Man of Steel - Your thoughts
Time

Heath Ledger's Joker was a very unique interpretation, and the actor's untimely death added to the hype.

What used to make Lex interesting was that he was someone who believed Superboy wronged him, and had a lifelong grudge. That went out the window in subsequent reboots of the DC universe. Lex has been more like an evil Donald Trump in more recent incarnations.

One reason behind the Spidey movie reboot is if the studio doesn't crank out a movie in a certain time frame, the rights lapse. Sony is going to milk the webhead for all they can get, before letting Disney get him back.

If they want a compelling villain we haven't seen in a Supes movie before, and someone Superman can fight toe to toe, there's only one way to go, and that's Darkseid. There probably saving him for the Justice League flick though.

Info: Recommended Editions of Disney Animated (and Partially Animated) Features
Time

Many Disney projects were deemed to have educational value (they also made animated health and safety films) and were rented or sold to schools and other institutions on 16mm as well.

What do you darn kids think we watched before there were VCR's? ;)

That '82 Fantasia print might be useful for this project...

5. Clones as Enemies of the Republic from the start. Also, they're clones of extinct evil alien races thought to have been long gone. Not Boba fetts dad (Boba doesn't appear at all)

6. The army of the republic being human conscripts.

Oh and yes, I get a headache when I see clone troopers. I think clone troopers are boring and stupid concept. I just wouldn't want any kind of clone armies. Clone Wars should only get the name after some incident involving cloning.

Much like the whole "Vader fought with Obi Wan and fell in a lava pit" story every fan picked up by osmosis, stormtroopers were thought to be all clones in the old days.

Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams **NON SPOILER THREAD**

Yeah, we've seen that already. ;)

Carrie was on the Daytime Emmys recently, and she looks good! The rest of the gang are in good shape for their age as well. If Christopher Lee could do a SW film in his early 80's, I don't see any problems.

What the hell is this thing?

Okay. Time to show another thrift store find.

Joystick

The only things printed on it are "PRESS", "LOCK", "OPEN", and "MADE IN HONG KONG". The round part on the bottom (The part that says "PRESS") can be turned to lock/open so that the cord can be wrapped around, and tucked away in the base. There's a little black button on top of the handle, and a large rectangular red button on the base.

I have no idea who made it, or what it's called....besides being a 'joystick'.

It appears to be an Atari 2600 compatible joystick. Atari wasn't as strict as Nintentdo about third party products, so there were a lot of companies making all sorts of controllers. The fringe benefit was competitors such as Colecovision could use the same sticks too.

msycamore hasn't been on in over a week, so I hope nothing is amiss.

In the meantime, this was too cool not to share...

Just the thing to keep your classic GI Joes, or Large Size SW figures from rebelling against authority. ;)
