I love the image used. Luke looks distorted but it’s just such a poor image. Surreal.

Weird, as I’m sure I used the same method to output the file. Compressor 3 gave me a .mov of the PCM audio, which Audacity was happy to export as a .wav.
Seems like BluRay audio is shrouded in fog.
If someone were to send me a converted version that would work for most intents and purposes, I can replace the wav file.
Is there some way to get the Spanish subtitles of this and/or your other PT edits? Or at least the English subtitles in an independent file so I can translate it myself.
I suggest you PM MalàStrana, who created the subtitles. I am currently working on a final version of these three edits, and he is planning to do subtitles for those as well. I can’t speak for his workflow for this, but it may be that he could provide you with finished (synced) English subtitles and you could translate these to Spanish. That would be a welcome addition to this final version, if you are willing.
So far I have sent him a screener for Episode III so he can sync the subtitles, with Episodes I and II coming after.
The 8.5GB 720p version should appear within 15 minutes, thus concluding this whole sha-bang.
It’s the ‘tiny encode’ version, about 1GB. The conventional 720p version will be about 9GB.
After your diligent work, I hope you are able to export it as its full capacity before you get rid of the source material. I just spotted it on the 'spleen, and am looking forward to checking it out. I expect it will serve very well to have on hand as an alternative to suggest to people for whom the alteration in my edit to Padme’s fate would be a stumbling block.
I wonder if any edition will use the more painted style artwork, I think it’s the Dolby Cinema one.
Anyway here’s a thing redacted by moderator
In for a hearty LOL before it’s removed by mods due to its source.
Yes, it too is located within the Google Drive folder linked to on the ‘red… it’ site. It’s a .wav file, as pure of an output as I can provide.
Better than I’d feared the day before yesterday, anyway. It’s doable, and I have got Episodes I and III where I want them, other than plugging in video improvements from NeverarGreat, DominicCobb, and/or Sir Ridley. (Crawls, day-for-night scene, Boleyn footage, etc.) They ought to be a very worthwhile V4.3/5 in order to put this baby to bed.
Just downloaded it and I’m scanning through.
Was there a reason that the updated X-wing approach shot wasn’t used?Ugh, are you kidding me? That’d be my bad. I honestly can’t see the difference, even now, so even though I looked at everything, I did not notice anything there. I’m genuinely good with leaving it as is unless you feel like a substantial improvement is being missed out on.
Honestly it’s fine to leave it, I would just put the update in Starlight at some point anyway.
I appreciate your honesty. I apologize once again, though I mean it as a compliment that both versions seem perfectly seamless to me. I don’t feel like anything at all is missing from what has been put out there the past 2 days, using the original version of your shot.
The 720p suffered a problem, which I saw when I woke up, though I know its cause (subtitles cause it to not encode entire video) so I’m reencoding now (and will mux subtitles in afterward). Hopefully no more than a day.
JEDIT: Handbrake takes a long time to encode, but the results are unparalleled.
EDIT: Disregard
I’m not sure I understand what the difference between 2.0 and 2.1 are. Would someone be kind to enlighten me?
Dubbed line of dialogue about the weapon being fully RE-charged, improved slowed down FX for some shots, replacing Kylo’s hood with the back of his head, 3PO being heard as he walks away from BB8, and some other audio stuff. All the little things that weren’t done in time for a pre-TLJ release.

I like that.
The 1080p, DVD5, and TinyEncode versions are now available on all the same channels. The 720p version is encoding now, and should be uploaded to those same places within about 12 hours.
After a somewhat disappointing V1, I’d like to say thank you once again to everyone who contributed to a V2(.1) that is pretty damn great.
Now, onto finishing my last go-round with the prequel trilogy. Then, I’ll be all caught up to see what can be done with TLJ.
I’d like to somehow extend the final shot of the Yoda scene to allow a few seconds more for the score to wind down and let it all sink in before being jerked back to Finn and Rose.
Hey, that looks pretty good! Certainly looks more thoroughly regraded to conform to the new context, with an overall brighter picture.
Here is the scene in question, from the BluRay, to be attempted to be converted to nighttime and/or sunset:

So I imagine Hyperspace as a different dimension entirely, and ships accelerate along a non-Euclidean vector causing them to only weakly interfere with normal matter.
My reaction to your attempt to make sense of this after what Abrams did in TFA, and your reaction to that:

Maybe they play the trailer before the movie itself.
“Bold. Stylistic.”
It’ll just be a learning curve. For the PT I just need to tread carefully and patiently to be able to coax a final output from it and then it can die.
FWIW, I do feel better after venting.
Lookout for V2.1 coming down the pike within a few days on the normal places. Any links should still function as I merely replace the files to be found there.
AbramPT provided a natural-sounding replacement for the FO tech guy’s line, allowing me to move onto distribution.
I’ll include the lossless wav audio (for nerds) as a separate download, though not in the full-sized release. If anyone wants to edit from this project, use this file to preserve quality, but I couldn’t mux it without the app I use crashing, and I cannot be certain that any lossless audio file I included anyway would be compatible with BR spec. (I was able to create a .w64 file but it could not be muxed in with my tools.) So, I took the safer route. Audio included is 5.1 640kbps AC3, which is perfectly good to my mind for viewing and listening purposes.
Mala,
I appreciate your well reasoned and articulated suggestions for restructuring, but I’m afraid the existing structure for LOE will remain as is for this final version. No balcony or apartment scenes, as including each seems to offer more problems than help. It’d be different if not for the way this particular edit is formed, based on Corigar’s edit and using the Boleyn footage to have Padme survive.
