OT bootleg DVD reviews
Time
Here's my reviwe on the TR47 DVDs.

The picture is great. It is the only bootleg set I own, so I can't compare to others.
But compared to my laserdiscs, they are far better!
This is because, I'm sure, my laserdisc player is NOT top notch. In fact, it's pretty low end. So this was a personal improvement for me, thanks to crappy laserdisc player.
The picture quality looks AWESOME on my 32" TV.
When watchin on PC, you can tell it isn't DVD perfect. But that can't be helped as they are sourced from laserdiscs.
No complaints about picture.

The sound is awesome. Listening to them through my father's obsessivly modified speak system, they sound like nothing I've heard before. Best sounding Star Wars I've heard.

There are no extras or menus. But that's worth it to make sure that the films themselves have the maximum quality possible.

I would HIGHLY recommend the TR47 set to anyone looking for bootlegs.

I'm thinking lawsuit...
Time
Eh, it's pretty nice.

But the Hyperspace crap is making me wanna cancel it. I think they are implying that they are even going to merge Insider subscribers into Hpyerspace the way they've been doing the vice versa.

Either way, it won't be very interesting after EpIII comes out.

I'm kinda tired of paying that much for it. So I'm gonna let my subscription run out.

I'll have issues 50-77. 27 issues.

MagnoliaFan Edition Episode III-VI Titles
Time
I'd be a hypocrite if I considerred the MagnoliaFan edits to be my "true" versions of episodes I and II. But I'd sure be interested in seeing them.

Heck, a DVD quality of a 'Phantom Edit' type deal where they are edited by someone wish similar opininons like me just might be my new official version.
My download of The Phantom Edit was taken from VHS, so it looks like crap. So i'm excited about this whenever the torrent is up.

2004 box set changes
Time
Hmm...

it certainly seems this isn't a half assed job like the 97 SE was.

When the set starts to look appealing, I always remember that all the crappy SE changes are still there. And the desire is instantly gone.

Sure Jabba looks better, but I push for not having the scene at all.
Sure Naboo looks good in the celebration, but I push for no galactic celebration at all.
Sure Greedo shooting first looks better, but I push for Greedo not shooting at all.

Hayden as a ghost sucks.
The new Emporer sucks.
The new Boba Fett voice sucks. (WTF?!!?! NOOO!!!)
You'd have to be crazy to want to change the lightsaber effects in ESB. WTF did they possibly find wrong with them??

All in all, I am neutral about this. By default I revert back to only having the O-OT on laserdisc transferred to DVD. And I'm happy.

God bless Rikter.

Info: OT Bootleg DVDs
Time
*sighs heavily at the Hayden ghost thing*

I can't say I have a strong opinion, seeing as I've completely given up with an official OT related ANYTHING anymore.

I have my Rikter TR47 set (albiet with minor errors) and I've satisfied.

The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
