Might need some audio work.

That’s pretty terrifying. But in a good way. Damn. Could you put that on her eyes in her vision toward the beginning of the film? Where she’s sitting on the throne?
Also, I think Nev may appreciate your help on Starlight for this effect. Unless they want a more subtle approach over there.
See the YouTube link in my previous post. I placed it right before Snap interrupts Leia and Rose about the attack on Pasanna.
Also, I put about 18 mins of Mark’s character from the World War Z audio book into it, and it’s a mixed bag. Sometimes it sounds like him, and other times it doesn’t. The good news is that 6 audio books are coming out on the 21st that are read completely by him. I believe they are fantasy stories.
It appears Mark Hamill has done some audio books. This is good news, because I created Leia’s fantastic voice clone using a similar sample.
Do we have any ideas on something Luke should say?
Okay, I swear this is the last Leia line suggestion I have for TROS: https://youtu.be/3xqmTIzKMqQ

It just makes it so that Rose storming away makes sense; she was already done speaking with Leia.
Take your pick:

I prefer the second one because there is some fear in her voice. Not sure how well it lines up, though.
EDIT: After running it a bunch more times I finally got a similar result to the one you’re referring to - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1na_xpnguljFN-DQ0dKYdNtOQHFgtaDem/view?usp=sharing
I apologize in advance for the proceeding wall of text.

Come Home (just snip off the “Ben” at the end if not needed): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oElcMQVBPJK6z0e1nYqeD0cbmRDdtnvN/view?usp=sharing
And I’m not sure if you’ve seen this from the deepfakes thread yet Hal, but I posted this Leia line a few days ago before all of these other ones: https://youtu.be/-LzqBD8--H4

The best part is the line retroactively makes Rey saying “I am a Jedi” to Palpatine extremely impactful. She is finally no longer afraid of who she is: she knows she’s a Jedi like Leia told her. So she calls that lightsaber to her hand and ends Palpatine once and for all.
Here’s that audio, then: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yHQoZ9JB-lHGGKcFGbUlUkWDVadcu5dZ/view?usp=sharing
NGL, this next one made me a tad emotional: https://youtu.be/pCgy9iZkKLc
Which would be better: “he’s too dangerous” or “Palpatine’s too dangerous”?
EDIT: Here is the first one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4AnWnn2YPU
Since Palpatine has so many syllables, it lengthens the line possibly too much. Also, I like how this line is a subtle callback to ROTS.
The novelization says both. It adds the whole thing about her saying she needs to train, and then in her thoughts she realizes Palpy turned Ben and Anakin and could do the same to Rey. So he’s too dangerous for her.
I could try that out later tonight. I guess the deciding factor between the two is whether we want to reflect Leia’s familial bond with Rey or have a callback to ESB.
Here are two line options that would allow us to reinstate the full version of Rey’s conversation with Leia about finding Palpatine without the conversation seeming too awkward:
Option 1 (my preference) - https://youtu.be/WMr5IPxpQmE
Option 2 - https://youtu.be/WdsVTJOhSiQ
It would require a different pronunciation for sure, and you’re probably right that it simply isn’t worth the effort. Thanks for trying, though!
As for 3PO, Poe, and Rey, I’m not sure what the problem is in generating them. If Eleven labs truly hasn’t changed anything, then 3PO and Rey might be hopeless. This is because they admit that the generator has an issue with accents, in addition to the fact that Anthony Daniels paces his words in a very unique way with 3PO. For Poe, we’d just need to locate audio samples of Oscar Isaac speaking in a slower, less yelling-ish way. So basically an inside voice.
Okay, at this point I’m fairly certain eleven labs nerfed their own product at some point yesterday. Threepio sounds terrible, and I just tried using my Kylo voice again and it isn’t the same whatsoever.
I love that! This movie has a problem with walking back on any risks it takes. Fortunately, the LEGO TFA files for 3PO are very extensive and articulated well. I’ll get started on it.
EDIT: Also, how about this for Leia’s “come home” Force projection? Obviously it would need reverb but I can add like 5 seconds of silence to the end of it to allow that: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oElcMQVBPJK6z0e1nYqeD0cbmRDdtnvN/view?usp=sharing
One line that’s always bothered me is “What girl?” from Kylo. It implies that Kylo is aware of a girl from Jakku that could be a threat. I’m fairly certain this is residual from Duel of the Fates, because in that episode 9 it’s revealed Kylo killed her parents and left her there. What would be a suitable replacement for this line?
If I can find 5+ minutes of good 3PO dialogue I’ll give it a shot!
Would you be willing to slot in “Captain Hux” at some point, Hal? It’s not that what we currently have isn’t natural sounding, but there is a bit of audio popping/distortion between the two words.
What if instead of Poe delivering all of the report we had Leia do most of it? Not sure how this would work exactly, but it may be worth a try.
EDIT: Scrap that, there doesn’t appear to be enough visual material.
I actually think it’s “they paid for your protection” that sounds a little off. Mostly because the second line sounds like Adam so much. The line delivery I was going for was more of something that he is saying aloud to himself after realizing the irony of what he just said.
EDIT: After listening a few more times, both sound fine. Not sure if I’m just convincing myself of that or what lol.
The TFA lines + Disney Infinity lines is about 10 minutes of content. Here is what the program says about this: “Sample quality is more important than quantity. Noisy samples may give bad results. Providing more than 5 minutes of audio in total brings little improvement.”
Eh, using all of those made little improvement. I’m not sure what it is. Probably the fact that he isn’t using a conversational voice in hardly any of his lines.
Ah, it’s because he doesn’t even voice his character in Battlefront!
I’ve sourced all of my previous work from the Lego game already (minus Leia, that was 2 and a half hours of Carrie reading her book). I’ll drop in the 5 minutes from battlefront now.
