TFA: A Gentle Restructure (Released)
Time

Yesss, finally found this on .info and gonna check it out right away!

( Now I only need to find a way to implement this kind of Rathtar scene in there and voilá! https://vimeo.com/172073404 by digmodification )

EDIT: Damn! The 3rd act works so much better now. The Maz Kanata part where the TIEs come in and Finn says “it’s the First Order, they’ve done it” still feels a bit weird though (because what did they DO?)… but that can’t be helped without re-dubbing or something, heh. 😃

Edit: Managed to find some screencaps, though. It’s standard KK type color preferences, where the red tones are taken out of skin. Ends up looking too yellow for my personal preference, but it’s very consistent with his normal corrections so I’m sure a lot of people will like it.

Yeah, I have zero experience in the color correction area but now that I kept looking at those screencaps and compared it to the Blu-ray, the “yellow ones” got my vote because the red tone in the originals started to remind me of a sunburn, haha! : D

The Force Awakens : Fan Edit Ideas
Time

Would it somehow ruin the structure / momentum of TFA if our companions never met the rathtars and Kanjiklub? I guess it all depends on whether “The Raid” fellas got eaten or not (and will they appear in ep VIII?). I thought those CG slimeballs were totally unnecessary. It felt more like an homage to some other movie rather than “here’s an exciting adventure moment”.

I am excited about the upcoming fan edits where I might find my go-to version of TFA. Removing the rathtars wouldn’t remove anything from the plot so that would also make it “futureproof” in case we see more of Kanjiklub later.

Harmy's Despecialized Star Wars 1977 - Color Adjustment Project for v2.7 (released)
Time

If someone would be so kind and upload the MKV to “teh place” / uloz so I could also have a look. Reading this thread and seeing the comparisons make my stomach purr (in a good way).

EDIT: “I see a few followup comments in that thread about some glitches in the initial 2.6 release. Latest news in that thread says 2.7 is under review and going to be released soon, so I suggest you wait for that.”

So… never mind. 😄

its just a simple question. why would you call me drunk?

I am new on this forum as well but holy shit! Stop requesting for covers when you can easily find them yourself. Just go to the release specific thread to see if there are any. If so, then it will certainly say so in the release info (thread’s first post). No need to spam all around / PM people with these kinds of requests. Peace!

EDIT: 20 posts about covers… really? 😄

Star Wars Episode I: Cloak Of Deception (Released)
Time

This is a long shot but… might there be a chance of making English .srt subtitles for these prequel edits? I know we can live without them but… it’s always nice to have the subtitles on-screen so I don’t miss any of the dialogue (English is not my first language). Maybe this doesn’t apply to Star Wars since most of us know the movies by heart already. 😃

Info Wanted: What is considered by most fans to be the best edit of the Prequels?
Time

I have been browsing through the most beloved edits and I was surprised how many of them include Jar Jar even a little (in Episode I at least). I just can’t handle even a single line of dialogue from JJ Binks. The Anti-Cheese edits seemed very awesome (Jar Jar had subtitles and his voice was changed to an alien one) but sadly I didn’t remember to download them… and now they have been deleted from YouTube. What a pity.

I have only been trying to look for a “good” Phantom Menace so far but seems like that is impossible (because of the original material). I have to check Hal’s + L8wrtr’s episodes II-III and try to find the most suitable edits for my taste. I am just glad that there are people around doing this kind of editing to try and make the prequels more enjoyable to watch… rather than just totally forget about them. Thanks to everyone in the editing game!

Thanks again Harmy.

I also hope someone will be able to upload this to any mirror (such as mega, they’re usually really good).
Unfortunately, when I go to uloz, I get the following:
Nemáte oprávnění k přístupu na tuto stránku. Obraťte se prosím na Vašeho poskytovatele internetového připojení, nechť nás kontaktuje na emailu technické podpory, situaci se budeme snažit řešit přímo s ním.
Which, paraphrasing google, says “go away, your ISP is banned” or so 😃, and I currently don’t have a spleen.

Or if anyone can donate a spleen, on another private tracker my ratio is listed as ~8.5 so I should be able to do a good job seeding.

Hint: Use the ultimate guide. It will help a long way.
