Yes, I like this alteration made by MagnoliaFan. Since he is supposed to be shown more as a rougue Jedi than Sith, yellow makes sense.

I think Mace Windu's purple saber should be made blue, simply because the purple looks retarded. Samuel Jackson in a Star Wars movie weilding a purple saber. Oh, please.

So... does Rikter still want a review posted? I'd be more than happy to do it for him.

But if not, here's a brief run-down of how this set measures up:







It really is not that great of a Trilogy set. It looks like it was captured from an older, low-end laserdisc player. There are also many new video artifacts in it from the transfer process.
The picture is not very sharp, looking almost blurred when compared with the TR47 set. Whenever there is motion present in a shot (especially gradual motion over the whole frame, such as smoke or slow camera sliding) it tends to pixelate. This happens mostly in ANH, some in ROTJ, but not nearly as badly in ESB. ESB looks to have the best picture quality of the three. In the TR47 set, whenever something such as Darth Vader's lightsaber is in frame it has vertical lines across it probably from the transfer process. The Spider set does not have this problem and looks great in that respect. But whenever you run into a part where you would have to flip or change the LD, there is about one second of blank screen. This is very minor, since this only happens three times per film and is not distracting. It does not, however, have the same glitch as the TR47's four seconds of blank screen before Leia welding. I think with a better LD player for output, it could have been a lot better.
About the same goes for the audio. The audio isn't particularly *bad*, but it isn't good. It is quieter than the TR47 set and lacks the detail. It really leave something to be desired.
This set contains simplitive menus. A still background of a concept drawing. There are also chapter selection menus with thumbnails. The placement of the chapter stops seems random and not matched up to anything significant.

All in all, I would not reccomend this DVD set. The TR47 is much better, albiet without any sort of menu.
I suppose if I ever wanted to let anyone BORROW my Star Wars DVDs, I'd loan them my Spider set.

(IF anybody knows a good FREE program that I can take screenshots with, I'd be happy to post comparison shots with.)
