I like the sound of that. đ
I like the sound of that. đ
Have you got any leads or tips for me about it, since youâve delved there before? I was only able to get ANHâs line to work after seeing what youâd done.
Oh my goodness⌠Iâve gotta get this done and put behind me!
I think I got the line to sound a little bit better even. I threw in a tiny bit of the âIâ leading into âI have something here for you.â But I crossfaded it with the end of âyour fatherâ which evidently sounds a fair bit like Ben is saying âIâ in the first place.

Hoping that âA Jedi MasterâŚâ turns out okay, too. It at least wonât be as easy as clipping the beginning of the word âthe.â
If I do make such changes, it would be in an alternate audio track.
That implication in ROTS is already present the way things are, and removing the slaughter would only leave the audience scratching their heads when Palpatine references it with no details.
I donât see any merit to keeping the garage scene without the confession, and while I donât mind disagreement, itâs a firm resolution for me.
Does anyone else seem to recall Adywan once doing a mockup (long ago) of changing the line to âA Jedi Master who instructed meâ? I canât seem to find it anywhere, and was hoping it would steer me down an already-established path to doing it.
I believe that couldâve been mine. Somehow I just cut out âYour fatherâ and that alone somehow made it sound like âI wanted you to have this-â.

I like that a great deal! Did you have to adjust sync of the shot to do that? It doesnât appear so. Could you perhaps send me audio?
Re: âyour motherâ - I tried to sort of tackle this in LOE.
Eh, itâs probably better not to alter the OT in that sort of way. Iâve got ESB fully ready to go, and I hope to begin distributing tomorrow. The picture looks better than Iâve seen Empire before, thanks to DrDre and Sir Ridley. I didnât have a complete set of LUTs, and creatively mixed and matched them much of the time on a scene-by-scene (and occasionally shot-by-shot) basis, but Iâm happy with the colors throughout. There are zero changes to the content, as this is merely remastering with a superior primary video source.
I seem to recall seeing a mockup at some point of the altered line in Benâs hut that sounded perfect. Does anyone here know whose this was or where it can be found? None of the âIâs Iâve had time to try so far fit in very well.
To me, the movie only allows the reasonable inference that Ben is lying after the dramatic pause when Luke asks about how his father died. Before that point, the clear implication is that heâs telling him the truth which Owen has obscured.
Hopefully Benâs line can be changed without affecting video sync, meaning that I can have audio tracks with both.
And of course the other can be changed to âthe Jedi Master who instructed the Jedi Master who instructed the Jedi Master who instructed me.â đ
Changing Obi-Wanâs line to â[I] wanted you to have this when you were old enough, but your uncle wouldnât allow it.â
ââŚ[a] Jedi Master who instructed me.â
Actually, I wonder how you all would feel about implementing these two specific alterations. Blasphemous? Acceptable within the frame of a âSpecial Editionâ for saga continuity? Irreconcilably opposed to me having bent over backwards to conform Ep3 to a few lines of dialogue from ROTJ? Okay to do only if relegated to a non-default audio track?
Spectacular! Thanks for sharing a preview.
Replace Luke during his final confrontation with Kylo at the end of TLJ with Admiral Ackbar.
Sure, thatâs possible, too.
Can you PM me a link to your edit please?

The music during the story being told by the orphan slave kids on Canto Bight at the end of TLJ is similar to the music as Luke is being born in ROTS. I wonder if John Williams was making the point that Luke has been reborn as a legend or symbol of hope.
Eman, Iâd be curious about your candid opinion of the HDTV master we have from schorman13 for AOTC. Head-to-head, how does it do compared to the BluRay?
In the original scene the two final shots of Anakin are together, and the scene transitions from there. The shots of Padme had to be placed in the order they are in order to do what else needed to be done to end the scene.
I think it would feel a little abrupt to just eliminate the last shot, though. But, fair enough. I can take another look, but I doubt itâll feel as smooth.
Yes, the most recent clip I posted reflects what Iâm intending V6 to look like.

It looks like the SD DVD master, with all its characteristics.
I use one of the two shots for one and the other for the other, no repeats.
Thanks; I will revisit those with careful ears and see if anything else can be done with them.
