean man, but atleast we'll still have ALL those original versions on VHS to watch & knowing the British public once them DVD sets hit the High Streets you'll be able to pick up more copies of the VHS editions in second hand shops & on ebay than we will EVER be able to watch in our life times for little to nothing.......

thats the reason I HATED the movie, it's sooooooooooooo damn obvious why he's standing in the corner, all you have to do is pay a teenie weenie bit of attention at the beginning of the film & you are told!!!!

as for Sean's comment, some dumb ass bitch sitting in front of me at the cinema actually turned to her "companion" & asked very loudly "why is he stood in the corner pissing, why doesnt he help her?"

I wanted to punch her so damn hard in the chops! but i didnt i just stormed outside & smoked!

BTW, I actually quite enjoyed BW2, had a great idea behind it

Does anyone have this mammoth release!?
Time
I have this set also....it's damn impressive, although some of the documentaries are infact the 3 making of videos that had been previously released (making of star wars; from star wars to jedi; classic creatures)

It has so many different trailers & tv spots + interviews with GL & I'm sure theres some other stuff that hadn't previously been released.

It was limited to 10,000, only sold in the UK & the videos are VHS PAL format so make sure you Yankees can play these before bidding, it just wont work on an NTSC video no matter how much you fiddle with it!!

*** ok so it was 20,000 I thought it was less, then again I know only 3 other people that have this set & none of them bought it when it came out, they all bought it off eBay at prices ranging from £30 - £150!***

I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT - WHY SO MANY SW FANS DISLIKED THE PT...
Time
well I think GL has shown that some things in the SW saga are true "from a certain point of veiw"

To elaborate on my outlandish (& i too hope GL doesnt go there, it was just one of those random thoughts you have at work & then discuss) concept:

What if Palpatine KNEW the prophecy?

We know Palpy is immensly strong in the Dark side of the Force, so in laymans terms he has Force ability (im not getting into the light versus dark im basically suggesting that having Force powers is enough).

Now if he knows the Prophecy of the one Jedi (I'm assuming we're meant to assume that the Prophecy is that one Jedi will eradicate the Sith once & for all), whats to stop him from bastardising (for want of a better word) this myth by ensuring that the Prophecy is fulfilled, from a certain point of view. I'm not suggesting that Anakin is a clone of Palpatine or anything BUT in our own society the ability is there to produce an embryo outside of the womb & then impregnate the foetus inside the mother-to-be at a later date. Perhaps Anakins "immaculate conception" could have followed a similar line?

In ROTJ Palpatine says on a couple of occasions "Everything is proceeding as I have forseen".

It is this line in particular that I have based my argument around. What if Palpy had forseen the coming of Anakin so many years before TPM & that upon discovery by the Jedi, Anakin would be seen as the Jedi's greatest hope against the Sith.

Instead of growing powerful in the light side of the Force, Anakin would already be tainted with the Dark Side (hence Yoda's apprehension) & his downfall wouldn't be so tragic, but a forgone conclusion.

The Jedi would be destroyed by the very individual that had been sent to save them (a perversion on the Saviour theme, very Sith ) & all of these events would have occured as Palpatine had forseen.

This would then link in well with Palpatine's failure to fully forsee his own fate at the hands of Vader & the link that existed between Father & Son, the sons love & pity for his Father, returning Anakin from the Dark side & allowing Anakin to fulfill the Prophecy & become the Chosen One.

Ok so thats quite out there I didnt mean to suggest that Palpatine would be Father in the clinical sense of the word but in a more abstract sense I guess. Ok feel free to shoot me down but my theory does fit in with the recurring themes & motifs that Lucas likes to use & does incorporate the themes of religion that Lucas also likes to slip in there........................

yeah buddy as i was saying I've often thought along those lines until the problem with Sifo Dyas only dying 10 years before aOTC (so just after or before TPM) the Jedi Council is pretty much the same (a few differences but nothing life threatening) in TPM as it is in AOTC so I kinda ruled that out.

the one plot revelation I had been toying with is a much larger grander aspect of who Palpatine really is but rather..........

Could he be Anakins father? Could that be the surprise revelation? Could the whole creation of Anakin been part of Sidious's master plan to take over the Galaxy & turn the republic into the evil Galactic Empire with him at the head & Vader by his side?

right I've had enough if this bullshit thats spewing out of that little twerps mouth.

JIMBO YOU ARE A NAZI! YOU ARE THE DISEASE HERE NOT GAY PEOPLE! Your relations fought & died to remove people like you from the world.

Before you even think of bringing the race element into not being a Nazi perhaps you should go & do a little research.

The Nazi's targetted homosexuals & people who were anti social as well as ethnicity so please get your facts straight before posting such immature BULLSHIT!

you don't think that gay people should be allowed to raise children? That all children should be raised within a "normal" environment.....well that just shows your level of ignorance. More "normal" families are afflicted with divorce, alcoholism, drug abuse & physical abuse than any other. Is that a good environment for a child to grow up in??

I have 2 friends who are gay, a couple, and the proud parents of an adopted 2 yr old child. They treat their daughter with as much love and respect and care as any of my "straight" friends who are parents do. They have no intention of forcing their views upon her, they are also vegetarian but realise the nutritional needs of a growing child, does this make them the evil, unfit parents as you suggest?

Right Im sorry but I can't stay & listen to this horse crap anymore I've tolerated him for many months & now it has just gone too far!

If you were adopted then you might be in a position to suggest what is good & what is harmful to a child that is just desperate for someone to love & take care of them. The decision to give up a child (for whatever reasons) is far more destructive & detremental to both child & parents than their sexuality.

Well all you other guys out there thanks for making me feel welcome & enjoy Revenge of the Sith, I'm sure I'll pop by to catch up on some sensible issues once in a while but I won't stay & read this shit

Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (official)
Time
i think you'll find that although the Terminator parts were destroyed SKYNET wasn't.

As T3 shows, Skynet wasn't a single computer or piece of machinery that could just be destroyed. As long as Skynet survived Judgement Day was just postponed.

although the overall message of T3 is the future & the past cannot be changed, what MUST happen, WILL happen.....EVENTUALLY

hahahahahahahahahahaha

Well iv said it before & I'll say it again...

his back catalogue of movies is not very impressive, most of the projects .....stinkers.......as soon as he's skint again we'll see a rerelease of the OT (either at cinema or on dvd) & then new Star wars films once he's got a bit of spare dough knocking about

I think the whole ST thing-a-me-jig got rolling after job adverts were found online for artists at ILM.

Can't remember where the site is but I do remember it was basically a way for digital studios to advertise online.

The layout basically stated what the job entailed & what kind of movies you'd be working on.

1st few said "working on movies such as Shrek 2"

& this was even before an official announcement about Shrek 2 had been made.

Under the ILM description it said "working on movies such as Star Wars episodes 7-9"

Jeremy Bulloch did not provide the voice for Boba Fett in ESB. I can't remember the name of the actor that did, it wa sin an issue of the UK Official Star Wars magazine dedicated to all things bounty hunter, unfortunately I threw it away when moving

However, JB DOES appear on screen & unmasked in ESB...............he plays the Imperial Officer that is attempting to drag Leia into the elevator whilst she is screaming at Luke that it's a trap! Cunning eh?
