Yes, but wouldn't that be great?
A version including
Han shootin first
Original Mos Eisley
No Jabba scene
Original Yavin Battle
No Wampa BS
Original Cloud City interior
Original Jabba Dance Number
Original Sarlacc
Original Ewok Ending complete with Sebastian Shaw (also original Shaw when the helmet is removed with eyebrows and without the recolored eyes BS)
Original Stormtrooper/Boba Fett voices (assuming they are replaced)
Original ESB Emperor Scene
BUT, also had
New lightsaber effects (when they actuall improve something
Greatly Enhanced Rancor effects
SE shots like Falcon taking off (several instances), adding more stormtroopers into background, replacing cardboard cutouts with real people, etc. just minor shots that generally improve it
Galactic celebration (perhaps where it shows the planets celebrating, but remains with the Ewok song once it pans back down eh?)
Crystal Clear Digital DVD Transfer (minus neccesary OOT shots/scenes)

If there's the originals, and the new DVD version...
the '97 SE is just a half-assed DVD version.
I'd go one way or the other.

I don't have the web space to host them, but if you IM me on AIM, my screen name is Backfloyd.
If anyone can host them, that'd be great. Thanks!

And I mean only problems. Don't replace perfectly good effects with CGI for no reason.
And don't change the plot, or storyline at all.
But the SE did almost the complete opposite of that.

56 more hours.
I have the DVDs, but it never hurts to have backup. Maybe I can use my MP3 player to shuttle the files to a friend's computer who had a DVD burner, who knows.

So I changed most of them for what I thought was for the better.
I'd happily print your out, Daniel. They look nicer than mine.

I can't get my chapter inserts to print in EFFING ACTUAL SIZE.
It keeps "cropping and rotating to fit".
Can anybody tell me how to make it stop? Or printing software that doesn't suck like that?

There is talk of doing a dual layer disc to have both, but at present it is expensive and has had mixed results according to Rik. Let us know what you got though. And welcome.
Not quite, sorry.
The TR47 set has 2.0 PCM stereo uncompressed audio, and is indeed widescreen.
The anamorphic set is in anamorphic widescreen, formatted for widescreen TVs.
Sorry, just needed to correct.

For a future DVDr release (be it Dual Layered or otherwise), I think it'd be a good idea to have 50 chapter stops.
It'd match up with the prequels and even SE DVD in Sept.
If said DVDr release is after Sept, you might even want to make the stops be in the same places and have the same names as the official set.
Minor thought.

Can you give us a larger, printable size of those? They are better than mine and since the names are good (
