Bad cell phone footage.
Bad cell phone footage.
Depends on what side of the pond you're on. ;)

Padme, could you edit the title of this thread to reflect that this is a rumor, not a definite fact yet? Thanks!
I'm willing to bet my Original theatrical cut of the OT to be released on blu ray!! that you can do it with mod powers.
Yes, but I always like asking first. :)

I'd also love to hear the mono mix after all these years.
Puggo Grande has the mono mix.
It didn't sell, (and it's factory sealed) so maybe the seller still has it?
Might this be it?
Yvonne Craig wouldn't be caught dead in that outfit. It's too cluttered, and the eye holes are too damn big. Don't get me started on those damn work boots. Those shoelaces are going to be her downfall. They cry out for the Joker to tie them together.
The only way this outfit gets a pass, is if it's her first attempt at a costume and she upgrades along the way.
I need to look at a real Batgirl now to cleanse my eyes...

Ah, much better!
If they followed the release pattern of the SE's in 1997, there could be plenty of time.

That is the most abstract minimalist Bat logo I've ever seen. Where are these screenshots from anyway?

Oh, yeah. I'd forgotten I'd seen that posted on facebook. I'm surprised no one else has commented on this. No love for T'Pring? Eh, then again, she was kind of a gold-digger bitch... or at least the Vulcan equivalent of one. =P

The ROTJ SE celebrations had Naboo added on Blu Ray, and the Jedi temple was added to the Coruscant skyline.
Palpatine had it converted into a Hooters though. ;)
None of these rumor mills are run by journalists. The ethics and rules real journalists live (and die) by don't apply. And if the baloney being passed off as facts don't pan out a year or two later, who's going to dig it up and complain?
It's all about the hits they get when people click on them.
I recently watched the movie Shattered Glass, about a rising star journalist, Phillip Glass, who fabricated articles for a respected publication in the 1990's. A person like Glass would probably have a blog today, (with a lot of blind followers eating up every word) with nobody fact checking or questioning the veracity of their work.
Coppola did have the Apocalypse Now neg cut to make Redux though?
People are getting lax about not posting bloated gifs and skirting the rules again. Please review.

This Reddit thread is so fucking depressing. Why, you ask?
1. The number of people convinced that the OUT was completely destroyed.
2. The number of people who want some Frankenstein'sMonster-esque mishmash of OUT and SE.
3. "Weren't the originals released on DVD in 2006?"... 'nuff said.
4. The (surprising) number of people who think selling an LD->BD rip would be acceptable.
5. The presence of the token "People still buy physical media???!" guy.
And, to a lesser extent...
6. The obsession over the ownership of the distribution rights.
I don't expect everyone to be like us, but I just don't understand these people.
I'm going to bed. -_-
Ugh, there was an article about the distribution rights on badass digest that made my blood boil. The author thought Fox literally owned the actual movies for some reason. I left a comment correcting him and he posted back several times saying I was wrong and that Fox still owned them and always would. I had to actually post a link to a '98 article saying that Lucas finally acquired rights to the original Star Wars film, but I got no response to that of course -_-
I personally don't find the Reddit depressing because they all pretty much have one thing in common (no matter how distorted their facts are) they want to see the OUT released, and that's what will encourage Disney to release the OUT, demand, regardless of the peoples' confusion :)
"Badasses" are never wrong. ;)

1. The smoke and mirrors we got from Lucasfilm the past 17 years has done it's job far too well.
2. George, is that you, and your socks?
3. 2006? Where the heck are they getting that from?
4. They have probably never even watched a Laserdisc on modern display, if they even know what an LD is. ;)
5. The people I know who stream pretty much everything complain bitterly about the fees they pay for going over their limit for the month. ;)
6. Some latent fear a loophole exists that will go around George's wishes?
Sleep well, and don't worry about clueless people on the internet.
The one thing in our favor is Disney needs a marketing "hook" to sell people beyond the fanbase on buying the movies again, only a few years after the first Blu Ray release from Fox, and the more recent combo packs. (Neither trilogy has ever really been out of print since the first DVD releases.)
Putting Empire of Dreams and Star Wars to Jedi:The Making of a Saga, and any other "lost" extras in would be great, but it's too esoteric to be a selling point to the larger audience awaiting Episode 7.
The originals are really the only trump card left to play.
No problem.
We have a thread about it here...

Luke going dark has been done twice already. ;)
Every one of these websites has a shadowy, mysterious, "source" of information. Best to take it all with a grain of salt the size of a Volkswagen. ;)
I think I've seen that one show up on ebay, but you'll have to sift through a lot of listings in the hopes of finding it.
If something is up, they may save an actual public announcement until Celebration next year.

Either that Terminator is very big or Vader's helmet is very small. Also, wasn't his helmet and mask at least two separate pieces?
Yes, but they probably "seal" together whether Vader was wearing it or not. This could also be ancient Sith armor from which Vader's look came from.
This fellow seems to have a more skull like visage that a robotic one to me.
I'm also reminded of this...
