In defense of Lapti Nek... I always felt that it functions as background music for Jabba's Palace, whereas Jedi Rocks is just in-your-face, over-the-top and annoying.

Yes, Lapti Nek is a cheesy song, but it doesn't really draw your attention away from the action/creatures on the screen. Jedi Rocks on the other hand, is just prequel-level awful!

I'm interested to see whatever you have in mind, Ady.

Back to ESB:R, love the new detail of the shot. Can't wait to see it all come together for the arrival at Cloud City.

I love Lapti Nek.

Considering the time it takes to power up those cannons, and the fact that they look more like projectiles, they might not even be lasers.

Maybe they too are some sort of plasma/ion projectile, which would explain the rainbow colours since it would change as the projectile heats up.

Though I personally wouldn't mind if they were made into regular red laserbolts :)

Adywan, as to the suggestion of releasing it as a beta first, I fully understand that you don't want to ruin the surprise. But maybe you could send a few copies to people who've helped with this edit, just so there's a couple more people to spot possible errors?

This isn't a way to get me on that exclusive list, but people like Darth Editious, Vaderios and doubleofive have certainly contributed with stuff like mockups and such.

It would be a shame if after only one day you catch some stupid little oversight.

Ady, I know someone on another forum who had a similar problem when disabling UAC, here's what she did:

If I remember correctly it was basically my whole e drive that kept telling me "you do not have permission" as well as "you do not have access" to do whatever. That included renaming stuff, moving stuff and just in general it wouldn't let me do squat. In my humble opinion, while I understand mr. gates trying to move society to a secure ownership, there is still a large percentage of puter owners that dont give a flying leap about security and would prefer to BE the owner and administrator by default of everything without any blocks or tweaks that need to be accounted for. This should mean that you have access to everything and all things without having to rename or reown or reestablish yourself as having rights.

anyway.. i will stop my rant. In short, you have to take ownership of the directory and its subdirectories, and you have to give yourself permissions for the directory and its subdirectories.

So... I did three things:

Right click on my e drive / properties / security tab / edit button
... IN here I made sure that all Groups or user names had access to everything and full control. Highlight the group or name, and then make sure the "allow" column has everything checked.

Right click on my e drive / properties / security tab / advanced button / Permissions tab
... IN here I clicked "change permissions", then highlighted each of the groups and users in the window, and manually edited each to have "full control" for "This folder, subfolders and files".

Right click on my e drive / properties / security tab / advanced button / Owner tab
... IN here I clicked the "edit" button, highlighted "Owner (Owner-PC\Owner)" (which is me I assume), I then checkmarked the box "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" and hit apply.

THIS will stop those pesky access and permissions things from popping up. Let me know how it goes!

Victoria

Hope this helps :)

Well my account is an admin account and i am the only user on the PC but if i disable UAC then thats when i run into permission issues. I just hate that almost everything i try to do i get a bloody popup box asking me if i want to do it.

When you've disabled UAC you can right-click the folder(s) that's giving you troubles and go to the Security tab, maybe if you set permissions for you as a user instead as an administrator it won't prompt you anymore?

You might have to do this before turning off UAC so it prompts you to execute this as an Administrator.

Also, if you keep getting popups, are you sure you turned UAC off correctly?

EDIT: Just to clarify, even when you log on as an administrator Windows will log you on together with two tokens. One with all the administrator rights and one with standard (restricted) rights.

So you normally operate under the standard token and when you want to install a program or apply system-wide changes UAC will ask for your permission and exectute these tasks with the administrator token.

That's why you get these prompts even when you're logged on as an administrator.
