This DVD looks to me to be the best laserdisc transfer of ANH that I've ever seen.

Is there Empire and Jedi discs to go along with this? Cause the transfer looks great!

I meant DVD *burner*. Duh, I know players can't burn.

I finally found a REAL DVD plugin for Nero, and it works just fine now. I tested it by burning the Pre-ANH DVD, and it plays fine.

Thanks so much, it works now.

I don't have a Mac, so I don't have any toast.

Does anyone know why when I download Nero (I've tried several times) that it never comes with the "DVD-Video" option, only mini-DVD???

If you could answer this, you'd answer my problem.

Thanks for that link, I downloaded it.

I'm trying to burn from file, and I "browsed" to the VIDEO_TS folder. It seems to want an ISO file. What is ISO and how can I get one to burn the dvd file?

Can somebody tell me a good software program to download to burn DVDs on my external DVD player??

I've been using Roxio, and it's burned nothing but a few good frisbees. I've tried to download Nero but it never has the option of burning full DVDs.

Can somebody tell me where to get a Nero that can actually BURN real DVDs from file, or something else that can??
I will be forever in your debt.

Would anyone involved in skillful DVD/Video editing be interested in editing the prequel DVDs to match how they were presented in theatres?

It's not a huge edit.
Episode one would require removing certain parts of the podrace sequence, some shots on Coruscant, etc.

And Episode two would only really require a few lines and shots taken out.

It's really not a huge undertaking, but it might be a good idea for huge Star Wars fans. Just to have the "original" version of the prequels too.

The thing I hate most about the SE is that now whenever I sit down to watch the OT I can't help but notice when something goes by that was later changed.

Now when I see the ending of the saga, I think about how it was changed!

Here's all the changes I'm assuming we can anticipate for ROTS.

Different title and (better) opening crawl
Jar Jar dubbed and subtitled
Neimondians dubbed and subtitled
Dooku's lightsaber changed to yello
Any mention of Dooku as being a Sith lord right out will probably be at least attempted to be worked around
Deleted scenes will be incorporated, and some scenes taken out

Isn't the LOOK set famed for being utter crap?

I would like a good '97 SE torrent tho. I think that would be a better source for De-SEification. The contrast and picture differences would be less apparent. Plus the '04 DVD editions introduced a host of new technical problems that the 97 SE did not have.
