Just got my hands on a few more laserdiscs.  I'm handing off to a friend to cap with better equipment and am considering (as per communication with drfsupercenter) handing them off to another person here to cap on even better equipment.  I really want to see the best possible preservations done, however it may be achieved.

I use that pronunciation of Avisynth.

I think what Molly means is that perhaps it's easier to take a default or sort of standard audio track that is already synced to video (so the First Contact Blu-ray's audio) and sync the DTS Cinema rip to that.  Sync it to that, and it'll naturally sync to the video as well.  This is how I did it on Jurassic Park 3D and it worked pretty well and was easy.

As we know, the hard part with this DTS project is cutting and splicing the reels together.  I continue to try and teach myself how to do this.

That's how I do most of my synchs, and I've done a LOT.

I find it easier to synch audio to...other audio.

Some releases (I think Spanish and Catalan?) used the equivalent of "The War of the Galaxies".

Current WOWOW can be delogoed nicely... I think that was less so of old WOWOW but I've done it (e.g., my encode of the Holic movie and the sub of the first episode of the live-action series I encoded).

That might be worth doing in some cases, for some films?

At the time I used Avidemux.

These days I use avspmod/megui, with sometimes Avidemux for scanning through the original video track. (This is what I was using for Robotech.)

I burned out hard working on this a while ago but it's something I'd like to go back to.  Especially since I could theoretically give it a huge quality boost if I just gutted it and started over. :/

I capped a tape of that a few years back.  Can't seem to find my rip of it though.

I might still have the tape somewhere.
