Tell me which exudes more evilness...

Eh, the original looks like a comic version of what it should be. The new version isn't great, but the original isn't stellar either.

Help: looking for... The Missing 'Raiders of The Lost Ark' Scene...
Time
He hates it because while a great scene, it goes against Indy's character. Can you imagine your history teacher just shooting a guy for no good reason? Indy isn't a cold blooded killer, that's established through out the films. Now, do I think it should be changed? No, it's a great peice of cinema, and has great lore to it. However, it makes about as much sense to the character as Luke just walking up and stabbing Jabba in the eye as soon as he walked into the palace.

So, are we in agreement that this scene doesn't exist?

If you do decide to do Empire, I just want to point out to you that there is a transperency problem with the matte during Vader's first telechoke conference. It's in one of the corners, I can't remember which now, but it was very obvious when I last watched it.

You can see the rest of the body of the Imperial Admiral, when all you should see is the wall in front of Vader.

Changes you want (or don't want) to the 2007 archival editions
Time
Tell ya what I'd like. I'd like ILM to stop blowing smoke up my ass, digitally remove all the lightsabers and once and for all correct the inconsistencies from one shot to the next. Don't tell me they are fixed and then they still look like crap. Fix them.

That's about it;.

Unless of course he wants to remove the Ewoks. Then I'll just get out of the way.

I was watching this looking for a good spot to put this and I agree, this is the best location for it. Basically, I would have cut it with them falling through the floor, having Greivous turn...silent, walking away as Vader did when the Falcon jumped to hyperspace in ESB, and then cut to Anakin reaching over to open that hatch. Then have them crawl out and cut back to them exiting the elevator.

Well, add to the list reinserting the music during the 'try not to upset him Anakin' scene with Greivous. On the video game, they show the clip from the film with the music that is inspired by Return of the Jedi and the barge scene, however...as I remember it theatrically, the DVD is pure silence during this entire scene until Grievous cracks the window.

The new transfer is amazing once they get out of the Sepia and into the Technicolor. I think probably the most beautiful shot is the classic shot of Toto from a upward angle barking at the Scarecrow on their first encounter. Truly amazing.

I suggest going ahead and getting this one, cause who knows how long it will be before the HDDVD version. However, they have the 4k raw data..something like 300 TB worth of data stored, ready to use.

The only thing I don't like about this release is there is still alot of grain. I mean, I like grain, but I would figure they'd be able to clean alot of it up. It becomes less noticeable in the Technicolor.

Are you planning on doing an updated Wizard of Oz edit, now that the new disc is out and they have included the entire dance routine cleaned up on the bonus disc?

Also included are extended and deleted shots of the tornado that were originally going to be included. They are pretty clean, but in black and white, so thus need the Sepia applied, an easy task.
