I meant that I’d revise my ANH project, which is sourced from the ‘19SE’ master first seen in 2019 on Disney+, to take advantage of the R2 light.
Well, that’s pretty cool! At a quick glance, episode 4 “Light Side” has at about 6:10 a brief clip of the key moment, “I am all the Jedi” with no dialogue or music.
I don’t know if that’d be useful for Sherlock or Faraday, but worth checking out!
I would certainly say this resource would have been very nice to have, but it doesn’t appear to immediately open up any locked doors. Could have saved some effort in the past, but that’s all right.
It really looks good. Boy, it might be worth revising my project with a version of the 2011 master to get in on that. I know you’d said you may later on tackle the 19SE, hence my curiosity of how feasible it’d be to transfer this work with R2’s light to that transfer.
How much work is left Hal, going by the first post things seem to be going very nicely.
Scroll to find a recent large post a couple pages ago for a current update.
I don’t know, and probably not, but would it be easy to map that work onto the 19SE and output? I don’t suppose we’d be so lucky but I hope you don’t mind asking.
This is how R2D2’s flashes will look like:

Gorgeous!
Yes
ROTJ, Shaw’s ghost is always gonna be the only thing that feels right to me.
TROS, you can understand why it’d be Hayden and it’s fine. It’s a little weird that everyone else is the old age at which they died, but eh.
Nah, just seems weird to make it someone other than Shaw, granted it was out of necessity. Who knows, maybe something like that gallery would give Jonh just the right amount of material to work with. Certainly doesn’t hurt to have it exist.
Yep. Exciting times.
I like it though, as it maintains more of TFA’s structure for the end climax even while shifting its meaning quite a bit.
Feels… inauthentic. Based on how Jonh has manipulated faces in the past I would think pulling real images of Shaw could work. But hey, I don’t know.
Those just… look like a recast for the role of old Anakin to me.
Yeah, even TFA:R! It wasn’t until V2 that that comes into play.
Oh I’d for sure not imagine it’d be doable. The only thing I’d think of for a source is when the heroes walk past a K2 droid in Rogue One on Scarif, clunking along robotically with no personality. Maybe the upcoming Cassian Andor series would have more footage to draw from.
But yeah, just an idea that doesn’t cost me anything to toss out.
I think part of what makes you ask the question has to do with things removed for this version anyway. And the battery analogy is about right.
Also, and this is a stretch, it even helps make (loose, SW-style) sense out of the star that SKB becomes, being much smaller than the original Sun; part of its energy was depleted.
Of course, just spitting ideas.
The shot for K2 is when Luke, Han, and Chewie are waiting for the elevator. You can see a bug-head 3PO droid walking by.
Certainly, he’s got a link to all my stuff, including my lossless audio output for that project.

For joeks
Also, Can I get some requests or ideas?
Well, I’d selfishly enjoy having a 19SE-sourced set of all relevant shots with R2’s blue-red light ‘fixed’ so others (me) could steal.
Vader’s lights would be the other thing in that category.
The other things that strike me, be they from Adywan’s work or in general are:
The lack of holograms in ANH. I like Adywan’s holographic display at the rebel base during the Death Star assault.
Fixing jump cuts during lightsaber ignitions. Something like Adywan’s recent clip, too, to adjust the color and bring a sense of greater consistency to Luke’s saber without erasing the character of the original effects. Sort of made it look about the same as the new Ben v Vader effects look relative to the original version of them.
Removing the added rats to Mos Eisley, and recreating that shot of traffic from the original but using the SE version of the backdrop.
Any non-ringed explosion for Alderaan would be great to field
Replace the black 3PO “Death Star droid” with a K2-SO model instead
Replace the shot of the rebel fighters heading toward the Death Star, perhaps with something closer to the original version; the SE shot looks bad and the R2 droid’s panels stick out as obviously incorrect.
R2 with blue panels in space, like ESB and ROTJ (SE)
Luke with purple hair just during the medal ceremony
I kinda like how the crawls often take poetic license a little, setting the stage with some hyperbole or fuzzy, dramatic narration.
Phantom Menace’s “two Jedi Knights.”
Clones implying Amidala supported creating a Republic army.
Sith’s “heroes on both sides.”
At least as interpreted from a larger perspective of lore than the film in a vacuum, the overly neat suggestion that Leia’s stolen plans will set the universe to rights.
Empire suggesting that Luke is the leader of the rebels, or at least those on Hoth.

Add sparks when Luke’s hand is sliced off to imply he already had a robotic hand.
Especially when I’m involved.
Make vaporwave, not vaporware.
Well good morning, I guess this is what my brain will be like today!
