Well, I decided to included the extended landing on Naboo after recording the commentary, so I had to reshuffle several scenes. I tried to patch the commentary up to roughly match for that part of the movie, but evidently not well enough to fool you. 😉

I was 13 when I joined the forums in 2003. I grew up around this insanity.

I’m leaving for a month or so, as part of a break from all things Star Wars. Late 2012 through now has been crammed with Star Wars, and I just finished the last piece of housekeeping following the release of my final prequel edits.
But don’t worry, I’ll be back when TFA hits home video.

Make sure you do not use JDownloader to extract the archives. Do it in your filesystem.

Thanks to MalàStrana, all three edits have French and English subtitles. Once he get the French subs in a state he’s happy with, I’ll package them up and link to them on the IFDB listing for each.

But, as a little gift to you all, I went through and transcribed the Backstroke Of The West subs for Labyrinth Of Evil too. It was a nice bit of fun to close out my work on this project. Should be posted pretty soon.

By the way, MalaStrana, you’re a lunatic for making these subtitles. It’s enough work just translating them (or correcting the Google Translate output), there’s a reason I chose not to do what you did! But I’m glad you did.

It’s out of my hands, really. Kerr will deliver the quadrilogy… someday.

For Episode II, the biggest one is the different primary video source. The transfer is far superior to the BluRay if you ask me, for the color alone.
There are nips and tucks, but I included an additional deleted scene (the extended arrival on Naboo), which also allowed for shuffling some of the order of scenes and use more of the original theatrical wipe transitions. Of course, there’s also better looking upscales for the deleted scenes.

That’s all the big things I can think of at the moment; I’m not sure myself anymore. I’d recommend getting it if you want to have these on your go-to list.

And translating those subtitles from ‘Google Translate slop from French’ to readable English makes me realize how garbage some stuff still is. Especially having to type out Jar Jar’s dialogue.

A care package of the upscaled deleted scenes and a bunch of miscellaneous bits and pieces from my project should be appearing on Myspleen in about an hour.
I am also uploading it to Mega, and can provide links via PM once it’s uploaded.

V4, the final version of this endeavor, has been released. Look for it in the usual places, remembering it sometimes takes a while to appear on FanEdit.info. I’ll get the upscaled deleted scenes out to you all very soon, along with English and French versions of MalàStrana’s subtitles (or Project TeeSeeFourteen). I do also still hope to someday do an encode of V4 using Eman’s regrades when they get finished. Nonetheless, it’s done.

Looks very appealing. I’d love a color corrected BR transfer.
