X0 and X9 are too rich for me, which is why I use a nearly bottom-of-the-barrel LD player for my Disney preservation projects. :/

In English the quotes are usually "both on top"...

French seems to prefer «this kind of quotes», and the bottom/top quote I've seen in German also.

Now that we have the WIP LD of Beauty and the Beast, it won't be long before we start authoring that... just want to collect a couple more things to add as bonus features.

My intention is to make a 2 disc (drf wants to do 3) with the OTV, WIP, (these both differ from the DVD release) 4 Sing-Along Songs, and all the bonus features from the laserdiscs. (Probably adding the Celine Dion/Peabo Bryson music video from the R1.)

And I've seen the "Basil the GMD" credits... I still wonder what the OTV OP looked like.

I thought I remembered seeing him light the saber in the room with the kids then hearing screams, but I may misremember.

Hm. Anyone got sources for the underlying videos?

I might attempt a best of breed raw/ntsc anamorphic myself, but I recall torrents of these rips (e.g., G'kar, Reivax) aren't exactly easy to come by.

Been gathering R1 rips. You know, just in case Disney screws with their own movies again.

People have been saying Fox and the Hound is P&S, I don't seem to think it is. It looks open-matte to me, it looks too wide-open on the top and bottom to be P&S.

I'm saving all the VOBs I get in case they're useful. My friend is also archiving.

Apparently there is a different title card for Great Mouse Detective that doesn't say "The Adventures Of" ? I wonder if it's been archived anywhere as apparently only an altered title card is on all US releases since 1991.

To make it clear, I'm talking recreating a mix, prolly from the 1997 and 2004 5.1s, combined with the 1.0, and possibly with the foreign dubs and whatever else, and laid out in 5.1 - not a simple 2.0 upsampling with 1.0 elements.
