I gotta fight now against all this to still enjoy the movie! hahaha.

At least until ESB:R comes out and all of those little goofs are fixed!

sooo right dude, so right. ImpFighter certainly pulled a very almost academic post to the whole thing, I'm amazed at the guy! Good thing Ady got it perfectly and everything is on cruise control now...

005, pretty much what the others have mentioned, now I dunno if this happens to you guys, but after someone points out something you hadn't caught on, from then on that's the only thing you can focus in that scene! LOL! I gotta fight now against all this to still enjoy the movie! hahaha.

Ady, are you going to fix 3PO's head's back side (actually, Anthony Daniel's "face") when Chewbacca is fixing him in the prison cell at Cloud City?

They tried to sort of fix it in 2004 DVD, but they left the job unfinished...

Screen captures here and here

I just checked on that...as someone said before: these forums make me feel like so unattentive.....like a lousy fan. (BTW back after an almost year-long abssence, glad to see the ammount of pages DOUBLED while I was gone  :P)

I like the new Ady screen shot. The whole Galaxy-Star debate left out the "Rishi (sp?) Maze" revision done in PT, and as someone cleverly pointed out, the whole thing is to represent the metaphor: "needle in a haystack"; Han is gone, and they don't know where, and their haystack is HUGE, so the unsurmountable task is presented visually like that.

I'm happy they didn't shoot Luke unhooking his saber, it would have detracted from his cooler appearance, you see him much more as a growing Jedi than a "running-half-cocked" farmboy now; Leia could've looked a little sadder, but anyway, they are fine.

I was more intrigued by someone else's (sorry I forgot your name!) idea about back in cloud city have movement/action happening around the Slave I as Leia races against time to save Han, sort of like to up the stakes at, as he said, how close she came to be. What do you guys think?

I'm just curious, has there been any moment in the film that hasn't been argued about in this thread?

Hmm, that's a good question, I actually had to think a while about it. I don't recall anyone arguing about the part in the movie where Zev Senesca finds Han and Luke in the snow.

Yeah, you're right. What unnecessary alterations can we think of for this shot?

hahaha maybe adding in Yoda's hut some picture of the Jedi Temple in Coruscant... :P

I had a cool visual idea, what do you guys think? maybe Ady will like it. Hoth, after the battle, a scene that shows the transports getting out.

We see one transport already in space, we see a couple near Luke's X-Wing and at the end we see MF leaving the empty hangar with Vader just gazing at his Epic Failure, how about a scene in that hangar but all the people rushing out? with the ships departing....

Let the turbolasers roarr hehehe

LOL VHSs are those little black rectangle things that people used to put in different kinds of play boxes when they wanted to watch a movie.

YES KIDO! before they ruin Soundwave! Cassette player, Do you know it? fuck I - pods or tri - pods!

Technology raped our childhood :(

Laserbeak eject!

Angel, I get the impression that you didn't like Soundwave's incarnation in the latest movie, it's an update to his function in the series...

005: I found ANH:R because of a friend that read about it on the web, came here and found out about it. Fun ride. Funny place, Funner people. Also I haven't touched the 2004 DVDs again, ANH:r Does it for me.

The Snowspeeder flaps idea sounds great, it will give the ships more "life"...I'm up for it.

It seemed apparent to me (before the PT) that Yoda and the Emperor both had reached a level of force prowess where a saber was no longer necessary. Yoda of course would want Luke to be able to defend himself, but his main focus should be mind over matter.

I believe JasonN is of this same impression, and as you say before PT I was too of this school of thought, and the subject of lightsabering I could stretch it as far as Yoda controlling the saber with his mind and moving it telekinetically while he remains static in a trance-like position and the saber is breaking all hell loose.....of course GL had a different vision of the venerable master...

Under this vision ESB with a floating fighting saber would have been much easier to accomplish optically instead of having the puppet go "Jackie Chan" on us like in AOTC (creating that weird double take: 1 min Jackie Chan Vs Dooku, the next: the old master again)

HAHAHAHA lucky you Angel....I still have to wait till tomorrow to catch midnight madness here in "the country that is farthest from" the action!

On the torture topic I envisioned mabe it could be the heat haze/flare similar to what you see behind jet engines the background moves around because of the warm air coming out, something like that near the machine, but I must admit I also thought all this time it was torture through electricity

What you call his obssesion with symmetry is something he has explained that in operas you have repeating themes, and he seems to be fond of the idea, which by the way is not specific to Star Wars, Back to The Future also uses this license to point out that history tends to repeat itself, something you can see also in the Terminator Movies (pictures of which I see in your signature).

IMHO I find it interesting to see the repeating themes and parallelisms....

Oh_riginal, I see your point now (thank for the screencaps) it's not the boost effect but rather the fire that trails into nowhere....mmmm....ok...maybe something could be done....now I'm not close to photoshop right now to wip up some ideas....I dunno if the Man for the Job could be Angel as he does some great stuff....(as Darth Solo so rightly put it, his mock-ups are definitely a must see here!)

One of the things I always hated about the Star Wars Books/comics is that they made the Bounty Hunters seem like a mix of SWAT-trained, Special-Forces hardened, know-it-all, tech-geniuses rebellious superheroes and that bothered me.....being Boba Fett the main representation of that approach. Boba was an orphan clone who had to learn the ropes on his own, if he was clever to piece the trajectory of the MF better than the imperial officers who had the might of the Empire behind them, that was just (I think) a once in a lifetime break, since in ROTJ he fails miserably to stop a half trained Jedi like Luke. It really is hard to imagine how the Imperials with all their computers couldn't just plot a trajectory or have a sensor to detect the MF there, but still.....Boba was by no means infallible.
