Whew! in the time I've been away there certainly has been a lot going on. From models lost in the PO (apalling!), to Leia and Luke not being twins, to prequel lightsabers, to The Great Vane discussion, to the MF interiors...after reading everything I wanted to comment on the prequel Jedi, BUT since this is not the place to discuss it I'll wait until pops up again, hehe.
I will only say on the Vane thing that it was confusing where the carbon chamber is, Ady's explanation is good enough, I see the whole Cloud City part of the movie as more a series of visual metaphors not governed by the laws of logic: Going to a place in the clouds where everything is shiny and nice on the outside but rotten inside like a grave....like a trap, and then the Carbon Freezing chamber (and sequence) to be a more of a descending into the "Belly of the Beast", "Vader's Lair" if you will for Luke to meet his enemy only to be put between a rock and a hard place (or endless chasm!) for the ultimate sacrifice....in that vein, the sets can be confusing because they are going more for visuals and impact rather that perfectly planned environments...my 2 cents.
