This is my first go at a cover. But since I got my DVD Recorder and VCR combo, I've transfered this PBS special from tape to disc.

I'm kinda hesitant to put too much on the back of it since the artwork is so nice.

Very nice Harlock415. I think its perfect as it is. Any chance of a hi-res version. I don't have the disc but would like this cover ready if I ever get hold of it.

I dont have the cover but I do have this

Does anyone think a one epic edit of all the Back To The Futures could work? And I don't mean just link them all together one after the other. I mean start with Part I as normal but then when you get to Marty in the 50's you start seeing the relevent shots of Part II appearing, I'm a bit stuck after that I'm not sure wether to go back into the first film for the ending. Actually hang on it just isn't going to work is it? What would happen after you get to 2015. Oh forget it.

I see what you mean, hmm how about something then that takes the opening of Donner Superman and up til we see Supes for the first time fly from his fortress and see if it can be reconstructed with shots and scenes from Smallville, obviously the time on Krypton couldn't be done but all the time of Clark at home could be redone using the Smallville series. I'm not interested in putting it into any film I'd just like to see those scenes re-made with Smallive series footage.

I think I might just have been able to get my hands on a ROCKY V Workprint. Would anybody be interested in having a go at cleaning it up adn or making a DVD cover for it also? PM me.

Also I had an idea would anybody like to try and edit the scenes of Micky from V into the first film (being thats when they are supposed to have happened).

And I'd still like to see III featuring Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust", as originally intended, where “Eye of the Tiger” now is.

IV was the only movie of the series not to begin with the moving "Rocky" logo and Bill Conti music score. That I’d like fixed and have most of the score (if not all) replaced with Conti's.

Also in V I’d like most of the horrible early 90’s music removing and replacing with more of Bill Conti’s music and songs from I-IV instead, however the workprint apperantly has exactly that, being that the score and songs had yet to be finalised when the print was put together.

With all this added interest in Rocky at the moment would anybody be interested in a little edit of III, IV and/or V?

In III Stallone had originally intended for the film to feature Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust", where “Eye of the Tiger” now is. I’d like to see the film with the Queen track.

IV was the only movie of the series not to begin with the moving "Rocky" logo and Bill Conti music score. That I’d like fixed and have “Gonna Fly Now” over the training montage.

Also in V I’d like most of the horrible early 90’s music removing and replacing with more of Bill Conti’s music.

There is away to use both endings to AOD.

Here is how, You start with the Original ( unused ) ending, Ash drops one tomany drops, falls asleep, Then fade into the smart ending. As the smart ending fades out it crossfades into ash awaking as he dreamed it all up. Then ofcourse he gets out of the cave realizing he is in a post apopcolyptic future.

I think that was actually done on a German release or something.

Also, has anyone considered re-editing the old CR into an EON Bond? Since it'd be before DR. NO, it wouldn't really need a title sequence, and the music could sporadic while leading to the Bond theme by the end.

It might be able to re-edit that B/W feature into a prequel to the EON series. What do you say?

Try reading the thread from the start, A: you will get your answers and B: some things have already been asked

Army of Darkness - The Primitive Screwhead Edition (Released)

Going through all the officially released versions of this film and noticing so many differences has got me wondering about the workprint for Army of Darkness. Has anyone here actually seen a copy of the workprint for this film? I read somewhere that it was nearly 2 hours long. Were there any brief scenes or anything like that which didn't appear on any of the dvds? The special edition DVDs feature workprint footage of the original opening, the fight between Ash and Arthur, the original windmill sequence, and Ash recruiting Henry the Red - but was there anything else interesting in the workprint? - even brief trivial shots that aren't in any other version and lasted just for a few seconds?

If anyone has any information, then please post the information here or contact me.

This might be of some use, CLICK ME or this, NO, CLICK ME . . . or . . . HEY, OVER HERE

I propose a complete reedit of Ghostbusters, one that incorporates all of the deleted scenes on the DVD and then something that would require a lot of work. The Busting montage includes the scene that follows the capturing of Slimer scene. The montage would have to be totaly redone so this scene could be shown as it was intented.

It would be great if the full scene in which Winston and Ray meet the ghost at the Fort could be found because then the dream version of that scene could be removed from the montage segment and the scene where Ray and Winston are discussing doomsday could be put back to its correct placement which is, before the Fort scene.

Likewise does anyone know if any of the deleted scenes from Ghostbusters II exist? It would be great to incorporate scenes that exist in the trailer that are not in the film rearrange the montage and separate the scenes that existed as entities of their own. Also taking the shots over the end credits that were also unused in the final product.

I would even go so far as to want to utilize a technique used in such restoration projects as Fritz Lang’s Metropolis where pictures were used in segments where the film no longer existed. For the comic book adaptation of Ghostbusters II many if not all of the original scenes, as they were shot and originally intended to be seen in the movie, are faithfully put to paper.

At the end of the version shown in theatres, Slimer comes out from behind the Statue of Liberty and goes right into the camera (as he did at the end of the first film). The video version just ends with a pan up to the statue's head, then, a fade to black.

Two attempts by Louis to capture Slimer. The first involved several Kentucky Fried Chicken legs strung up to the firehouse ceiling. Slimer comes out and grabs a leg, and Louis pushes the button for the trap. The light comes out, but Slimer floats out of the way and the ceiling collapses, falling on Louis' desk. The second attempt involves Louis carrying a proton pack and faking a pizza delivery (“Oh, hello, Pizza Man! Oh, two larges! I only ordered one. Oh, pepperoni and pineapple. I guess I'll have to eat these both by myself”.) Slimer floats down from the ceiling, and Louis tries to shoot him with the proton pack. Slimer flies away, and the beam flies towards Janine carrying a stack of files, who casually steps aside of the beam.

Many scenes that were shown in theatres back in 1989 were cut when it was released on home video.
