STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

While I love the colour correction, I'm actually inclined to think that the original buildings and sky in the background look better.

It's not a technical detail, but I just think that the original designs of those buildings together with the beautiful blue sky and pearl-white clouds look more inviting than the soft-white buildings from the new shots.

Maybe it's because it looks more surreal (fairytale-like) but I just don't like this new background much.

I'm not saying that the original background couldn't use some sprucing up, but maybe you will consider leaving it more as it was before?

Anyway, just my thoughts :)

I think Star Wars should be completely devoid of any transparent, floating, 3D projection computer interfaces. I cannot stress how much I HATE those things. It seems like every science fiction movie that's come out in the last decade just falls back on that concept, with no attempt at originality. I'll take a computer like Mother from Alien over any TF3DPCI (like my new acronym?) any day of the week... at least it felt like a real computer.

I don't know if Ady can do anything to remove/tone down some of those floating GUIs in the prequels, but I'd cringe if one found its way into the OT. As far as I'm concerned, holographic technology in the Star Wars universe should be limited to visual projections only (i.e., recordings, schematics) not user interfaces like in the above picture.

I couldn't agree more, the designs of Star Wars are timeless. I hope Ady isn't even considering putting these things in.

Personally I think it would be a little too convenient for Luke's hand/lightsaber to be falling down the same shaft he does, not to mention at about the same time even though there must've been at least a minute between it being cut off and Luke jumping.

And why would the hand still be holding on to the lightsaber, it's not impossible I suppose but certainly improbable.

I think it would be best if it was just a piece of the metal vane or something.

Adywan, I know this project is being done in 720p but I came across this screenshot in this thread:

Why does it say 1024x576 instead of 1280x720? At first I thought it was because you started this project with the intent to do it in SD but that would be 720x576.

So what, you wouldn't even notice unless you already knew about it and paused the movie at that exact moment.

I think this is getting a bit *too* nitpickish.

Fixing continuity errors and bad FX is one thing, but now you're in Lucas territory.

Well that's one way to look at it LG.

Another is that Adywan has previously incorporated many very subtle fixes in his work already. While not everything is a biggie, these little details can help to really polish the look of everything overall, if achievable, I reckon. And as this is something that I do notice during the shot, I'm hoping it's one that can be sorted.

....and Monroville for the win in this instance! He correctly saw that I was meaning the small section of 'fleshy skin' that is seen just below the green area that Davnes700 highlighted on the C3PO shot. :)

You really need to see this shot in motion, but it definately seems as if the black 'body stocking' got ripped at this point between the gold parts of the costume.

Seraphyn, I didn't realise you were referring to something you may be doing for Adywan, but he does indeed want to keep a few things under wraps for now. So best to check with him before you mention/show anything to do with what you are involved with. Interesting....

Yes I know, and I *am* glad with Ady's fixing of continuity errors so far. But I don't think this is all that noticeable.

I mean come on, we've spent almost an entire page posting magnified screenshots and repeating GIFs of the scene just to point out what this supposed error is. Who's going to do that in the middle of watching a Star Wars film?!
