Episode 3: Fan Editing Ideas Discussion
Time
Sounds great!

The only thing I need help from outside sources will be the droid voices....
And, quite honestly, I would be fine with Revenge of the Sith if I could only edit out or modulate the battle and super battle droid voices. I hate them, I hate them, I hate them.

How did you edit them? Did you use Womble, or soemthing else? If I can't lower or alter them myself, can you send me some short MPG files of the parts you changed for me to plug in? *OR*, short MPG files with only the SUPER battle droid's voices REMOVED?

What I hope to do is trim a few things (many of which you trimmed, but not all of them), add in the rebel alliance scenes, and also REMOVE as many scenes as I can afford to loose. In order to shorten it.
The only scene I KNOW I can take out so far is the "are you sure we're on the right side" in Padme's apartment.

Anyway, all I need from outside my computer is some new battle droid voices, OR how to remove them. Thanks Digitalman, both for this and for everything else thus far! (I believe BOTH our sagas will be better than Lucas's)

Help Wanted: 1997 Special Edition Soundtrack that matches the 2004 DVD video?
Time
I love the Space Odyssey series. 2001 the movie was my dad's favorite movie and I ended up liking it too. The movie 2010 is terrible, but the novel is the best of any of the four! 2010 is the best book. 2061 was a bit hard to follow, I didn't really like it a lot. 3001 was entertaining, but kind of farfetched.
I haven't really seen any other Kubrick films. Hal 9000 is a good screen name, I think.

And about my ANH edit, I must give credit to AdigitalMan and Darth Editous more than me! Adigitalman for the coaching and direction, Darth Editious for some technical fixes that I borrowed, and Neil for the 97 soundtrack.
Without the source materials, I couldn't have done it.

I finished my work on the ANH edit, which does feature MOST of the soundtrack as being from the 1997 SE audio.

I didn't use your PAL discs for it, s7en. I appreciate them, don't get me wrong! But there's no way I can mix PAL with NTSC. But thanks!
I used Neil's "fixed" soundtrack disc (2004 video with 97 audio) as the base.

Still tinkering and working at the others films tho...

Classic Edition: The Empire Strikes Back by Ocpmovie (Released)
Time
Yes!

Depending on the quality of the ROTJ Classic Edition, I may or may not take a stab at editing it. (Or use parts of it for my custom edit even)

Return of the Jedi is very tricky and aggrivating to edit, I've tried restoring it totally to the OOT and it's no walk in the park. Good luck on it, this is the one I want to see the most!

THE FAN EDIT CONTEST HAS A WINNER !!! REVIEWS IN OFF TOPIC FORUM
Time
I'm very pleased with my edits so far, but I'm not doing them for the contest.
I'll happily enter them, of course! But I'm doing them to make the best Star Wars version possible, not to win a contest!

Except ROTJ... they really botchered it good. It still won't be very good. I cant really change most of the things I want to change...
