Apparently there are already major spoilers for chapter 13 leaked, and they could start circulating round the internet before Friday. To anyone on social media, might be a good idea to start staying off it early (I am).
I don’t think those leaks are actually true. I checked the Star Wars Leaks subreddit, which is typically a reliable source of info, and they say the leaks are fake.

I mixed a few different sources and plug-ins I’ve gotten from work. It would be possible to release more without music, but I feel like Disney would chase that down if it got spread too far. Feels like unnecessary danger to sites like this.
I mean, it’s not like any of the fan edits and preservations here have experienced legal trouble yet. As long as you keep it to this site and don’t put it on YouTube or something, you should be fine.

Don’t bother. That version is probably the Special Edition that Lucas did in 2004, adding a bunch of terrible CGI that ruins the claustrophobic feel of the original. You can find the original version on archive.org if you want to see it.
Off the top of my head, I’d guess it was symbolism of the “triune God” represented by three colossal Star Destroyers/one colossal asteroid. Coupled with an allusion to ancient Byzantium, used to symbolize Heaven the way it does in some of WB Yeats’ poetry; since Byzantum’s two major chariot teams bore the colors Green and Blue, with the Emperor usually bestowing favors on the Blues rather than the Greens. And related to other stuff in the Lucasfilm vaults that uses this symbolism, eg, perhaps some WILLOW sequels.

What? No. It’s an error in the video transfer. Something wonky happened somewhere in the process of transferring the film to video and then producing the vhs copies. There’s no symbolism implied or intended. You often have very interesting ideas, but you also have a tendency to jump to way too many conclusions. There is absolutely ZERO evidence to support any kind of symbolism. The fact that the blue lasers only exist in a few shots of one particular home video release, where they are green in the vast majority of releases (including the actual theatrical 35mm prints I bet!) points to it being nothing more than an accidental flub.

She is not in every project he works on. She was not in Resistance. Also, I wouldn’t say being a supporting character in just a few episodes of Rebels would constitute shoehorning. Her popularity makes it seem like she’s everywhere because she is frequently mentioned, but shes mostly just in The Clone Wars.
I completely forgot about Resistance, actually (I think everyone has). And I guess she really isn’t in that much of Rebels, but the thing that set me over the edge of “This character is clearly the author’s favorite” is when Ezra traveled back in time in order to save her from Darth Vader. Like, she didn’t need to survive past that fight, it was a perfect end for her character. But Filoni contrived the situation so that he can break the rules of space and time in order to save his author’s pet.

I’m sure she can die, but It would be hard for a character as popular as you’ve mentioned Ahsoka is to overstay her welcome.
I actually don’t know if she can die. Besides the aforementioned time travel, there’s also the moment in TROS where she spoke to Rey. It made it seem like she died, but then Filoni was like “No, she actually survives past TROS,” and Ahsoka’s dialogue was retconned in the subtitles to “Female Jedi #4.” That also made me wonder if Filoni will ever just let this character rest. And I do think it’s possible for a popular character to overstay their welcome, and that’s generally what’s happening with me for Ahsoka.
Dave Filoni sticking his OC absolutely everywhere is obnoxious, especially when it goes so far from where her character has any right to be.

Sorry to break it to you, but Ahsoka isn’t real. Dave Filoni is real, however, and he seems intent on shoehorning Ahsoka into every project he works on. I get that he feels proud of creating such a popular character, but putting her everywhere and making it so that she can never die causes her to overstay her welcome somewhat.

Jedi fading away when they die is a stupid concept and has been since Day 1.
I gotta agree with that. The idea feels way too cheesy for me, and was clearly just done to make the movies more kid-friendly.
Order 66 is one of the weakest scenes in an already weak film. The Jedi are way too easily dispatched, and don’t fade when they die. Vader can’t “hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights” if all of them are dispatched this easily.
I mean, they had an explanation for why they don’t fade. Qui-Gon was the first Jedi to learn how to become a ghost, and he passed that information down to Yoda and Obi-Wan.
I’m also really looking forward to some of the possibilities in the future of this show. They’re really exploring the Star Wars universe in a way previously unseen in live action Star Wars content.
But I highly doubt they’ll kill Ahsoka, and especially not Baby Yoda. Ahsoka is basically Filoni’s self-insert fanfic character, and Baby Yoda has become one of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise. Neither one of them are gonna die. And I really hope the cloning thing they’re teasing has nothing to do with Snoke or Palpatine, because I prefer to just ignore the sequels as much as possible. The Dark Trooper tease at the end of the episode gives me hope that it will be something related to that.

I’m pretty sure those guys aren’t actually Snoke, their scars are completely wrong. They’re certainly meant to be evocative of the Snoke clones, but probably just to clue in the audience “Oh yeah, dark science and cloning is going on here.” My guess is that Gideon is trying to build an unstoppable army of Force-sensitive clones, as hinted by the rows of immobile troopers in the final scene of the episode.
Plus getting anyone to do an impression that blends seamlessly will be a tall order at best. Look at how split everyone here is on the Knights of Ren voices, and those don’t have to replicate and work within/around an existing performance.
Yeah. If anyone here remembers Ivan Ortega’s TLJ edit, then they’ll remember what happened when he tried to have someone replace a few of Luke’s lines. It didn’t sound good or blend with the original lines at all. I’m afraid that any attempt by non-professional voice actors to impersonate characters will suffer from similar problems.
And I’ve heard of that AI voice simulator, but from the samples I heard it doesn’t sound like it’s ready yet. It has this sort of uncanny valley effect that makes it weird to listen to.
Ignoring the Expanded Universe, what would you imagine about the history of the Yavin Temple?
Well, I certainly wouldn’t think it was a Sith temple like it was in the EU, because that would make it really weird for the Rebels to settle there. I would imagine it would be something similar to the Mayan temple where they actually shot those scenes: an ancient structure left behind by a religious cult that has since disappeared.
Well, I think the difference between Snoke and Palpatine is that Palpatine didn’t exactly need a reason for existing. He was powerful with the dark side, he was the emperor of the galaxy, that was all we needed to know.
But Snoke, on the other hand, definitely needed a reason for existing. Palpatine was supposed to be the last Sith, and it was never even hinted that there might be other Sith more powerful than him. So when Snoke gets introduced, it just feels like the writers pulling a new threat out of their behinds. If you’re gonna undo the destruction of the Sith and have a guy even more powerful than Palpatine pop out of nowhere, you better have a good reason for it. I don’t want a long-winded technical explanation, just something that could cause this new enemy’s existence to make sense.
I usually just call it ANH/Episode 4. I think given the context of the greater saga it makes more sense.
