I’m not a sound engineer either but I agree. If the sound clip for that line is available, I could take it for a spin in Audacity or Ableton Live and see what I could muster up. “Found” needs to be teeny-tiny bit slower and “OUN” balanced.

Tbh, I don’t have that much faith in myself but just trying to be useful for once, LOL! 😄

Oh well, I can totally live with the current Snoke scene. The amount of work and precision it would take… probably wouldn’t even be worth it in the end.

It’s a bit funny that my imagination can accept such bending visually but when a character says something that is a bit off, then it’s a huge problem for my mind. 😄

I agree about the sideways wipe btw. It didn’t really seem to fit in that transition.

…and then jumping to an older topic: has there been any changes / developments in the Kylo mask continuity dilemma? Does it require some super FX expert rotoscoping to succeed?

JEDIT: BTW, now that we have that awesome “they found us” line… should something be done to Maz’s “Those beasts, they’re here!” (at 01:09:30 in the current edit)? Feels a bit funny that no-one informed her about the incoming attack. Not as important as some other cuts though.

I honestly never want to see / hear that “A Star Wars Story” subtitle ever again. For me, it will always be just Rogue One or Star Wars: Rogue One.

If I had the editing know-how, I’d much rather look at the CGI exterior wall of Yavin base than the blank grey one.

In ESB, I’d switch in the SE Emperor hologram since the monkey face doesn’t really appeal to me.

Those are the only changes I’d make to Despecialized if I had the knowledge and patience to tweak my own versions.

JEDIT: …and yeah… maybe the planet explosions. Not THAT important for me though.

I really hope this time around the deleted scenes won’t have those timestamps. But yeah, they probably will…

…and in Despecialized Empire Strikes Back, I would like to switch the SE Emperor hologram with the original’s monkey face.

Would these changes mess up with the frames / subtitles etc with the rest of the movies? I mean… are the special edition shots longer than the original ones? The Emperor one might be a problem since the dialogue and everything is different?

I managed to find the MEGA link for the 1080p mp4 version. But it’s only 140MB larger than the 720p avi?

I wouldn’t mind a PM as well… since MEGA seems to have some weird 5GB free limits nowadays.

I just noticed something after drooling over the trailers again.

K2’s line “Captain says you’re a friend… I won’t kill you” didn’t make the cut. Also the rising TIE fighter is missing when Jyn is going for the antenna switch (something I now remember being very excited about).

Well, that’s a bummer… kinda like that Kylo Ren TFA trailer moment where he ignites his saber like a BAMF.

It seems that many people always forget the Maz / Rey moment when they bring up the lightsaber fighting.

Close your eyes. Feel it. The light… it’s always been there. It will guide you.

So my understanding has always been that it’s the Force guiding her saber when she truly gives in / concentrates and goes full “limit break” on Ren.

Nice! The international trailer has Jyn saying “May the Force be with us…” with a much more earnest tone. In the sizzle reel it sounded like she was being sarcastic. Glad they “fixed” it… or maybe the sizzle reel version was just meant as a wink for the audience. 😃

I would be down for a movie about the criminal underworld / bounty hunting (Black Sun etc). But once again… with totally new characters but certain cameos would be awesome, of course. Different crime syndicates fighting over territories and power, bounty hunters getting thrown in the mix, people backstabbing each other to climb to the top of the food chain. In short: Godfather in a galaxy far, far away…

I like Boba Fett the way he is right now. The silent, mysterious type. I don’t really NEED to see his origins with a 15-minute montage of blaster mastery and jetpack training. Watching the OT after a Boba Fett movie would be like “Wow, he really used to talk more…”

Hopefully this time the deleted scenes include something “more meaningful” that can be inserted in future edits. But there will probably be just more 10 second snippets with timecodes etc, haha! I’m just wishing for almost anything to replace / alter the Rathtar scene. 😛

It seems that you guys already had some discussion about the “it’s the First Order” line in the first page. I think our only hope is that Frink somehow re-dubs it to “It’s the First Order, they’re coming!” and Han replies “Thank you, Captain Obvious”. Haha!

Also the part right after where Maz hands over the lightsaber to Finn made me smile a bit because of “Those beasts, they’re here!” and Han stands there looking like “Shit, we forgot to tell her”. 😄

But anyways it’s all fine because we know how it “really goes” and the 3rd act is the most important part.
