Different people have different ideas of the best way to clean stuff up, and some people like their sources warty. Can't say I blame them.

There is something to be said about watching a warty scan in its raw state, though - if it's done well and looks like the real thing, it could be utter crap (as in worse than those 8mm scans) and you'd still get this vibe from it, because you can feel the filmicness of it.  And these are really good despite the dirt, noise and excess grain.

With some primp and polish, it would be easy to beat the pants off the GOUT in every regard.

I'll see what I can find, but my stash of dvdisos isn't exactly easy to seek through :/.
