The Rise of Skywalker: Ascendant (Released)

Thanks, Muffy, for verifying on a true 5.1 setup. I hope you get the chance to watch an eventual workprint that way, too. I don’t have access to one.

And, Chase, in my version as it stands… 3PO wakes up from surgery and meets Frik, then Hux reveals Chewbacca (beginning with blast door raising), then Kylo heads to the planet in his (other?) TIE.

Yeah, man, I feel you. I think most of us felt sort of stunned by the movie we got and are surprised by what’s been done so far by everyone.

The movie’s flaws are still there, but being able to at least make a few good alterations feels great. Personally, I’m acting more as MC than for other projects, so I’m especially thankful for the help. The 9000 saga will conclude with a bang.

Concluding several years’ worth of SW projects using a video editor that was last supported nearly a decade ago like…

Who the heck ARE the Sith in RoS?
Time

To ask a related question… if Sidious is all the Sith, I take that to mean that from perhaps Darth Bane onward the Master basically possesses the apprentice, and on and on it goes.

So, Darth Sidious ought to somehow contain all his predecessors, perhaps even really being Darth Bane. If this is so, how is one to read the line in ROTS in which Palpatine appears to revel in killing his master? “He could save others from death… but not himself.”

Sidious would essentially be Plagueis, right? It would make more sense if the line were something like “he thought he could kill him but he couldn’t.”
