that sounds more like a trilogy of films that wouldve entertained more. by the way, qui gon wouldve been less useless had lucas retained his dialogue to yoda at the end of rots

yeah sure star wars, as originally written, couldve gone on for 12 movies, only lucas made vader lukes father, and it really limited that kind of story

i personally believe, which can be backed up by rolling stone mag and the making of star wars, and the numerous scripts published before empire, that star wars itself was only supposed to be an episodic adventure series much like indiana jones and that lucas changed it by making vader lukes father. gary kurtz kinda confirms this by saying they couldve made movies about any number of things featured in star wars. thats where we get the 12 part saga thing, because it was supposed to be more like a serial than what it ended up being.

i personally feel the prequels are alright thanks to the psychological insight lucas gave to anakin, other than that the prequels arent very fun to watch, and werent made with as much care as they could and shouldve been

lucas is the same man who made the prequels, which is why he'll never release the originals, he'd have to change the prequels too. i say dont give up on the cause just on general principle though. by the way, if he cut out greedo shoots first, or jar jar, i think he'd bring alot of people back to his side

i personally think lucas wasted nine years of our lives on his dreck. i'm sorry but when is all said and done i would rather forget the prequels
