I see what you mean. Not sure it’s an out-and-out continuity problem, but it makes sense to include or exclude together. In the event that I revisit LOTR I will keep this in mind.
All Darth Vader dialogue is now sourced exclusively from Marty McFly in his Darth Vader disguise. It only leaves like three lines, so these are interspersed as best they match the situation.
EDIT: Actually, come to think of it, I’m pretty sure there’s a deleted scene with a handful more lines, so that should help some.

We do finish with Saruman in TTT, but I don’t think the TTT Rivendell scenes between Arwen and Aragorn are there at all. I could be wrong, but I think he removed them.
I recall a while back someone putting the BOBF episodes into a more or less chronological order to slot into Mandalorian episodes. Not re-editing them, just setting a customized order in which to view episodes of both shows.
Anyone know where I can find that list?

This isn’t really a book edit, even though Kerr recognizes when a change that brings it closer to the book also seems to help the film. (And when it doesn’t.)
Even so, he made changes that elegantly heightens things, especially in ROTK. Things I’d never have thought about because the movie is great as-is. I was impressed. All I can suggest is subbing these into your next watch and see what you think.

Believe it or not, Lucas was pretty hands-off, not directing them. And they emphasized their reliance on “practical effects” in the marketing. It’s no different in the future that a big movie like these is probably going to have a lot of computer work, but they went for that aesthetic to at least somewhat of an intentional degree. So, CG gophers? Eh, not in the sense I know you mean it.
As has been the case at the conclusion of every film trilogy so far, it’s for all intents and purposes the end. But I suspect there’ll be more eventually. It’s never ogre.
Maybe about the same level as the OT. Believe it or not, you end up wishing there were more.

Yeah, to me The Coaxium Heist works perfectly well when I want to watch Solo, but I would like an alternate version that uses the original opening. But yeah, I don’t really have much of a vision to tackle Solo. But you never know.
And the prequels have to just be done. I can’t keep reopening them up; it’s been a long time for me and those movies. My take on them has matured as much as it’s going to. They may not be replacements for the originals, but they’re complete for what they are. Although I could conceptualize someone doing a “half-assed” version that only gently adjusts the movies to a lesser degree.
Episode 8 is my favorite. You know how people tend to say ANH is great, ESB is even better, and ROTJ fell short? (Not necessarily my exact opinion.) Well, Episode 7 is good, Episode 8 is better, and Episode 9 drops off steeply.
