The same goes for your apparent presumption that these lines, if spoken, would be presented in any way other than the dull, lifeless manner in which all the other lines in the PT are spoken.

Furthermore, are you telling me that two lines, written exactly the same way, in two different films are both going to be conveyed the same way? Focusing solely on what's written on paper is not helping your argument at all.

Glass half full/half empty.

No, I could be wrong. They could be delivered as wonderfully as "TheyaremyfriendstheywilldieifIdon't" or "andsacrficeHanandLeia".

What's so freakin' screwy about that?

Entirely too much. Regarding Padme's will to live, there is no way that anybody who wants their kids would just lose the will to live once they're born. This was written by a man who has adopted his children, as Lucas has, and does not have biological children of his own. Unless Padme just didn't want these kids (which, in no way, comes across in this film), the sheer nature of having children would give somebody a reason to live, not to die. If she was mortally wounded, it could have believed it that she simply survived long enough for her children to live.

Equate it to someone who is forced to have the children from a rape.

Yeah, what Chaltub said. Basically, before the dialogue change, I assumed the Emperor saw Luke as the next in line. Then after the dialogue change, that still stood, but my belief that Vader didn't know about his son was changed. Now, after ROTS, the story plays out, Vader learns of his son from Palpatines admission in the transmission, and then tells Luke that the Emperor has foreseen that he can kill the Emperor. Not that the Emperor wishes it to be so, but that the Emperor even admits that Luke can do it. Thus, now Vader wants his son to join him to actually knock of the Emperor and not as some ploy to trick Luke to take him back to Palpatine.

Now don't bombard me with PMs, but once I recieve my disc (If it is indeed coming), I am planning on making some copies for friends. When I'm burning these, I have no problem doing this for 5 members or so from here, just one stipulation. I'm not going to get in trouble with Lucasfilm, so, you must own a copy of the 2004 DVD and want this as a backup. That's my only stipulation.

Also, DE....I never asked. Did you restore the old school 20th Century Fox and LFL logos?

Right, but before ROTS, I thought it was completely retarded. Now, atleast it makes sense. Seems out of place, but makes sense.

If anything, Luke's arrival hindered their escape because they had to go back for him.

Um, no. Lando cowered everytime Vader said anything to him. Lando only stood up to the Empire when Vader was distracted. If Vader had been walking with the Stormtroopers to the shuttle, I don't think Lando could have found enough courage, even if it was out of the bottom of a Colt .45.

And something that I know for sure no one else has addressed in this thread... Luke was talking about the Imperial Academy when speaking of Biggs and Tank. They joined the Imperial Academy, and that's where Luke was aiming to go as well. But in that Biggs on Tatooine scene that was cut out of the movie, Biggs informs Luke that, the next chance he gets, he's going to defect to the Rebel Alliance. Who's to say that Tank does the same thing, though? As for Tanks's whereabouts when Luke is reunited with Biggs on Yavin? He could be an Imperial officer for all we know!

That's a good point, but you'd think Luke would bring him up when talking to Biggs about Tattoine. Oh well, just one of those things.

Here's a continuity error, but it's a simple one that happens in all films:
Luke goes out the window in the air shaft on Bespin and falls down towards the platform below, in which he has to grapple the side of the walkway to stay from plummeting to his death. Both hands, holding tight on the walkways. Where does his lightsaber go and how does he get it back in the next scene?

Since I was on the topic of ESB, what in the blue hell is going on in the 'dinner table scene'? Is Vader using the Force to block the laser blasts, are they just hitting his metallic body and leather suit and exploding? What is going on here? This isn't a continuity thing, I just rewatched it about 5 times, forwards and backwards and can't figure it out. Then I did it in slow motion and you've got laser blasts hitting Vader, then this like giant light particle things going off, not timed with the explosion. Then you've got Han's blaster shooting what looks like empty round shells out of the top of the gun. Is this just a bad SFX scene or what?

I think THAT scene needs some love from the people at LFL. I don't understand the laser blasts hitting Vader or what Han's pistol is doing.

OMG! I've always wanted to see a DVD version with that scene reinserted from That's Entertainment! ADM, if you did this, you are my new favorite poster!

I'm a big OZ fan. Us OZ fan know there is one holy grail out there that unfortunately we will never see. Over the Rainbow Reprise from the witches castle. If only some film clerk had it hidden in his basement.

This goes in line with the DVD edit I always wanted to do of My Fair Lady with the Audrey Hepburn vocals inserted back in. Unfortunately, the film is too long to ever attempt such a thing.

heh, actually, yeah, i would say that maybe cause hes supposedly such a good bounty hunter he 'infered' where they were going (closest system, was in that general direction) but (and i didnt load up ESB) yeah, following closely behind the Falcon, either he's really good and stayed in Han's blind spot (do space ships have blind spots what with radar and all) or Han, Chewie, and Leia are blind

We could also assume that since HE knows Han from **shudder** ANH, that he also knows Lando and knows that the two were friends. So, he could have said to himself 'Lendough sisteam? 'Lendoughzz naught a sisteam, hez ah min' and figured it out. Still, he is tooooooo close after they clear the trash for him not to be seen.

Seems like some comprehensive work done for ANH, Darth Editous - are there plans to do similar for ESB and RoTJ in the future?

I think ESB is the easiest film to De-SEize. Wouldn't it just take some matte paintings in Bespin, some cuts of the Wampa and replacing the dialogue of the Emperor.

I think he used the PAL version because the colors were closer to being correct, yes?

However, I would be happier with sets that were on a lesser scale, if they looked realistic and not like CGI. I wouldn't mind that they weren't as big or vivid.

I'm one of those people who thinks that the less resources a good director has, the better the movie (to a point). With less gimmicks and effects to fall back on, the characters and plot become better to sustain interest. That's one of my favorite theories about filmmaking.

Yes, but the planets in the PT don't look CGI at all. Well, maybe alittle, but I think the planets (Naboo, Mustafar, Kyshhk) are breathtaking.

Yes, it is good. It's the film Hogan's Heroes was based on, without the completely over the top silliness.

ps, heh, thats an abrupt off topic switch

Well, I'm watching ESB right now before I go any further, just to be 100% sure.
