(New HD Version in the works) Sharkey's "Lord of the Rings" Purist Editions (Released)
Time

Well, a few things I removed for Sharkey's Edition are reinstated, including more Arwen stuff in TTT along with Aragorn being separated from the pack. Kerr has done some great stuff for ROTK, including use of the palantir. He and I have been keeping these things under wraps and collaborating together, so I don't want to spill too many beans. The most concise thing I can say is that while it is less strictly "purist" than our former efforts, it's still respectful of the books and of the original films themselves.

Well the project has evolved as its gone on. Its not really "Sharkey's" edit since Kerr is doing the actual editing this time, with me more as a consultant. While we both have a deap-seated admiration for Tolkien's work, this project won't be *as* purist-minded.

I'm not sure how they'll be distributed, but there certainly will be a dlc file at fanedit.info for them.

As far as the existing Sharkey's edits, a little bit of searching on the internet should yield them.

Anakin appearing young as a force ghost is "explained." I guess this guy doesn't realize that Anakin didn't die as a "wicked old man" considering he just saved his son from death.

Dave Filoni had to be tactful in expressing opinion about the altered force ghost in ROTJ. It's no secret it's loathed by most. Filoni is the cartoon version of Rick McCallum.

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Almost any PT edit will rattle its continuity with EU material. A radical edit like Adywan's all the moreso.

For my own prequel edits, I need to occasionally remember slight differences when I read novels. In Luceno's "Dark Lord," Bail Organa's wife takes care of Leia, since Padme had died in childbirth. Because my edit of Ep3 has her survive to raise Padme on Alderaan, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the book. It doesn't align perfectly with my edit, but I have no problem acknowledging this as I read and enjoy it. (Just hope future episodic films don't directly reference Padme's death on the operating table.)

Episode III: Revenge of the Ridiculousness
Time

Very good!

Quick idea, and I don't know if it'll fit what you're already doing: When Palpatine (sorry, "Sheev") asks, "Remember what you told me about your mother, and the Sand People?" have a title card saying something to the effect of "Scene Missing."

And while I'm thinking about it, might some oblique reference to the name "Sheev" be worked in somewhere?

Episode VII: The Force Awakens - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

Seems like the film will indeed feel very much like JJ's style, Star Trek '09-ish. Which is fine with me; I enjoyed that film for how Star Wars-like it was.

The soccer ball droid was a little weird, as was the red lightsaber. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of the 'big three,' but that's all right.

I said from the beginning that I am hoping for a movie about as good as Trek '09 and/or ROTJ.
